Faction Gun Running

Zela Urrin

ESD, Covert Observation Agent
The lunar colony of Crossroads Prime was the capital of the Crossroads Republic, the green and blue jewel-like world had a strong perpetually-present planetary shield around it which was connected around a massive network of skyhooks of varying designs and purposes, most of which were spaceports and factories, there to get away from the very stringent environmental protection policies of the massive moon and its 280% gravity. Zela Urrin had been assigned to handle a new mission for new rebel friends, specifically Loreena Arenais-Valhoun Loreena Arenais-Valhoun . The government had approved a massive material assistance program to her people. So smugglers had been contacted to handle the shipment of the goods she was checking over. There were Tier-3 Special Forces personnel, black-armored Shock Troops, locking down the spaceport and all holocameras were shut down per ESD policy. But the ships that would be coming in here would be granted access, as would their other guest and her ship, if she brought it.

The young woman had several stacks of boxes holding a mixture of medical supplies, ration packs, and communications equipment. Behind her were other items, crates with HOB/F Heavy Repeating Blaster Cannons, CBR-800 Blaster Rifles, CDP-10 Blaster Pistols, RPS-50 Rocket Launchers, CM-20 Light and CM-33 Heavy Mortars and lots of ammunition for all of these weapons. There were even crates of detonite blocks with detonators, and a Crossroads special, MRD-M "Whistling Bird Mines". There were no vehicles or heavier artillery pieces, although Crossroads very much intended to send some of those as soon as possible. But the ESD decided that Zela and a so-far undisclosed spec-ops team would need to decide if they had a pipeline to get equipment in, and rebels back to Crossroads to train them here, where the Eternal Empire couldn't get them.

So, Zela was left to wait for her smugglers, Jacen Rann Jacen Rann and Cuan Kunn Cuan Kunn .

The Traveler jumped out of Hyperspace above Crossroads Prime. After spotting the landing platform, Jacen began his slow decent. He was taking a job to deliver some supplies to a group of rebels in the Eternal Empire. Just a simple smuggling run. The traveler landed and the ramp was lowered. As he walked out he spotted a young woman standing near some boxes presumably the supplies he'd be taking. "Hello there, you must be the agent from the Crossroads Republic. Pleased to meet you. The Runner is here to deliver. Haha." Said Jacen. First impressions mattered.

Zela turned her head at the man, one eyebrow cocked, “Did you just say: ‘Haha’? Is this situation funny to you, smuggler?” she demanded of the young man, who she was now questioning the credentials of.

A bit embarrassed Jacen replied. "This isn't funny and no offense was meant. I just work better when I'm in a good mood that's all." Pointing at the boxes he asked "Is that my shipment?"

(OOC Probably should have made it clearer but t was suppose to be him laughing.)

“Yes, go ahead and load up the explosives and ammunition first,” Zela pointed to the crates she meant, “Hopefully we’ll have a larger freighter to base out of,” she explained, “Your ship will be the primary mover of the goods into Eternal Empire territory, at least that’s the current plan.”

He was a good pilot. A fighter pilot for sure. He was based aboard the Oasis, following Starchaser as part of his Sullustan guard, and well, he’d flown with the Jedi Master for years. But with the Oasis out doing its own work, that left Cuan and his partner-in-crime Peyton Steele with a lot of time on their hands. She and he had worked together a long enough time that when the OPA collapsed they just kept working together. He knew the stares they got at the bars when they were walking in for a job, but it wasn’t like that.

She was… great but totally not his type. Anyway, he was following up on some old leads, and figured doing some good old fashioned smuggling was a great way to make some fast credits. Peyton had some mission to hop on, looking for something in the Concord and that left Cuan up to his own devices. Taking his X-Wing, he heard that there was a way to get on to at least crew something else, he made his way to the meeting point.

As he landed his fighter at the lunar colony, the Sullustan stepped from his X-Wing, seeming to mutter something in Sullustese to his astromech before approaching the woman who looked to be in charge. In a really garbled basic, he offered “Pilot Cuan Kunn. Shipment move.” It was broken, he knew what to say, but it wasn’t his native tongue. And his demeanor did more for his relaxed attitude than his words.

Zela looked over the new arrival and their seemingly ancient X-Wing. It was not a design seen around the territory of the Crossroads Republic very often at all, even back in the old Galactic Civil War they didn’t show up around here.

“Welcome,” Zela nodded to the individual, “Glad you made it, why don’t you two introduce yourselves to each other and them we’ll go ahead and get the job briefing conducted.”

Jacen looked at the Sullustan that had just arraived. After a brief look at him, Jacen extended out his hand and said "Greetings, name's Runner, pleased to meet you. Looks like we will be doing this job together. Can't wait."
