- Enables the firing of a grapple line that will adhere to any non-liquid surface
- Liquid line is created or stowed on demand by spinnerets, so no need to carry coils of line
- Attractor node tip will adhere to any surface or object with 500 pounds of strength
- Repulsor node enables trick shots by deflecting the line to wrap around a target.
- Line flies out up to 100 feet (30.5 meters)at 30 meters per second.
- Does no damage unless used to strangle a target.
- Liquid line canister must be replaced if line is cut.
- The attractor/repulsor node must be replaced if the line is cut and the original is not retrieved.
- Retraction of line is limited to ten meters per second and 500 pounds of force.
- If the target is heavier than you or can exert more force than you, then they won't move. You will move.
This is the standard grappler used by bounty hunters, soldiers, and security forces galaxy-wide.
It fires a grapple line up to 100 feet distant, it will adhere to any solid surface, and the line can be retrieved after it is fired. The unit makes use of a simple liquid-line canister, retrieval motor, and energy cell to perform all of its line issuing or retrieving functions.
'Trick Shots' are possible thanks to the tip node having both repulsor and attractor node features. Just angle your hand the way you'd like the cable to move as it flies forward.
As long as the cable isn't cut, it can be retracted by the motor, re-liquified by the spinnerets, and will re-fill the liquid line canister. If the line is cut, replacement liquid line canisters are available at any hardware store.
