Private Gutter Rats

Stacolt Plohol awoke.

The freighter began to shudder a little though enough to disturb him from his slumber. Looking around, Starcolt could see the many boxes surrounding he and his girlfriend: Enzo Faye shook a bit. Enzo slept soundly placing her head against his chest, a small smile was formed on her pale face. Starcolt couldn't help but smirk at his childhood friend now lover having a good night's rest after spending time worrying about what they were going to do. Starcolt and Enzo grew up together in the lower levels of Corascant, specifically level 1313. The place was high enough to form a "civilized" society but low enough to where the Galactic Alliance and the New Jedi Order couldn't afford to stretch their already thin assets to patrol the streets. That meant the only people that ran level 1313 were gangs from the Hutts, drug dealers, to Bounty Hunter organizations and orphans like Stacolt were caught in the middle.

To say it was a tough life would be an understatement, everyday Stacolt had to take any job that he could. Whether it was spying for rival gangs, or selling Deathsticks in the streets at night or valuables from innocents. If it weren't for Enzo, then he would've lost his mind years ago, he found stable work as a low level smuggler recently. It turned out Starcolt was pretty good at it, smuggling some drugs among gangs or more importantly information. If there was a few things that Stacolt had besides Enzo was his charm and being a crackshot with a blaster pistol. Smuggling thankfully provided both and he saw it as a ticket to make lots of credits for him and Enzo. For too long, the pair have been nomads without a ship sneaking in the back of freighters trying to eek out a living.

Right now Stacolt accepted a job from a merchant who lived in Ord Mantell to smuggle items to the Galactic Alliance. If Stacolt succeeded, he would receive the biggest payday of his life of course he was going to get in on the action. "Hey," Stacolt leaned in and kissed kissed Enzo's long brown hair. "We're almost to Ord Mantell."

The young woman awoke with a start, feeling her head bump into something hard, and grasping at it in confusion. She glanced back to him, eyes going wide as she realized what had happened. She was still wincing in pain holding the back of her head, as she offered him a grimace of a smirk, realizing she had probably inadvertently busted his lip with the action.

"Sooory" she whispered, whatever dream she had been having was clearly a bad one. She glanced around, quickly remembered just where they were. Stowed away on some ship like rats. Life had been better, but it sure as hell had been worse. It all boiled down to this man though. She took a liking to people pretty fast, sure, but she had watched this person grow from a young slick talking kid into a full grown man; and beyond that, she was plainly infatuated with the other.

Enzo tried to ignore the light ebb of pain coming from the back of her head, and shuffled to a kneeling position.
"Hey, how much credits again? Will we be able to get our own ship finally?" she started, not being able to help herself with the multitude of what ifs when it came to stuff like this.

To be fair, this stuff was more his doing than her own, she just had no common sense to say when enough was enough. Stacolt believed in himself, and his schemes; and she believed in him. It may not have been today, but he was going to take her right to the top. Though, from how he had talked up this thing, today might've just been the day.

"We aren't gonna get robbed again right? Cause that thing back on Nar Shaddaa... That sucked, you know that Rodian took my hairpin? What in the Bantha Poo does a Rodian need with a hairpin anyway?"

Stobar winced in pain when Enzo knocked her head against his lower lip. He forgot that she was a light sleeper at times, and the last time he tried to wake Enzo let's just say Stobar had a hard time going to the bathroom for a week. Taking a hop on a freighter was dangerous but when is bereft of credits then they have to make do. Especially two kids who came from the worst area in Coruscant, it was said a Smuggler was born lucky yet Stobar hasn't experienced. There wasn't a day that went by where he and Enzo's stomachs were growling when the frack would lady luck come down and bless them? The answer was never, the only thing that Stobar had was the blaster pistol that Enzo gave him on his 15th birthday and his wits and charm.

And that prize winning smile.

"Don't worry about it Zo," Stobar said wiping the blood on his sleeve. "It ain't that big of a deal it serves me right for trying to wake a light sleeper like you."

Stobar leaned against the metal boxes hearing the low hum of the freighter. He couldn't wait to afford his own ship, every time Stobar and Enzo would stow away in a ship, he would listen to the engine purring like a Voskar sniffing its young. It was like smooth music and Enzo would be the repair girl she was a wizard when it came to splicing. "Not sure," he said. "But it comes from this big time spaceport boss named Ringo. He may look legit but he likes to smuggle illegal things like Deathsticks and rare wines to his humble abode. He pays his client generously, It was a favor sent by Zatar the Hutt that minor crime lord we worked for in Nar Shadaa."

Zatar paid cheaply though, Stobar and Enzo gave her the credits from a Deathstick dealer undercutting plus the stash. She thanked them by giving the two of them an expired Pizza Parlor card. They couldn't even protest due to the many guards there and what's worse, Enzo had her hair pin stolen by a Rodian. "Who knows," Stobar said wrapping his arm around Enzo's shoulders. "Maybe he could've used it to lockpick. All I know is that as soon as this ship lands, we gotta hide in one of those crates. Hopefully we don't hide in a Pig pen this time, It took me a week to clean the stink off."

She gritted her teeth lightly at the blood, promising herself to be more mindful about how she woke up. It was kinda' hard though, considering you don't really know what's going on while you sleep. She leaned to him, her hair was currently done up in a bun, moving to plant a light kiss on his lips. That counted right? Kissing it better? In any case, after his explanation she would nod along.

"Lockpick... I could spit at those words, but it isn't lady-like."

She said, leaning her head back and resting it against the wall. It was true, she wanted more outta' life. Someone had even suggested she leave the life, and Colt behind... Her blue eyes focused on his face, a smirk forming on her lips.

That person was an idiot.

Maybe she was... Hell, what did it matter. She loved him, and she believed in his dreams. Even if this didn't lead them anywhere, which it likely wouldn't, she would follow; even if they ended up getting shot at again, she'd duck and cover, and she would follow. She wished she could be more... Useful to him at times. Outside of being a comfort to him physically, and mentally... She wanted to be cool like...

Ahhh hell there she went thinking about that damn Twi'lek woman again. It was years ago, but every time she thought about it she wanted to punch him right in his lip. She almost brought it up, but instead would just twist her face up in a very brief glare.

A sigh left her, and she would laugh at his comment about the Pig Pen. Oooh boy she wanted to bring it up, but it made no good to start an argument now. If he knew what was good for him, he wouldn't even say the word pizza around her.

"Damn that Zatar, you know one day she's gonna' get hers. I know we're all crooks or whatever.. But... I mean there should be honor amongst thieves or some crap like that. Shoulda' just took those sticks and sold em' ourselves."

Zo folded her arms then, resting one leg over the other as she went deep into thought.

She broke up with him for literally four days, and he went and tried to get with some.... Twi'lek floozy. She wasn't even that pretty... Her eyes flared at him again, head snapping to one of the corners of the room.

She hated how much she loved him.

Stobar chuckled continuing to hold Enzo close, they've stuck together throughout the years except for one time when they were 16 years old they got into a huge argument. Stobar didn't remember the details as he tried to forget that day, but it involved what was thought to be unthinkable at the time: They both broke up. His heart shattered and even though Stobar may act like the sappy type, he never liked flowery prose it was rather cheesy. Still It was enough for Stobar to hit the bar and try to drink away his problems. He remembered that first time he was truly alone and afraid he dedicated his life to Enzo and now she was gone from his life. It wasn't until a Twileak woman around his came in and talked to him, she was dressed in an alluring manner, two piece suit her cleavage sticking out. Her name was Naishe and she rubbed her body against Stobar saying that she notice that he was distraught.

She was right, Stobar was devastated losing his best friend and his love of his life. Yet Naishe was the first person, the only person who tried to give Stobar some comfort. One thing led to another but Stobar wasn't truly happy, it was only 4 days but there was little love between the two of them. It eventually lead Stobar to sneak out and find Enzo confessing what he did. The two of them made amends and got back together again, but the emotional scars still remained. Stobar was weighed down with guilt for being with Naishe even though he and Enzo broke up it felt like he was cheating on her. "I know that look Zo," Stobar said. "I love you and everything I do I do for you."

The freighter shuddered indicating they were making a final approach. "Come on," he whispered grabbing her hand. "Let's find a crate to hide in."

He knew that look huh? Better he did! She was about to start it all up right then, but elected not too. They were again, rats in the hold after all. Not to mention, hell it was years ago, she had to get over it eventually. Especially if she was content with sticking by his side after all. As such, she would nod when he mentioned it was time to hide, allowing him to take her hand and lead her to what he felt like was the best spot. To be fair, back then the thing that really set Zo off were the words Naishe spoke to her when she finally did see her...

'This the one that dumped you Colt?'

She squeezed his hand as again she mulled over it, wishing she knew how to fight. If she had a blaster... Well, she probably wouldn't have done anything, but she wanted too! Instead she just stood there like some kind of damned Goat. Even worse, a sheep... At least a Goat could headbutt things. She just stood staring back like she was getting spoken down on. No matter where she went, she secretly wanted to show that chick up. Go back to Coruscant one day, rich, and with Colt in hand and just... Well, just be seen by her.

What was important was the now though, and Colt's words elicited a smile from her

"Then this time, we do what we need to do for us... We're always getting trampled Colt, I love yah' too, but we can't eat love. Sure as hell can't fly on it."

The words came, oddly they seemed to carry an ominous tone, but it was one he should've understood. Ever since they were kids, it had been nothing but struggle. She was tough, but she wasn't that tough... She wanted comfort, and security. Hiding off in the bowels of rustbuckets like this was starting to weigh on her nerves...

And yet...

She followed.

"Ladies and gentlemen," the announcer's voice rang through the entire ship. "We are entering the atmosphere Ord Mantel, we'd advise anyone who's standing up to find their seats and fasten their seatbelts. We hoped that enjoyed this flight and that you will fly with us in the near future." The one good thing about commercial flights was that there wasn't too much security. The last time Stobar and Enzo snuck inside a freighter it was on their way to Nar Shadaa they were nearly caught by security. Of course when it came to transporting goods especially if it belonged to the Hutts. There was a whole army of those frackers using the most advanced scanners to check to see if there was all of the merchandise was accounted for. If it weren't for Zo improvising by sneaking towards an alarm and setting it off, they probably would've been Rancor food.

"Here we go," Stobar found a large wooden crate that was labeled: Warning fragile material. It was from some Coruscant glass store who were known for their exotic art pieces. Stobar should know considered that he smuggled some of them for the minor Hutts a few years ago. "Gimmie a moment," Stobar took out some powder from his pocket and sprinkled it on to the datapad revealing the fingerprints on the numbers. "Time for some guessing," the young man punched in the code but was rejected. "Okay was it 1-1-2? Or?" There was large noise indicating that the landing gear was being employed. "Ah frack it," Stobar took out his modified blaster and shot the numberpad keyboard off.

The door automatically opened and Stobar gave Enzo a smug smile. "Sometimes the discrete way won't cut it sweetheart," he said. "Sometimes you gotta shoot your problems away."

He allowed Enzo in first before going stowing himself away. "Just hold on to me Zo," Stobar whispered closing the door. "We're almost out."

Zo saw the keypad, and immediately starting rifling through the items on her bracelet, she could get in there easy. As she found one, she let out a loud.

"Ah!"

Frowning at him when he had done that, and staring at the blasted keypad. She huddled down, and scraped up the components throwing them inside the crate and hoisting herself inside.

"You really need to learn discretion Colt, now they can easily open up the damn thing... Lets hope they don't." she said, immediately beginning to worry. In any case, once inside, she held onto him, pressing her ear against his chest so she could hear his heartbeat. She just hoped they didn't get caught.

On the bright side, it was commercial freighter this time, so if they did get found out; they would probably be intent on alerting the authorities, not so much on beating them, or killing them on sight. In any case, they had reached the final leg, after this; they were outta there. As she stood there, she smirked, letting both her hands slid down his back and grip his backside with a giggle.

So quickly, she forgot about all the serious stuff, and she was just happy, and content to be with him in that moment, regardless of the danger surrounding it.

Stobar smirked. "Don't worry Zo," he whispered. "Being a Smuggler means that you gotta make things up as you go along." He slowly stroked Enzo's long brown hair as he leaned against the metal wall. "Discretion ain't my strong suit Zo," he said listening to the ship preparing to land. "I'm tired of running around and waiting for my turn. I want to get my chit now! I want credits, I want a ship and-"

He kissed her forehead again. "I want a place where you can feel safe Zo." he said chuckling when she gripped his backside. "Zo when you're happy, I'm happy and damnit I want to get these credits so we can get on our feet and start being the best smuggling duo this Galaxy ever seen!" Stobar closed his eyes holding Enzo. "It's not fair Zo," he said. "We keep getting pissed on and ripped off all because we're seen as the gutter rats from level 1313. Nobody cares for us! So we have to take the initiative and fight back! No more waiting let's seize the opportunity!"

He was damned right about that. In any case, as the stood there, she listened to what was happening outside of the container; still listening to his heartbeat. As if it would warn her of trouble or something, or even more as if her knowing about the trouble meant she could do a damn thing about it. His words however stuck with her. And she hoped her words stuck with him. She didn't wanna' be an underdog all her life. She wanted to be respected. She wanted to be able to go into the kitchen, and open the cabinets to see food.

Hell, she wanted cabinets to open in the first place.

That wasn't to say she wanted to be taken care of though. Enzo wanted to take care of Stacolt as well, it was why she bought him that blaster on his birthday years ago. After those Hutt thugs had beat the hell outta' him for cheating them in Pazaak. He was wrong, but she had never been more scared, they almost beat him to death. She sold one of the last things she had from her 'old life' and never told him about it, and bought him the blaster with her last money. She never told him either that she had gone alone to buy it, and was almost kidnapped.

He probably didn't need to know.

"I feel safe with you Colt, but its more than that... Like you said, I'm tired of gettin' pisse-.." she clutched onto him then, as a loud hiss-clank was heard from the opposite end of the storage hold.

'Alright, I want all this Feth outta' here in one hour" The voice approached in a group of others mumbling, and joking about whatever it was they had to joked about. Another voice audible right outside of the container they were in.

"Kark happened to this lock? I better not get blamed for this." the individual opened the door, and glanced inside. And as it happened, her heart sank.

Colt you idiot...

He stared at her, quite literally locking eyes with her, then glancing over to Colt. He was a kid, but luckily for them? He was a kid from Coruscant. He didn't know either of them, but would just glance between them and clear his throat. Slamming the container back shut.

"Lets get this one out first, locks busted!" he said, causing her to shudder out a pent up breath. For a duo that liked to complain, they had just been kissed by an angel.

Stacolt remembered the beatings the Hutts gave him back in Nar Shaada, the moment he and Enzo were ripped off of their last job the smiling, charming figure that Stacolt created for himself began to crack revealing a bitter and angry young man who was trying to survive and provide for his girlfriend in what seemed to be a hopeless situation. Stacolt yelled at the Hutt, cursing her out for deceiving them and asked for the payment right now. However Stacolt learned quickly to never cross a Hutt no matter how minor they may be. Stacolt remembered the beating received by Zatar's thugs: Two Wookies, he remembered the screams from Enzo begging her Zatar to stop and that her gift card was a generous payment. As Enzo escorted Stacolt out and tended to his wounds crying and giving him soft kisses, tears came out from his eyes. He wasn't worried about his broken body, that can be recovered it was his pride that was shattered. How can he protect Enzo, if he can't protect himself?

He knew that Enzo spent the last of her credits to give him a heavily modified blaster in which he added his own style to it. "I call her: Enzo." Stacolt said while Enzo peppered him with kisses. Stacolt vowed to protect Enzo from any danger. Everyday Stacolt would practice his aim with the blaster pistol realizing that he had a Sharpshooter's eye. Always hitting his mark even when Stacolt wasn't looking, when in doubt always give your opponent a face full of blaster. Stacolt thoughts were interrupted when the door opened and a small boy looked in. Enzo was frightened but Stacolt remained stonefaced, he recognized that kid......

"I know him," he whispered to Enzo seeing the boy place a chip on to floor. "He works for our contact. He was the one gave me the job and now he's giving us what appears to be the map to his humble abode."

She nodded at his words, relinquishing her tight grasp on him and moving to pick up the chip. She wore an old reader on her left forearm, and slipped it in. Turning to look about herself, and hoisting herself up on a durasteel container. Bringing up the map, she realized it was pre-coded with not their current location, but a location that the container would be dropped off at. It would've been about a block away once they got there. Committing that information to memory, she shut it off, and leaned back, hearing the tell tale clank of machinery around the container box. No doubt they wouldn't have a reason to check it again.

"I thought we were screwed... You surprised me again, Stacolt Plohol." she said his whole name, something she only ever did when he had truly caught her off guard. He had his moments, sometimes she felt like she knew him like the back of her hand, and at other times... Well, he was a stranger. Not in a bad way, but it was just strange sometimes how he behaved. Like he was a protocol droid that had been updated with new software overnight. In any case, he had thought ahead somehow, and she felt a little left in the dark.

As the container was lifted, she steadied herself, and glanced over to him with a brief look of worry. It faded, and she just relaxed, sinking back into her head again, deep in thought.

"How's Enzo working out for you anyway? Still shooting straight? I can check it out later if you want?"

Stacolt Plohol Stacolt Plohol

The crate was being lifted up as Stacolt maintained his balance, as Enzo analyzed the map on her reader. "So," Stacolt said frowning. "It looks like our friend: Ringo is located in the Galactic Alliance Embassy Center. Can you clean it up a bit Zo? It seems our drop off is going to be a different." The holoprojector showed many red dots according to the feet there was a protest going on about workers being underpaid allegedly receiving not enough to even pay their rent. Ha! At least these workers have a place to live!

"It looks like a change of plans," Stacolt said. "They're going drop us in a junkyard from there is a hike towards the Galactic Alliance Embassy." The Smuggler shook his head. "Ah chit," he sighed. "I fracking hate the GA they've never done anything for the people like us. We're struggling and the Alliance answer to that is: More war! It's funny they have the funds to do all that chit but not to feed their own people and in their home planet none the less! The place we were born Zo!"

He slammed his fist on to the metal wall before smiling at Enzo. "She's just like you: Beautiful and reliable." Stacolt took out his blaster giving it a twirl before holstering it. "Got any upgrades in mind sweetheart? I'd be glad to hear them."

She listened to him, and nodded through a yawn. "Maybe... Depends on how this job works out." Enzo said, rolling her eyes as he offered his cheesy compliment. Still couldn't believe he named a blaster after her, but she also didn't mind it. After all it gave her the impression she would always be with him, regardless of where he went.

"Cool it Spacer... I know the GA is full a Feth, but what are we gonna' do? Move to Sith space? Silver space? You heard about those Lobsters killing everyone right? Right now this is probably the safest place for us, even with all the crap" she rationalized, noting his feelings on the matter none-the-less. She shouldn't have been surprised, and honestly she wasn't.

To be very honest, Colt had a stronger claim to being a street kid than she did. Before she could remember it, back in the day she was someone. She remembered living somewhere fancy, having parents that brought her stuff... And then, at some point she was just on the street, by herself. That's when she ran into Colt, and he took to her like a bee to honey.

"Tell you what, if this chit doesn't work Colt I might just join the fleet my damn self... Sure they'll take a mechanic... BEFORE you say anything, you should think about it too... You're a crack-shot with that blaster, and we don't have anything on our records yet that would disqualify us. We could... I dunno, maybe have a career, you know?"

she asked, knowing she was going to irritate him with the question. Colt saw it as a cop out in their previous conversations, and had one time even walked off on her completely when she asked, but every now and then she brought it up.

She wanted him to understand that they couldn't just keep rolling dice and getting nowhere, and any solid future was better than an uncertain one. All the same, did she really want him fighting in anyone else's war? Did she want too?

Stacolt Plohol Stacolt Plohol

Oh here we again, Stacolt had to resist rolling his eyes when Enzo told him that the Galactic Alliance may be bad but there were other factions who were worse. Yes the Sith genocidal loons at least according to the Alliance News but Stacolt knew that neither side cared for people like him. "No one cares about people like us." Stacolt said sighing while he heard the soft hum of the crate their hiding in being moved. "The GA always ignores the people, we beg them to help us give some credits to get off her feet, stop the rampant crime and starvation that's prevalent in the lower levels of Coruscant. What do those politicians do? Nothing just send a police force to mercilessly beat up the innocent and guilty alike."

Stacolt remembered being patted down by the police for allegedly carrying Deathsticks in his pocket. In reality Stacolt was just fresh off going to the local candy store buying candy for Enzo who had a sweet tooth. The police forced him to place his hands on a burning vehicle and when Stacolt complained about his hands burning, the police cursed him out calling him gutter thrash. When they found out that there wasn't any only a pack of jawbreakers, they pushed Stacolt aside saying to stay out of trouble and leaving a distressed Enzo to heal his burned hands. "These assholes don't provide anything but they expect YOU to fight and die in their never ending wars! Forget them Zo we shouldn't be loyal to anyone but ourselves."

Self sufficiency was the way to go, why stick with a government that never gave a damn that you went hungry every day? "I don't know," Stacolt grumbled when Enzo said to have a career. "Would you really want to work for a bunch of people who spit in your face? It's best to live free even if it's not the best conditions. I will get us a better life Zo I don't want to poked and harassed by cops again." The young man closed his eyes and shooks his head trying to get rid of the memories of that encounter of his mind.

Just like him to completely shut out a good point he didn't agree with. Given she got it... The GA were chit, she had no arguments; but they paid their soldiers. When was he gonna get it through that Rancor skull she just wanted her future secured. She wanted to make sure her kids came into the world in comfort, not having to scrape like she had.

And she was already loyal to him, and herself... As far as his mention of working for people that spit in their face, she got a ltitle upset then, face flushing a bit red at that premise.

"The hell's the difference now Colt... At least the GA wont give us expired coupons to a fethin... You know what just forget it... " she said, unbeknownst to the other, while he had thrown out his, she still had hers. That expired card. One thing about Zo that Colt may have learned by now, was that while she wasn't outright aggressive, or combative; the woman could be vindictive. She may not get you today, or even tomorrow; but she would never forget a grudge she had against you...

Naishe...

Zatar.. Those b*****s were on a list.

Enzo folded her arms, daydreaming about revenge she would likely never see; but it didn't stop her from enjoying it mentally. It was like she had thought before... She envied those women in a way. Tough as nails, spoke their minds, and didn't need to hide behind another to verify what they said. Unfortunately, she wasn't like that. She usually just let Colt handle her problems, most especially if it came to anything physically demanding.

She had gotten comfortable with that...

Stacolt Plohol Stacolt Plohol

Once you're part of the Galactic Alliance Defense Force, you'll be forever linked to the GA. However despite the potential benefits that a soldier may get, it was only after they've squeezed the life out of you. A person has to serve at least 5 years in the service in order to get some benefits and that's only crumbs. A soldier has to serve more years if they want to enjoy the benefits that Generals get and even that is no guarantee. "Yeah they'll just give us chit pay and gladly throw us to the side when we lose a limb or get PTSD. Come on Zo you and I grew up on the same level guess how many homeless were former GADF veterans? You think the GA gives a damn for their troopers? We can't just give up our freedom for just security that's how they get to you."

Of course the reason why Enzo insisted on getting to the GA military was because she wanted children. Something that Stacolt was steadfeast against though he did mention to Enzo that once they settled down they can start a family. Yet Enzo spent most of her time dreaming about having children and living in an idyllic place like Naboo. It was something Stacolt promise to proved for Enzo but with children? Well it was better to take things one step at a time. There was a small tremor and the crate door opened, Stacolt blinked before going to the door to check outside.

As Stacolt did, he was greeted by a bright light he saw the clear blue skies of Ord Mantell alone with the smell of space fuel. "It's all clear," Stacolt told Enzo. "Looks like we made it Zo, now it's a walk towards the Embassy."

As that container opened up, she leaned herself back, stretching out fully with a yawn. Sliding off the durasteel container, her boots hit the ground with a clink, and she felt into a sultry walk following just behind, and to the side of Colt. For those with the eyes for it, you could almost read where she was from by that walk; the kids, and personalities from their level being that damn distinctive. Given, the whole damn underbelly was tough, but being from their level meant something still. Just as Colt did, whether he knew it or not, they wore it like a badge of honor.

"Alright, alright, alright.... I get it. I'm sorrry... Screw the G-A" she said, and not just saying it either, feeling it... Given, after a few weeks, or the next time her stomach rumbled, or maybe the time after that; she might think about that same conversation again. It usually came from a place of want, those kinds of talks with her. Both hands went up to her hair, pulling that pin and letting her hair fall about herself, shaking her head to further accentuate the action.

"You know I've never actually been inside an embassy building... Think they got stuff to... Y'know"

She made an exaggerated O shape with her mouth, sliding her own hairpin in her pocket. Outside of that, she observed the people on the street, listened to them, and for the most part felt indifferent. Hell her and Colt had done the same kind of protesting back home, that chit never worked out well. Then again, back then the G-A had started tossing tear gas, and using glob grenades and the like. It caused her to shudder remembering what getting hit with a stun baton felt like.

Stacolt Plohol Stacolt Plohol

Stacolt smiled at Enzo's emphatic statement about the Galactic Alliance, they were more concerned with filling pockets of trillionaires rather than doing what they were elected for like helping the helpless. But Stacolt and Enzo were far from helpless, they were willing to take the initiative and carve out their own paths even if the path is littered with stolen goods and maybe the occasional dead body or two. "Yeah screw them," Stacolt said placing his hands over his head looking over the junkyard. It was microscopic compared to the country size ones back at Coruscant. He and Enzo would scavenge in the Junkyard from time to time when they were kids. Occasionally picking out the most valuable ones to sell on the streets.

He took a deep breath in an effort to calm himself down considering that whenever he goes on a rant, he tends to ramble on for hours. Enzo would often joke that Stacolt's rants were a great way to putting her to sleep often nicknaming him Ambien. Stacolt would often roll his eyes often saying that what he said was facts though he did make a conscious effort in reducing the lengths of his rants. As soon as they left junkyard, the pair found themselves in the city. Enzo allowed her chocolate brown hair to fall beneath her shoulders and landing on her waist. She loved to have her hair down though the only time she would tie it up was when she was working on repairs or slicing into terminals.

The sultry walk Enzo did was mostly for Stacolt a not so subtle way of getting him to pay attention to her and not lose track of her whenever they're in a huge place. "I've never been in an Embassy building as well," he said. "If I had to guess it would have at least a few things worth.... you know."

He looped his arm around hers as they entered deeper into the city. Ships zipped above them, the mild temperature of Ord Mantell made it palpable though the rampant smoke from the industries made it hard to see. "Ord Mantell is in the CIS territory," Stacolt muttered to Enzo. "It's also a safe haven for Bounty Hunters. Good we're nobodies because an old saying goes: Ord Mantell is the last place a target would think of go to."

As he looped her arms, she took his in turn pulling him close albeit having to alter her very out there gait to match his own walk. "Don't tell me you're thinking of picking up Bounty Hunting? That's a joke..." she said immediately, almost regretting even making the joke in the first place. A flash of Stacolt beat up, and near death flashing to head almost made her-... No, she did shudder against him. Pushing that thought from memory. As far as being on any lists, or bounties? She had no problem with that. Colt damn well knew her record was squeaky clean. And she doubted a hutt would've put a bounty on her, she had no idea why that would have been a thing

"Its like a Wookie house party out here" Enzo mumbled, unzipping her top a bit. All the people, the smoke, and the heat was near unbearable; flicking her wrist, she brought up that map again, noting they weren't insanely far away from their destination. Just a little longer.
