Goooooood morning, Hypori

There was a lot of work ahead of the pair. Coren had been attempting to at least impart the knowledge of instinctive astrogation on his student since she had come back from… maternity leave. Gross. But whatever, the pair were back, and they had their next mission. It wasn’t leading fleets into battle, but it was much more similar to what he was used to: strike and fade missions. Raiding, is what it was.

Well, of coruse it could end up being they could walk peacefully out with their purchases, but something about Coren didn’t think so. He wasn’t completely sure of all the companies involved in the Techno Union, only that there was a lot. He knew that they had some really fancy technology, but he had gotten word that their Obsidian Order was training in the dark side.

He was curious as to how this would affect relations. Still, turning back to Chevu, the pilot had adjusted his jacket. They were heading to Hypori, in a ship that was projecting a very tiny radar frame and running on a false name right now. The ShortFin was calling the Stingray as she touched down.

Stepping away from the controls, he looked up. “You’re watching her, Lexi. If need be, bug out and we’ll find our own way home.” That was, if they started to cause an issue. But as was typical for this Master-slaveStudent pair, leathers, and looking like some cross of a speeder racer and a spacer. Lightsaber, the bloodsteel hilt and orange blade, on his hip, Power Nine blaster under his jacket in a chest holster.

“Ready?”

Pretty simple, go see what they purchase, and check the shopping list, then they could would go on about what else they had to get. He pulled the hood up. He didn’t like rain. Liked being wet, but didn’t like the rain.

Dressed in an armorweave huntsuit, and geared up with her lightsaber, blaster, and Force-imbued discblades, Chevu was beyond ready for this mission. She also had an even bigger chip on her shoulder to flaunt. [member="Coren Starchaser"] didn't say it, but the Mirialan Knight was willing to bet a sizable amount of credits that her Master felt that motherhood got in the way of her focus. If anything, Chevu felt even more focused now. If she brought two new people into the galaxy, she would be karking sure that she was going to make that galaxy a better place for those people. She was also going to make fething sure that there were fewer chances that one of her children might turn to the dark side or become a cruel despot in some undiscovered crawlspace of the galaxy. Coren was a father himself. Surely he could understand the drive.

However, today's trip to Hypori wasn't exactly about doing a good thing for the galaxy. In fact, today, Coren and Chevu were going to be doing a questionable thing at best. But the technology that the two Forcers got their hands on would help the Galactic Alliance in the long run, so the ends justified the means. Stealing from dark siders to give to the light? There was a fable in there somewhere.

"Ready, Commander," she said, pulling her hood over her now-damp hair. Chevu had been training relentlessly for the weeks leading up to the operation. Her body was fit and lithe, in peak physical condition, and she had brimming reserves of Force energy, enough to power a small space station.

It felt good.

With Coren, he knew he could separate his mind from everything. Hell, he was the type of person who, if he was chasing some man in black across a desert, he’d allow his body to wither and die so long as he kept moving forward. When Jared and Kaia were born, before carbonite slumber he found himself in for nearly two decades, apparently he threw himself headlong into the squadron. That was around the time when Lily had retired from Wing operations and was the Ship Captain of the Dawn Treader and Scall had taken over as the Commander and most feared Force user in the group.

Coren remained doing what he was good at, throwing himself headlong into battle, and chasing down leads on the Sith. Sure, a 21 year old should not be making choices about spawning, but his wife was a few years older than he was, and she wanted them, and was willing to retire from her job in CorSec Interdictions and Counter-Smuggling. That left Coren a lot of wiggle room.

And now? He couldn’t even imagine making another child. What would he do with it? Couldn’t use it to fight the Sith, how Chevu was managing this all was going to be news to him. He did his best to not allow his own bias to sink into how she handled the Wrath’s children. Didn’t matter now, she was here, and she wasn’t looking worse for wear. He’d have to put it on his list though, to go dunk the Wrath into the lava of Sullust.

They weren’t here as officially sanctioned by the Alliance, he shook his head. Anyone who joined them from the Alliance were going to have to understand they’d be disavowed. Especially if push came to shove. “Watch the titles, Visz.” He retorted as he waited for her to catch up. “Alright, so lets see who is who in this city.”

He looked up, the drizzle, mixed with the neon lights was casting a few different shadows, and he was hoping to use them. He might be able to fold space, but he was going to need to work on his approach, bring back his SpecOps training if he was going to be taking more ground missions as well. “Droids, armor, weapons. Ships we can handle.”

The Hypori rain that dappled her skin was probably full of toxins and pollutants, but it felt good. Cleansing. Almost as if it was washing away the stress of the last nine months. Chevu had been under the crushing weight of judgement by her peers, the subject of gossip around the biodome, and a source of both amusement and disdain. Her leadership was questioned. Her rank was stripped. She could only go up from here. Couldn't she?

She caught up to Coren and pulled her hood around her face a little bit closer. There were cameras everywhere. Reaching out with the Force, she used her telekinesis to crush a few of them before they passed so that the little buggers didn't record them. The two Forcers seemed to be in the center of some kind of entertainment district, but nearing a corporate sector. Craning her neck, she spied a skyscraper topped with enormous flashing words she recognized in cerulean and pink. InnoteQ.

"That the one?" she asked, pointing to the Innote Q corporate tower.

WIthout waiting for an answer, she trotted towards it, hands in her pockets.

Try and keep up, Starchaser.

[member="Coren Starchaser"]

No matter what they were doing, this was the Techno Union, there were cameras all over the place. At least how Coren saw it. He had his apprentice back, and dare he say it, it was a welcome partnership again. She did know what she was doing, regardless of past choices. He wasn’t so sure she was ready to take the full weight of her former position, if that was even his choice to make anyone. Could he give her a situation that wasn’t in the New Jedi Order? She’d be a waste in that Order.

Landing in the entertainment districts was always nice, so many ships came through that hopefully the ShortFin/Stingray would not be standing out too much. Ships came from the galaxy over, and sure, she was a Silk prototype, but how many people really recognized a pattern in Silk, and then would see something cleaner looking. Didn’t take long for the pair to make it to the commercial district.

Looking over as Chevu spoke, Coren nodded at the building she was indicating. And that was when she took off. Hate to see her go, love to watch her leavelead. Coren rolled his eyes as he made after his student.

First step? Probably getting inside, no way their credits would take here, right?

[member="Chevu Visz"]

Chevu smirked as Coren joined her. They hadn't been on a mission together since Alaris Prime where they'd found a Holocron, and she'd also kissed him. Oops. Was probably a one-off-heat-of-the-moment thing, she guessed. Or some kind of stress response? Something like that anyway. After that she'd taken a hiatus from going out in the field, and perhaps that was the best thing for their partnership. It cleaned the slate anyway.

She surreptitiously peered into the building which seemed to be closed for the night, the front desk staffed by a few Bothan guards. Focusing on them, she unleashed her go-to power, Malacia, sickening each of them so much that they headed for the refreshers. While the guards were indisposed with dual cases of severe nausea, she and Coren could break in and sneak past them.

Nine months ago, she might have waited for her Commander to issue orders. Now? She didn't give a flying feth. Plus, if she was karking up, he wouldn't hesitate to tell her. Using telekinesis, Chevu grunted as she got a psychic hold on one of the lobby doors and jimmied it open.

She looked back at Coren as if to say, "Shall we?"

[member="Coren Starchaser"]

He followed after his student and nodded. Right, maybe her being gone was a good thing. Still, that kiss was in his head, and that definitely complicated everything. Coren shook his head, trying to will the thought away. Having gotten back to his roots, he was able to throw himself into the fight, and taking some small units, like the Tiburons out into the war zone, it was a cleansing experience.

Brought him back to his roots, reminded him where his skills lie. Still, he didn’t take his lightsaber training, preferring to work with small arms, light repeaters and some knife fighting, become a real spook in the field. Or at least, be able to dispatch an enemy he teleported next to, without drawing attention.

He could feel her use her power and shook his head. Effective, mostly non-lethal, Coren approved. He knew the Order would as well. Approaching the door, he looked at it, and pulled the handle.

Locked.

Before he could pop himself over the doors and unlock them, well, that was when Chevu worked it open with the Force. Coren nodded.

That was one way to set off a silent alarm.

"Stick close." The pilot said, the alarm unknown to him.

Hypori.

The ArmaTech Corporate City on the world was stuck off on its own and without the niceties of the government operated ones. Cost effective was the primary word for the set up. Almost seventy percent of wages earned their went straight back into the company. That's not to say that the workers were mistreated or under paid. Only that everything there was ArmaTech or provided by ArmaTech. Housing, employment, schools, hospitals, food, water, power. If you worked there you were an ArmaTech employee. That is why I did not work there or live there. Instead, when forced to stay dirtside I stayed in one of the other cities, in a hotel penthouse. Always live in luxury when possible.

"Sir, there was a security breech at the Innote Q building."

"So?" I asked the woman standing holding a data pad in the doorway.

"Just an update sir. Nothing really important. They have security over there I am sure."

Blasted woman. She knew I loathed sitting around doing nothing. "I will go have a look at it. Get me an airspeeder and I will go supervise all ominous like." She nodded and walked out of the door as I started pulling on my armor, just about the only thing I went out in public in. A moment later an airspeeder pulled up to the balcony and opened so that I could climb aboard. Dumping the bag containing my helmet, cuirass, pauldrons and vambraces into it, I waved at the driver. "Innote Q building. Go."

Inside the building, a black armored woman, Imperial by the looks, had already infiltrated the building. She had just finished chocking a guard out with her cybernetic hand, crushing the woman's throat within a matter of seconds as she continued forward towards a vault. Normally, Kara would not stoop to such levels as thievery, but she needed the credits to make it back to friendly space. Searching over the woman's corpse, she eventually found an ID card. Whether it would work or not was based on sheer luck, and knowing hers, it would probably trip an alarm (If she already hadn't.) The several missing guards sure will be missed by whoever's in charge, as well.

Readjusting her various weapons, she steps towards the vault, holding the ID card next to the identity scanner.

If this doesn't work, I'm fethed... Security's probably on their way already.

Tmoxin had been visiting a small droid factory on Hypori, one that specialized in the type of medical and science droids she needed for Morpho Pharmaceuticals. Once she was done with her business meeting, she made her way the Armatech Corporate City. She knew that Draco Vereen had a some kind of city center where the workers of his company also lived and had access to healthcare and schools. It was an interesting model, and although she didn't employe enough employees for this type of corporate city, she was still intrigued by it.

The Hapan executive was in armor today, a custom set that Draco and Tmoxin had made together. All too often she would show up to a simple business meeting in corporate attire and regret her decision upon being attacked. Serving on the executive council of the Techno Union, while less dangerous than when she was military officer for the One Sith, still made her a target. The oligarchy of the Union was to be envied. Not to mention the sheer stretch and influence the Union had over the Mid Rim and the lucrative trade route of the Mara Corridor.

She arrived at the Innote Q building and checked in with the security team in the building. They quickly figured out who Tmoxin was and a tidy, well-dressed assistant came out to give her a tour. "Do you know if Draco is planetside today?" she asked, hoping her friend was around.

The girl knew but didn't want to divulge. "Let me check, Miss Temi. While I'm looking into that, I can give you a tour of the facilities."

There were cameras everywhere, and Chevu knew that she wouldn't be able to turn away all of them, but the ones she hit, would give the Innote Q security team a nice detailed view of the wall. What were they looking for exactly? Coren said schematics and data, stuff that could be downloaded to their datapads, but if they could walk out with a set of armor and some new weapons, too, even better. Chevu's huntsuit was sleek and tight-fitting, perfect for doubling as under armor if she found something the right size.

Where did they keep their payload, and how guarded was it? There wasn't much time to deliberate about it. The Malacia would be soon wearing off of the Bothans, and they'd be returning to their posts. They made a beeline to the turbolift and crept inside the open doors.

Chevu's dark brown eyes scanned the names of the floors and landed on the floor marked "R & D." She pressed it and then leaned back against the interior of the lift, studying Coren's steel blue eyes with the barest of smiles on her face.

He'd just have to guess what she was thinking.

Luckily, the door happened to open. Dropping the ID card, she pulls out a miniature datapad from her left gauntlet, activating some illegal software she had obtained from the black market for this operation. Her thin lips pull into a small smile as credits start to drain into her account. It doesn't really matter if security was on its way or not, she would soon be able to ditch the stealth and fight her way out. Not too hard, considering how untrained a security guard is compared to the trained soldiers she normally fights.

There would be work to get done once Coren realized what had happened, and he knew that even if he did blame Chevu, it’d be misplaced. The girl was just working like he did, acting without thinking. Doing, unlike the Jedi. Data was a lot easier to carry than armor, and Coren wasn’t exactly dressed for the part. He was in spacer gear, and was ready to start thieving, not exactly completely looting.

When Chevu lead to the elevator, Coren was quick to follow, the pair were able to work with very little speaking and that was important. When she signaled the floor, and leaned against the wall, the pilot quirked up an eyebrow. “What’s that look for?” They had work to do, time to get that done first. He ran a hand through his hair and shook his head.

Watching the floors scroll by, the Force Master was a bit anxious, and he didn’t know why. Was it really going to be this easy? Were there really that many floors?

Arriving at the tower, I adjusted the last piece of armor before stepping from the airspeeder. "Ugh... this place is a dump." I muttered as I approached the building. A pair of guards were standing with a man in a pressed black military suit with no ranks or insignia. Sliding the helmet down I nodded to them. "What seems to be the issue."

"One of the alarms was tripped a few moments ago, sir." The man in the suit responded, looking through a datapad. Spynet, Intelligence, Innote Q security chief. Hard to say for sure what he was, but it wasn't entirely important. "A couple of guards haven't checked in, most have reported in all clears though."

"What floors haven't checked all clear?" I asked calmly, scanning through the documents on my HUD. I was skimming, he could probably tell me more than I would bother reading.

"Numerous, but the ones with guards unchecked in are these." He pointed to his datapad at a list of floors... odd there were so many.

"Trip the power, and shut it down. I'll go in and have a look see what I can find. Have the guards inside do a bottom up sweep behind me, and make sure they are behind me."

"Yes sir." A nod to the men standing at the door and they opened it for me. "Oh, one last thing. A Tmoxin Temi is looking for you." That was odd news. I wasn't expecting to hear from her so soon again, but I wasn't upset with the news.

"Go ahead and tell her where I am and what I am doing." And with that I entered the building as the lights cut off. Darkness... Through darkness came fear. Through fear came the cold icy chill. The sound of metal sabatons clanking on duracrete floors resounded through the lobby. This was going to be interesting. I pried open one of the Turbolift shafts and peered up into the darkness. Stopped on the twentieth floor, well, alright I can work with that. Bursts from a Jump Pack took me to the nineteenth floor where I had to tear open, yet another turbolift door and find a way to go further up with the sweep.

:: HERO of KORRIBAN ::
Carten had taken a special assignment to pilot an ally of the First Order. When they were not in TIEs the elite pilots were used ferry about VIP political types, or go on missions for the Ren. Daska, Carten's wing mate, had gotten tapped to work with the Ren, Carten was sent to pilot one [member="Tmoxin Temi"]. The former bounty hunter didn't really get that one, but maybe it wouldn't be too bad. He was working at least, and getting an extra stipend from the TU as well.

He had to check his weapon at the entrance, but Carten had been instructed to act as personal guard as well. Sure she had those, but until he was called back to First Order space, wherever that was going to be, the pilot was still a soldier and able to do more than fly a ship. His dress was simple, he wore a pilot's uniform signifying his allegiance. It was good to see Tmoxin in battle armor. The woman was prepared to fight. From what he understood she had been a soldier before a businesswoman. Carten respected that.

Once the weapons were cleared, Carten passed through without any trouble. He walked directly behind Tmoxin, covering her six. Nothing would happen to her while he was on the job. He would not fail like he had done with his wife and daughter. Everything always came back to them somehow, and even this. Hopefully he could keep his drinking to himself. Tmoxin likely didn't want a drunk as her pilot.

Darkness. Her helmet, as is standard issue with any full military helmet, comes with night vision. But that also meant they were on their way... No matter, she would just wait in the shadows, ambush them, then move along. Heading to a nearby desk, which also had a dead security guard behind it (Maybe she should have hidden all the bodies...), and charges her E-11, her VISR, Visual Intelligence System, Reconnaissance enhancing her night vision and highlighting all objects with color-coded edges, green for friendlies, yellow for inanimate/deceased/unknown, and red for hostiles. Her HUD was just her compass, weapon ammunition count and projectile trajectory, and armor status systems.

Poking her head over the cover, she can see the first few guards coming in, seemingly oblivious to her. Good, that meant that her armor was invisible to them, as it was painted the same color as the darkness. Pulling out a thermal detonator and priming it, she tosses it at the group, noting with satisfaction that, although a few cried out in warning/shock, about three of them were killed by the ensuing detonation. Two others were too heavily wounded to fight, and the rest were either unscathed or walking wounded able to fight. After the detonation, she pokes out of cover to fire at the enemy soldiers, dropping two more before the rest dive to cover and return fire, forcing her back down when a shot splashes onto her helmet. Thankfully, the durasteel fiber-weave armor did its job at protecting her.

"What's that look for?" he asked. She grinned and averted her gaze. Liked to keep him guessing. The turbolift stopped at their floor and hissed open to a long corridor. Chevu pulled her blaster and kept it at the ready, peeking out from the cover of the turbolift to make sure the hallway was empty. The building's main lights had been killed, presumably by security, so the corridor was barely lit by the dim emergency lights.

"All clear," she whispered, emerging from the lift.

They stole through the corridor until they came to an open room that had the looks of a design lab, an enormous chamber where new technologies were built and tested. Once she'd turned every Holocam she could see, she heard the sound of footfalls on the durasteel floor. There was a wandering security guard doing his rounds inside. With a wave of her hand, Chevu assailed him with a Jedi Mind Trick that made the human guard walk to the corner of the room and turn towards the wall, standing as still as a statue, a temporary time out.

"I put him in the corner for thirty minutes," Chevu said. "That should be plenty of time for us to get what we need."

With her Datapad out, she began to look for schematics or anything else worth stealing.

With the silent alarm wailing away, there might have been security guards after them, but fortunately for the two thieves, most of the Innote Q guards were too tied up with [member="ST-2387 'Patriot'"] to notice the additional threats.

Now he was dealing with an impossible student, for certain. He shook his head as she looked away. Never was he going to get what was going in her head straight, was he? He was fairly okay with that, after all. Understanding what brought her to sleep with the Wrath was something else. They got to the floor and he nodded. Apparently Chevu was taking point.
It wasn’t that Coren was a tank, not a damage sponge, no, but he was what would be known as a ‘kite,’ a higher dexterity score, agile and a dodge tank. Get people firing at him but with his movement ability, probably not laying too many shots on him. That was, until it came to combat. “Gave us a time limit? Shoulda just said ‘when you hear us leave, you’ll forget us and you can turn around.’ But I’m not the one frakking with minds.” He smirked and shook his head.

Yeah, nothing like a grind against them.

He made his way to the terminal and started to access the files, he plugged in his datapad, which linked to the ShortFin, and as result, to Lexi. She was currently barraging the firewall with a brute force and that allowed Coren to access parts of the data as it came available. “Where are you, you bastard.” He muttered.

He’d seen one Obsidian Order member before, his own nephew, and the armor that he had worn was something interesting. Modular and customizable. Coren and the Alliance could use that right about now.

"Ms Temi, a pilot is here for you," said the assistant before the tour was about to begin. Right, the First Order had offered one of their TIE pilots to replace her personal captain in an effort to keep her more secure. She whirled around to see the man approaching. Tmoxin expected him to be in the ubiquitous white stormtrooper armor, but he was in a pilot's uniform. She noticed the long scar that originated at his right eye and snaked up his forehead.

"Lt. Flaa, hello. I was just about to take a tour of the building-"

But suddenly the lights went off in the lobby, cutting her sentence short. A backup generator whirred into action, humming quietly in the background, but only the exit signs were illuminated. Everything else was dark. Without thinking the Hapan executive, activated a small hand torch with which to see.

"What's going on?" she asked.

"There is a silent alarm going off in the building, and Commander Vereen is also on the scene."

"Well I don't see why this should stop our tour especially since Lt. Flaa and myself are properly outfitted to investigate a security breach. But my dear, you should stay here."

With a call signal to move forward, she motioned to the pilot to follow her into a stairwell so they could investigate what was going on. Tmoxin felt a surge of adrenaline and a little bit of anticipation over having a Lieutenant by her side again. Lt. Ulysses, her long time number two, was back on Kamino keeping a watch on her business operations. Hopefully Flaa would prove to be as devoted.

Emergency lights flickered over head as I walked through another hallway. I could feel a few guards and three others that were in the building. One below me, two above. Best to focus on the two above. They seemed, more... fun to play with. I started muttering a little incantation I had learned a while back from a friend. That old Mandalorian was fun. I had been distraught then, now I was just slipping into straight crazy. Fun though. The air shimmered and the power of the Dark Side filled the air, crackling with energy as I muttered the words. Finally as I finished the incantation the air burst with thick black smoke and evil cackling. "Demon... above me there are two beings that should not be here. Go and play with them." The smoke rippled and as if in response and flowed through a vent.

I turned a corner and started up the stairs. I sought the minds of the two I could sense. They were faint and I found the weaker of the two first. A female... <I see you> the words would echo around her mind. Paranoia, fear, it was my friend. It was hunting time and I had found some prey. Good for me, not so good for her. The other one I would get to in a moment.

The thick black smoke flowed from the vent and into a hallway on the same floor as the two beings. Its sole purpose to inflict fear and demonstrate the power of the Dark Side to those that dared oppose it.

The woman's mind... It I wanted to play with. <Behind you!> a small girl's voice called in the space between her ears. <No, No, NO> came the cries of a child. Three voices in unison spoke out now, from all around her, gutteral growls resounded from their otherwise childish voices. <When I lay me down to sleep...I pray to him my soul to keep.>
