Gone Fishing (Red Raven Heist)

Gone Fishing

Moncalcity.jpg

The underwater shipyards of Mon Calamari were awe inspiring, massive underwater facilities that built some of the finest ships this galaxy has known since the galactic rebellion. Ships like the Viscount - class Star Defender prototype. A very up to date version of the classic ship that won the day against the old galactic empire. So yes it was safe to assume ships like these were wanted in the galactic community, but here's where the problem came in. Since the republic had left Mon Cala during the great rapture, the greedy fish people wanted to keep their ships to themselves. This was just not acceptable.

Luckily the Red Ravens had a very good plan in mind to acquire one of these ships, say please. And by please the Red Ravens meant give us the ship or my gun is going to blow the personality out the back of your head. All and all it was pretty solid request, and while the ravens weren't about to drop a fleet on a world with shipyards and plenty of ships to defend it. The gain simply wouldn't justify the costs of victory. So a very simple and straight forward plan was devised to liberate the ship from the depths of the ocean. And so we begin

https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&persist_app=1&v=JTSaUYSyvqI

"Alright guys it's pretty simple, team one is going to raise hell in the ship yards facilities five clicks away from the package. Team two is going to sneak aboard and take the ship while the guard is down. Now these are just people and I would prefer if we didn't have to kill them, but if they fire on you then you do what you have to defend yourself." Patricia was saying over a comm unit to the Red Raven strike teams. They were already underwater piloting submersible vehicles and troop transport under the sonar sensors the locals were using.

Swimming up through a massive black and dark trench both teams diverted in a junction in the underwater canyon headed to their destinations. They were going to heist themselves a badass ship and it would be the job of the year. Everyone would be talking about this from Atrisia to Korriban. Each raven would be equipped with scooba gear and weapons fitted for their current situations. Now all there was to do was attack. Team one and two were outside of their objectives waiting for the word to go, and that would come by the new Chief of Staff Patricia Susan Garter.

"Take it to them boys and girls." She said over the comm channels. It was time to go fishing

OOC

Team one will be assaulting the surface facility on Mon Cala to cause a distraction for team two.

Team two will be taking the star defender.

Water. Clyde was no fan of swimming, he was the only one of his siblings who disliked it. Now he was stuck underwater with a few others around waiting for the green light to hit the surface of the shipyard facility and wreck havoc. The purpose along with the objectives were being at the moment said over the comm channel by the Red Raven's Chief of Staff Patricia Susan Garter. He'd seen her a few times, a blonde lady he would rarely suspect of being part of such a massive criminal organization but being chief of staff meant she was good at what she was doing and she seemed quite enjoying her job, judging by her tone over the comm.

To be tasked with distracting the guard personnel on this heist job he knew he should do his best to injure the guards that would oppose him and the team. Gage did not know about the rest of the team, but he did not like killing yet during a firefight you can never be too sure of where your shot is going to land.

"Aight, m'am." He acknowledged the objectives over the comm channel. " Is there an extraction point for us after you take that fish ship off the water just in case we have our route back with the submersive vehicles cutted off?"

The targetted ship, which if stolen succesfully would bring even more reputation to the Red Ravens all over the galaxy, was five clicks away from where he was currently located, it was not a short distance to cover especially with the security they would engage with and a heist as any heist had to be done fast, the slower it happed the higher the risk was.

"Kark you, I won't do what you tell me."
Objective: Take Star Defender
Location: Submersible Vehicle

Lurcano sighed, as he checked his weapons and armor systems for the third time. He was stuck inside a submersible vehicle with four other men who he was commanding. He wore his set of Red Raven Shot Caller armor underneath his scuba gear so that when they boarded the ship, he could take off the unneeded scuba equipment and be ready for combat. It had been a good idea on paper, but Lurcano was already ready to smash his head against the wall. It was uncomfortably bulky and he was already sweating. His weapons were two WESTAR 34's. He had decided to upgrade from his usual favored weapon, the DL-44 for this occasion. He needed something that would facilitate close quarters combat, and there was no better blaster pistol for the job then the WESTAR. He heard the commander of the whole operation, Patricia, radio in.

Red Dress: "Take it to them boys and girls."

Lurcano Car'dann: "You heard her men. Let's move out."

The submersible vehicle Lurcano was in started to head for the Star Defend. 'Hopefully Squad 1 does its job, otherwise we're going to be in deep shit without a distraction.' He peered out the window but saw nothing; only darkness. Despite his lack of vision, he trusted the sonar system which told him the two other ships were close by and they were all making their way to the target. Finally, they reached the ship. Now was the time for boarding. The three ships deftly maneuvered so that they were side by side with the ship. Then the ship latched on to the Star Defender. As a technician from each of the ships began to cut through the metal so that they could enter the ships, he radioed in to the men that made up Strike Team II.

Lurcano Car'dann: "Alright men, this it. Do not fire unless you are fired upon first. We will head straight for the engines room and attempt to lift off. Stick together, and follow my orders. Ready? Let's do this."

A large shadow cast itself across from Xander, tall and lanky it's fingers looked like knives that could rake against the souls of lesser men. It looked gaunt and humanoid as it stood over ten feet tall in it's shaded form. Growing closer to him it shrunk down until it was a the tiny shadow of the Chief of Staff. The tiny five foot two blonde was wearing a burgundy dress with black dots placed throughout it, she walked past the man and looked at him with the warm smile of a mother despite still being in her twenties. The young woman had a ring on her finger in the hand that finger was a part of was a lever action shotgun with extra ammo plastered on it. On her back was a short barreled sledgehammer assault rifle and on her thighs beneath the dress were two Czerka machine pistols. It was safe to say the woman had come to play. Listening to the man's questions the little blonde answered them quickly.

"We have an evac, team two is going to swing around and grab us once they secure the bridge. So we are leaving the vessels here." Patricia smiled at him then pressed a few buttons on the console.

The submarine moved up and soon popped up topside in front of the shipyards facility. She looked to Xander and cocked a shell Into the angry looking shotgun.

"Well, let's go have fun." Patricia pressed another button and the hatch opened. Crawling out the fresh ocean air hit her and besides her, four separate submersibles exited the water.

Moving up and out of the vehicle her and the rest of squad A hit the docks in a storm of boots and rifles. Placing her feet firmly on the durasteel docks she lifted her shotgun at the first worker and pulled the trigger. A large beanbag rocketed out the end of the barrel and slammed Into the alien's chest to put him on his ass unconscious. Pushing forward on the lever she smiled and exited the spent round to chamber a new one, and by this time plenty of alarms were certainly going off

Tyro'din sat at the back of the transport, hidden by shadows. He was wearing his regular combat outfit, a leather tunic with a belt that had a lot of pouches hanging from it. Two knife sheathes were strapped to his thighs, one each, next to holsters containing his ever present pistols. Slung across his back was a blaster rifle. He currently had a HUD screen covering his one eye which had scrolls of text running across it as he sliced into a nearby ship with his datapad. Resting next to the Bothan was a Brylark Wood walking stick which contained a hidden blade, currently coated in a temporally paralytic poison.

When the transport docked, Tyro'din limped behind Xander and Patricia, datapad in hand. Using it he had sliced into a starfighter and was now directing it to raise havoc on the surrounding area. Every now and then he would pull one of his pistols from where it hung from his belt and fire into a poor guards chest, knocking them unconscious by using stun rounds. Reaching into one of his pouches he withdrew a thermal grenade, primed it and threw it of to the side, destroying some equipment.

"Ready? Let's do this."

Glancing up from his VersaPad, the child-like droid merely offered a cold stare to the Nagai who was fronting the infiltration operation. Shooting second seemed to be setting a bad precedent, not that he would know about such things. The droid's programming covered a variety of topics, from medicine and nursing to the base programming code of binary moisture evaporators, but one limitation of being a Class III droid was that the automaton was subject to a hardwired limitation on actions taken against sapient lifeforms.

It was just as well, other people could do the shooting. The droid's role in this endeavor was to slice the star defender's computers. Which, even with his remote slicer, the droid couldn't detect any autonomous or slaved network systems nearby. Which made sense, considering most military computer design hardened the circuits against external wireless access.

Once the droid got inside the ship, that could be a different story. And, even if it wasn't, the boy had his backpack with a variety of slicerchips, cards, and probes with which to chisel away at the defenses shielding the ship's circuits from someone doing exactly what it was that the Ravens were attempting to do.

Or, rather, what the Ravens were about to do.

Because the contract required that the droid aid in the theft of the ship, and the contract would result in payment of a nice sum of credits when the ship was delivered. And, as much as that sounded nice, the reality was the droid needed that money to try and settle some debts.

Funny, how something as small as a credit could get a person, droid, or just about anyone to compromise themselves.

But, for the moment, the droid was going to focus on compromising the ship's computer so that they could take control and just get the Hutt out of here.

Salt water. Definitely not recommended for droid circuits. So just being in this submersible gave the droid the creeps.

The massive fearsome creature that made the gunslinger put his hand on his heavy blaster pistol that was in its holster still. Shapeshifting into the commander of this operation - the blonde lady Patricia - certainly shocked him but he composed himself and put his hand away from the pistol.
She warmly explained how the escape was going to go through and he nodded with acknowledgement, noticing that she was also armed to the teeth. As she looked at him while putting a round in her shotgun, Clyde began removing his scuba diving equipment which was already annoying him too much to reveal his usual cowboy-like attire.

While he was doing that he felt the presence of another person on the distraction team - a Bothan he had yet not met. A bothan with equipment that would make you think he's an Wild Space planet's warlord.

As the hatch opened and Patricia led the way with a really enthusiastic posture, Clyde stepped in right after her enjoying the fact he was on surface while Tyro'din stepped up behind him ready to complete the objective.

Patricia Susan Garter said:
"Well, let's go have fun."

Immediately after chaos became the god of the area, that was previously ruled by the silence of the guards.

Clyde took his heavy blaster pistol out and began shooting at the guards, aiming at non-vital parts, while finding cover. He noticed that the bothan had sliced into a starfighter and had taken control of it wrecking more havoc than ever, on top of that Clyde saw him throw grenades.

"I will give you that, you know how to party." Gage said to both Tyro'din and Patricia while firing at various guards and ducking under his cover.

Patricia chuckled and the shotgun roared again sending out another beanbag at high speeds. The bag hit another worker in the back sending him staggering to the ground in a loud thud. Patricia click clacked another round and exited the smoking spent one, they had to push forward and gain more ground before the security detail came out to push them back. About thirty armed Red Raven mercenaries pushed the docks with the woman taking place behind various cover handcuffing and restraining aliens that Xander and Tyro had put down with non lethal means. Patricia looked over to Xander and chuckled at his words, a fierce little grin stretching into the corners of her mouth.

"What can I say! We know how to party!" Patricia lifted the pistol grip on the shotgun and opened fired again letting the pistol grip shotgun roar again to hit the chest of a security officer running out of the building ahead of them.

"Here comes the Calvary!" Patricia exited her remaining beanbag rounds then loaded up some semi lethal birdshot into the shotgun.

Patricia could see the security officers coming out of the building taking aim at her, [member="Xander-Clyde Gage"] and [member="Tyro'din"]. A stream of blaster bolts left the barrels of about fifty troopers and it was on. Ducking down behind a nearby crate on the dock Patricia cocked in a new shell then opened fire on a nearby guard hitting an armored guard in the chest sending him staggering back and down.

"Weapons free, lethal force is a go!" Patricia didn't like killing people but she had no intention of dying to a bunch of pissed off fish people.

Tyro'din growled slightly when the ship he had sliced was shot down, he had been having fun. Crouching down, groaning at the strain on his right leg, he began to copy Patrcia and handcuff the many beings either out cold or moaning in pain that littered the docks. "If you really want to see some fun, you should come the next time I choose a full base as my target in an op." He shouted over his shoulder towards Xander, chuckling as he did.

When the blaster fire started to rain down on the group from the newly arrived guards he pushed himself towards a stack of crates so as to gain cover. When the call for lethal force was made he ginned in a feral manner and unstrapped his rifle. Quickly loading it up with 7.62mm explosive slugs, he took aim and fired in front of the majority of the guards. With a crack the floor exploded, shrapnel flying up in front of the guards, acting as a smokescreen as well as taking out a few guards, one with a lethal throat wound. Capitalising on the chance, the Bothan ran towards a crate closer to his enemies, reaching safety a good few seconds before the shots began again.

Daiya checked the 434 Blaster Pistol in her hands again, feeling the weight of the weapon against her gloved hands. Rotating the ammo clip allowed her to unseat the gas chamber from the handle, tipping it forward to see the clear, gas pellet loaded in the chamber. Replacing the pieces, she unscrewed the top of the clip, nodding to herself at its full capacity. Once the blaster was whole once more, she placed it in the lap of her dark wetsuit. She fingered the small leather belt around her thigh, its three slots filled with identical ammo clips. The girl reached down to retrieve one from its secure place inside the belt slot, but a Wookiee hand grabbed her's instead.

"Stop fidgeting, Daiya," came the low growl from inside Tawrro's chest, translated by his sash-mounted device. Unlike the rest of the submersible's occupants, the Wookiee was unclothed but for the sash, relying instead on his shaggy pelt and thick hide to stay the effects of the cold water.

Blue eyes glared in the direction of her companion, but she relaxed her hand regardless. Daiya couldn't help but to be nervous. What were they doing down here, anyway? Getting paid to steal a ship? The Red Ravens certainly didn't do anything small, the girl quipped to herself as she spied the vessel beyond the submersible's portal. A Viscount-class Star Destroyer was no small ship to steal.

The voice of Nagai team commander reverberated throughout the tiny sub's hull, a transmission from the first submersible. All the while, the technician on the side of the boat engaged the vessel's cutting arms, removing the hull in a precise shape around the sub's docking portal. A hard, rubber seal was the only thing that stood between the rough-hewn incision and the frigid waters of Mon Calamari's ocean beyond.

Pulling the thin, elastic band from her wrist, the girl secured her blonde hair behind her head. Silently, she prayed they would have no need for the swim gear they had donned as a precaution. She grimaced as she thought about trying to clean the salt water from her hair. Glancing over to Tawrro, Daiya giggled to herself as she realized her companion had it much, much worse.

Daiya gave the sub's commander a thumbs up, indicating her readiness, and received a nod in return. She replaced her hand around her blaster's grip, loosening and tightening her fingers around the molded handle. Down here, away from anything resembling backup, the weapon was her life. She hefted it from her lap, turning it to check its condition once more, then holstered it against her hip bone. She looked up in time for the submersible's docking port to open and flood the cabin with the warm, humid air of the star destroyer.

Here went nothing!

The firefight continued becoming more fierce every minute with Clyde changing covers often as they got destroyed easily. With a few quicksteps to another cover he aimed at shot a guard straight at his firing arm and another shot in his other arm. He quickly reloaded and looked around the battlefield that engulfed him. Patricia acknolwedged his comments about his party statement and kept wrecking more havoc with her endless arsenal. Xander let a little smile pass through his face as he still found her appearance too in contrast with everything happening right now.

As he stood up to shoot again, he went back immediately to cover as a rain of fire aimed at him from newly arrived much heavier and more armored guards appeared. As their commander gave them a lethal force green, Clyde increased the energy output on his heavy blaster pistol as it should be and fired at an armored guard piercing his armor and stopping him right in his tracks as he was looking for cover.

Tyro'din said:
"If you really want to see some fun, you should come the next time I choose a full base as my target in an op."

Gage turned his eyes from the battlefield towards his bothan 'co-worker' after that comment and smirked.

"Y'all nuts, alright." He said with a funny tone. "You some Bothan off-shot, boy ? I got used to the idea of bothans being sneaky and all that, you're definitely not doing that part."

Clyde had a grin for a moment after that comment and then focused on shooting more of the coming enemies. The smokescreen created by Tyro'din gave him the opportunity to move into another cover even closer to the enemies. As he was reloading, Clyde took out two frag grenades and threw them at separate flanks of the incoming hostile targets causing more chaos to the whole secene.

Patricia click clacked another round into her Outlaw shot gun and jumped her cover letting her skirt fly up giving the boys behind her a good view of some lacy pink underwear. Though in a firefight it was a good idea to be focused on the enemy rather than a pretty girl's underwear. Putting the shotgun up by the pistol grip she held it close to her hip and opened fire spreading buckshot forward and knocking over and killing a security guard. This was going well, hopefully the starship team was getting the job done. With a succession of three shots she dropped more of the alien guards and looked back at her men.

"If you ladies are done jerking each other off!!" Patricia looked back forward and a blaster bolt whizzed past her slamming into a one of her hired hands, killing the Raven.

She quickly lifted her shotgun and fired a buckshot blast with a roar at her troopers killer. After she properly ventilated the man's chest the team of mercenaries were advancing still, at least they were until the station got some of it's defenses up and running. Pulling up from emplacements on the building two heavy turrets popped up from the building and they looked to be turbo laser towers by the looks of them. That was far from good.

impturboturret_ren1.jpg

"GET DOWN!!" Patricia jumped back diving down into cover as one of the turrets from about thirty meters away blew a massive hole in the docks.

"TAKE IT OUT!!" She shouted to the Bothan and the cowboy who looked like he belonged on the set of desperado.

Patricia took out her short barrel sledgehammer assault rifle and clipped her outlaw shotgun against her back. With her back against a heavy crate she began to load a grenade launcher hoping at least one of the boys could do something about those turbolasers

Tmoxin was not going underwater. In fact, the only place she wanted to be near the water was on the Gold Beach of Corellia sipping a Mai Tai but no, she was here on this fishy world with its fishy smell, trying to steal an absolute beauty of a Mon Cal ship. That was the only thing that made this trip worth it as the Hapan Officer loved collecting ships even if it was from afar. She wouldn't be the one to design, build or even pilot the ship but she did know how to contract out an entire fleeing operation.

And it didn't take long to find the Ravens. Just follow the sound of blaster fire and there you are. Tmoxin had brought with her some PMCs from Antecedent and surrounded herself with the seasoned mercenaries as she strode up to the docks. "What's your location, Red Dress?" she asked in her commlink to Patricia Susan Garter. She was readying her team to throw in some frag grenades to further distract the ship guards but wanted to make sure the Ravens didn't take any friendly fire.

Fashionably late was the term that could describe the task force's arrival, but it was one of those things that simply happened. Sending out corporate assets required green lights from higher ups, and that sort or thing was instant one day and delayed the next. Regardless, a small congregation of SDE vessels surged forth from the depths of hyperspace before descending upon the world known as Mon Calamari. This world, aquatic in nature, poised a challenge to today's heist: how the Kark does one fish out an underwater vessel?

Tractor Beams, that's how.

As such, the majority of the corporate force consisted of interdictors that stayed within the upper orbit of the world. A distraction was going on below and all that was required was once again: The green light. Graves was heading the Stargo Defense side of the operation. He figured that towing the ship up and outta the water was a good, solid start...assuming the Ravens didn't just fly the thing out. "Grave Digger to Red Dress, I brought the tow trucks. Give me the signal when you're ready, over."

Patricia crouched her head forward and various blaster fire flew over her head along with more turbo laser bolts. Karking team two better be hurrying their asses off over there or Patricia was about to swim down there and put a foot so far up their collective asses that they would taste the sea. But she was a smooth operator, years of being a republic field agent and Sith killer had sharpened her skills in combat. Popping open the tube to her grenade launcher she loaded up a forty millimeter grenade into it and closed the tube with a click. But she had to respond to [member="Tmoxin Temi"] before doing anything.

"Butterfly this is Red Dress I read you, break. We are at the docks, can't miss us giant gun towers and explosions!" Patricia sent directions to her friends HUD before getting down to business.

"FORTY MIKE MIKE!! FORTY MIKE MIKE!! TANGO LIMA ONE!!" Patricia yelled out to her men and soon she popped out of cover with four other mercs in other various positions.

Focusing on the first Turbolaser turret there was a loud POOMF from the grenade launchers and the deadly explosives soared through the air for a second or two before exploding the first turbo laser into scrap. The second laser shifted right and fired exploding her squad of sappers. Patricia banged her fist in frustration, they had to get both those turrets offline and now. But thankfully the corporate liaison to Stargo showed up in orbit and they had another way to get out of there. She wasn't about to leave any men behind though. [member="Samuel Graves"]

"Grave Digger this is Red Dress, move into position. We have men onboard the package but I'd like the fleet in position to evac the ship and crews if things go south! Over!" The sounds of battle were very much apparent in the background as she sent the message to Samuel

The sounds of battle was what first echoed across the Bridge. Then came the urgent voice of someone Graves was becoming somewhat accustomed to working with. "Red Dress" had found herself in a spot of trouble once more it seemed, and Samuel was going to help her out. "Red Dress, this is Grave Digger. I'm dispatching dropships to the surface now. If things go south, tell the men to hit the escape pods...and to wreck the Kark outta the life support systems on the way out. I'll recover them. Tractor Beams are primed. Over."

With that response uttered, Graves began to make good on his message. A single nod to the helmsman heralded a chorus of orders being barked upon the Bridge. These were then relayed to the accompanying vessels, whom all dispatched their dropships whilst readying their tractor beams. It was only a matter of time before they were called upon to retrieve the vessel, in one form or another. However, they wouldn't jump the gun.[/color]

"GO, GO, GO!"

The team spilled forth form the submersibles into an unlit room that looked devoid of life, but otherwise might have held. The air was dank and warm, and beneath her tight-fitting wetsuit, the Human girl began to perspire. Glowrods clicked into life, illuminating the empty space with eerie, green-blue light, their edges chased by shadows as the strike team milled about the room. Daiya glanced around, trying to suppress the shudder that rose inside her spine at the haunting visage outlined by the light.

Instructions were meted out by group, and Daiya moved with her leader to a position near the room's doors. On the signal, she filed out, weapon held high. The corner revealed nothing in particular, but the light allowed the team to turn their glowrods off. Deciding to take two different paths to the ship's bridge, the girl followed as her squad took the opposite corridor from the infiltration's leader and his men.

It was around the next bend that Daiya, the Wookiee Tawrrowaldr, the afro-haired slicer and the rest of the squad encountered their first bit of resistance....who promptly ran away at the sight of armed mercenaries.

Daiya would have loved nothing but to give in to the unending laughter that threatened to overcome her. She put a hand to her mouth to stifle the giddiness, but her convulsing stomach forced a few chuckles past her lips in sheer defiance. The girl glanced to her teammates, hoping they were sharing in her humorous observation, but the dark-toned boy was as stoic as her Wookiee guardian. Spoilsports, she thought dourly.

Their next encounter didn't go quite as swimmingly. Word must have gotten around about them. She heard the yelp of surprise as the first squadmate rounded the corner and fell to the ground by way of a thick, oversized hydrospanner. The Mon Calamari engineer weilding it looked no more out of place here than he would have on the battlefields of some high pitched battle.

This was no longer a laughing matter.

Instinct took over. In a flash, the MerrSonn-made blaster was leveled at the fishy defender, and his eyes widened as he registered the threat to his life. Daiya did not see the wide, aquatic eyes, but instead a pair of calm, brown eyes, taunting her. The blaster bolt surprised her, and as she stared at the smoking hole it made in the Calamari's chest, the girl remembered that this was not who she thought it was.

She had left him back on Antecedent.

But if the horror registered to anyone else, they didn't show it. With congratulations from their squad leader, the party moved on. Daiya moved with them, willing her heart to settle as she took big gulps of air. She needed her wits in the present if she wasn't going to wind up like the unconscious Ravens' member they had left behind on the deck floor.

"Kark you, I won't do what you tell me."
Objective: Take Star Defender
Location: Star Defender Halls

The technician finished cutting through the hull of the Star Defender, and he nodded to Lurcnao. He would patch up the small breach once they entered; so they would have to take the ship, or die trying. He rushed out into the Star Defender, and turned to see the rest of his men filing out as well. 15 in all. They would have to be near perfect if they wanted to take the Star Defender. He drew his two WESTAR 34's, and checked to see if his knife was in its sheath. Then, he radioed in to the Strike Team.

Lurcano Car'dann: "Alright men, be sure to follow your squad leader. We're heading for the bridge now so that we can take control of the ship. Squad 2 will accompany us. Squad 3 will head to the engines room. [member="BB-4001A"] will make sure the engines are operational so we can get the hell out of here. Dispatch anyone who gets in your way that shows signs of hostile intent. Once you get to the engine room, secure it, and make sure no tampers with them so that everything is fully operational when we need to lift off the ground. Work quickly. The sooner we get this chit done, the sooner we can be back on Nar Shaddaa, whoring and drinking ourselves to an early death."

His final comment was met with cheers, albeit quiet ones. They moved down the halls together, before splitting up. Each of the squad leaders had been equipped with a map of the Star Defender so that they could navigate the ship and get to their destination as fast as possible with the least amount of hiccups. Lurcanos squad and squad 2 moved quickly through the ship. Everything seemed to be going straight till they ran into two Mon Calamari who were evidently members of the crew Lurcano raised his guns and shouted,

Lurcano Car'dann: "Stop or I shoot!"

Despite his warning, the two Mon Calamari turned and raced off. He cursed and one of his men fired off a shot but it was already to late. Lurcano cursed his stupidty, before radioing in to all the squads.

Lurcano Car'dann: "Assume all Mon Calamari are hostile now. Shoot to kill, I repeat shoot to kill."

As Lurcano and his men moved to round the corner, he wondered if his orders of shooting to kill were a bit premature. That was, until he rounded the corner and one of the men from squad 2 ate a face full of blaster fire. Lurcano raised his weapons, and a fire fight ensued. Two Mon Calamari were killed, and the third turned tail and ran. Alarms began to ring all around the ship. Lurcano and his squads continued to move forward; almost reaching the bridge. They prepared for whatever opposition they might face.

"Grave Digger this is a Red Dress, acknowledged. Our crew should have it up in the air soon, thanks for the back up we need it!" A blaster bolt hissed next to the comm link and a torrent of curse words were heard on the other end of the mic, most of them being about a dead guy who tried to shoot her.

After she had murdered a Mon Cal guard Patricia kept her head behind cover and began to analyze the situation. One more turbo laser left on this side of the facility, incoming Stargo reinforcements would probably be there in less than five minutes. But five minutes in a firefight with a turbolaser that dropship might as well of been on the moon. Popping out her current energy chip she put another into the feed tray and slapped the blaster closed letting it charge up with a calming hum of power. Sliding open the breach for the grenade launcher she slid out the spent plastic and metal shell for the grenade. Placing a fresh one in the breach she cocked it closed and was ready to rock and roll again.

"Hold on reinforcements are inbound!" Patricia placed the rifle in her shoulder and fired a few three round bursts into the advancing Mon Cala guard, dropping several of them dead.

After the alarms began, resistance grew heavier. No longer were shipyard workers armed merely with hefty wrenches, and members of squad number three might have wistfully recalled how well that encounter had gone for them.

On one knee, the girl tightened her grip around her heavy blaster, resting her elbow on the raised knee to keep it up against the gun's substantial weight. She tracked a particularly crafty Quarren fellow whose ropey figure had already evaded the arms and armament of her Wookiee companion. When Tawrro swept left, the Quarren went right; down, he popped up; forward, the squid-like worker jumped back. She almost grinned as his cleverness, even for a strategic mind, in one-on-one combat Tawrro was still more of a direct fighter.

She fired and the shot went wild. Daiya pressed her teeth together, a low growl issuing from her throat in frustration. How hard could it be to nab one little fish?

The movements became so repetitive that she found they almost came automatically, her hand moved on its own as if guided by another, her blaster pointed to the spot where the Quarren was just about to be. Each time, Tawrro stepped into her path just a bit too soon, not enough time for her to shoot his opponent. But once, when the Wookiee was just a tiny bit too slow...

PSHEW!

Daiya leaned forward to blow imaginary smoke from the end of her blaster barrel, a grin spreading across her face as she looked up at her companion, satisfied. Suddenly, she felt the singe of heat behind her, followed quickly by the sound of a blaster bolt hitting the wall at the spot where her head had just been. The girl's heart skipped a beat as she turned too late...

...to see the blaster-wielding Mon Calamari fall, a large, smoking hole in its chest. She followed the path back to the heavy carbine back in Tawrro's arms once more. The Wookiee, however, did not pantomime at his sudden achievement. Instead, he shared a look with her, his black eyes staring into hers with a single message.

"I will!" the girl whined in response to the silent chiding. She hated Tawrro's paranoid worrying. No harm had come to her, after all, and her own shots were true. She had come through worse firefights than this and survived, after all. She would pull through this.

The squad moved on further into the ship, towards the Star Destroyer's engine room.
