Panatha
Near Kaine's residence

Bjornveld, a Bounty Hunter who was also somewhat trained in the ways of the Sith, was walking through the streets of Panatha. He was here because of a Bounty that had been placed on a merchant who resided here. His friends were here as well, though they were still at the spaceport, buying some supplies from the local population, while he was sent out to handle the Bounty. It was a fair deal. The last time his friend Verd had been sent to get the Bounty they were out to collect so following logic it was his turn now. The Bounty shouldn't be too hard to collect, after all it was just a simple Merchant who had most likely hired four or five Body Guards to protect him. Bjornveld knew the location of the merchants shop and he knew that the man would be there today, so it was only a matter of time until the whole thing got rolling.

jornveld finally arrived at the merchant's shop. Two guards, that was disappointing. Bjornveld had expected a couple more guards. At least four, but oh well, you can't always get what you want now, can you? So he moved over to the men. He was as casual as a seven foot six tall Bounty Hunter clad in ancient looking Sith armor could be. The guards were suspicious of course, but seeing as a Sith Lord had taken control over the planet, they were not surprised to see a Sith running around here and there. Inside the shop Bjornveld saw two more guards, each standing next to a man talking to the shop assistant standing at the cash register. The man seemed upset about something and he was yelling at the shop assistant, so he was distracted. The perfect opportunity for Bjornveld to strike. A crimson blade ignited and got rammed through the chest of the yelling man, silencing him forever. The two guards spun around, but before they were able to even shoot, Bjornveld had already disarmed one with his free hand and sliced the other guard in half with his Lightsaber. Then the blade got rammed thought the chest of the remaining guard. That one let out a scream of pain as he died. This combined with the sound of a Lightsaber roaring through the air paired with the terrified screams of a shop assistant got the attention of the guards standing outside the shop. They barged in, just to witness a massacre had taken place. Two man with scorch marks on their chests, one man sliced in half and a shop assistant impaled by a weapon that had been thrown at him at a high speed. The guards had a look of pure horror on their faces, and so they should have. Bjornveld would not show them any mercy, as he had not shown any mercy to the men inside the shop. He turned around, deflecting two blaster bolts from the guard's blaster pistols and then continued to slice off the arm of one of the guards, followed by a quick horizontal slash towards the other guard, which was standing fairly close to the first one. Both of them fell to the ground. One of them wincing in pain and shouting cries for help, the other dead. Bjornveld had made quite a mess, better get out of here before the authorities noticed.

It didn't take long for the Panatha Enforcers to triangulate the rogue Sith's position, but none of them could hold a candle to the Sith. Thus the Inquisitors were quickly called out to deal with the threat, but their skills were too found wanting, and now there was only one thing left to unleash.

The Emperor of Panatha didn't very much like to sully his hands with trifle matters such as this, but he realized a possible threat when he saw one. Thus he moved out quickly from the palace to the city in question, followed by no one and armed with his primary lightsaber only. He wore the Sith Amulet Rave had forged for him around his neck, completely masking his signature in the Force from all who would attempt to seek it out, thus rendering him invisible in the Force as he approached. He didn't want the rogue Sith to bug out before he actually got there, which is why a large battalion of soldiers were routed in the Sith's path to slow him down long enough for Kaine to adequately close in. Emperor Kaine could feel the Sith in the Force, and closed in like the creature the Dark Lord had given for his Darth name.

Finally he approached, appearing atop one of the nearby buildings bordering the street the rogue Sith was taking. "I don't appreciate the trouble you've caused me and my people. Stand down now, and your death with be swift."

After exiting the shop, he encountered a couple of Police officers who were around by chance and had heard the screams and the Lightsaber. Deciding not to go the long route of getting interrogated and imprisoned, he activated his Lightsaber again after taking a couple steps towards the Police Officers. Luckily those didn't have any kind of armor on and were probably only recruits, since Bjornveld was able to take them out much easier than the guards inside the building. Just one quick swipe with the Lightsaber and they were both lying on the ground with a glimmering burn wounds across their chests. Wow, so many casualties on this bounty. He had expected a quick mission to kill the one guy and then get out of here and off-planet, but it seemed there was more to come as a stranger called to him from atop a building. This was getting ridiculous. What was that guy thinking? Just standing atop a building and shouting down towards a man who had just slaughtered two men in front of his eyes? And he wasn't even a Force User, how did he expect to take on Bjornveld all by himself? So Bjornveld turned towards the fool and pointed his fiery red Lightsaber at him, holding it at the same height as his head pointed at the stranger. ''What do you expect to do against someone like me?''

Kaine gently walked over the edge of the building, plummeting down to the ground to land on his feet a few meters away from the wayward assassin. By now more guards had arrived, but kept their distance at both ends of the street, and concerned civilians peeked out from behind half-closed shutters to watch the intense confrontation go down between the King and the assassin. "What do I expect to do? Well, I'll tell you what I'm going to do, make a little wager. We fight, and if you defeat me, you win and are free to go. If I disarm you and snap your weapon arm like a twig, then I win and you become my prisoner. Sound fun? Of course it does, and you're in no position to refuse I'm afraid." He chuckled and nonchalantly picked at the dirt underneath his fingernails while he laid out the terms and conditions to the assassin.

"To make it even more fair, I'll let you strike first." He spread both arms wide, exposing the chest of his silk tunic, and it was evident that he had no weapons on either side of his hip. It was now up to Bjornveld to decide what his next move would be.

The guards swarmed both sides of the street, making it impossible for Bjornveld to get out of this situation if it got out of hand. In addition to that, the crazy bloke on the house had somehow managed to survive the drop and was now even challenging Bjornveld to a duel. It was surprising and at first he thought this was the most foolish thing he had ever heard someone without the power to use the Force say, especially if it's someone like this who most likely spent his whole life in some Royal house, learning how to be a proper Prince. But when the man said that he would let Bjornveld attack first, he knew there was something off about this guy. No one could be foolish enough to stand there with open arms waiting to be attacked by someone with a lightsaber. ''I accept your conditions.'' He said with an angry expression on his face. Deciding to approach a bit more cautiously, he came closer, until he was about two meters away from the man. He stopped there for a second before in a lightning fast motion taking of his cloak, throwing it in the man's direction and sidestepping towards him so that he would be able to attack from the side while the man was distracted by the cloak. He brought up his Lightsaber for a horizontal strike against the man, thinking he would still be distracted by the cloak and would not notice the red blade coming at him from his right.

The cloak completely enveloped the smiling man, obscuring him from view as the assassin continued to come at him with his lightsaber. The blade continued unhindered through the cloak, and perhaps even through the man hidden underneath. However; as the smoking cloak fell away from the assassin's assault, that appeared to be not the case. No trace of the man remained, and that's when movement at the corner of his vision would not doubt capture his attention. It was the Noble, unharmed and smiling away, but before the assassin's brain could probably put two and two together, another replica of the noble appeared from an adjacent alleyway, and another... and another... and another. Then they spoke, all in unison, "You should have run when you had the chance, because now I get to have my fun with you."

The replicas all lunged at once, from every angle with the look of murderous malice plastered across their faces. Of course they were incorporeal, illusions conjured by the real noble through a combination of magic and mental fortitude, but the real one would eventually reveal himself soon enough. As the replicas descended, the real Kaine would reach out with the Force at Bjornveld's legs, and attempt to knock him to his feet as the illusions closed in.
