Golbah City Shuffle

Golbah City, the capital of Geonosis. Amid the arid wastes of the red planet stood the large city. A shuttle came in to landing on a landing pad, welcomed as an ally as it carried [member="John Locke"]. An attack of some kind was imminent, and he had come with a warning. What was coming, what they wanted was unknown to all except him. And he may be the only chance, or perhaps there was something else he could do aid.

But it was too late to warn, as a security detail had gone missing elsewhere in the city. It was enough to set off some alarms, at the very least. There were many locations of interest around where they last disappeared.

A figure had been rumored to be running through the streets, within the darkness. A skeletal figure, with glowing eyes and a cloak over their form. Their skin described to be glinting in the light when it passed through any light sources. Stalking very close to some of these locations, but what they wanted was yet to be discovered. However, not everything was as it seemed here...something was amiss.

The figure stood atop a roof, looking over the landscape. It's presence was spotted by a civilian, whom called it in. The figure did not know yet, that it's location was blown.

OOC: This thread will have plenty of twists and turns. Good luck hunting, and have fun! This thread will run for up to five rounds to find C-02.

Somewhere there was an unwritten rule that any shuttle which landed on a planet had to make that odd popping, hissing noise as it opened, the doorway swinging down towards the ground as the shadowy shape of a man was revealed behind it, taking a step forward to tap his hand against the frame of the doorway before he exited the shuttle in an almost ritualistic move. Friends were in danger, so where else would the admiral be than here to help out, he'd visited Golbah city before, no record would show it but the Confederacy had even gifted him an apartment to stay in while he was here.

A social call this was not however, the man had come with a warning of an impending attack, although judging by the radio transmissions he'd picked up on his way down to the surface he might have been too late. If the attack had started, well perhaps the least he could do was help now he was here. "OK, lets get down to it then." The big trick...would be finding his way to a command centre.

Tarix was looking over the last location the security team was seen wandering around the location. "There should be something here. Blaster fire, bits of people, bits of anything." But there wasn't anything anywhere here. Like the patrol didn't make it to this location. It was as if someone had made it look like the guards had just disappeared. Tarix was upset to say the least as he walked out and saw a ship landing.

He would turn to his Mistress the one teaching him the force. "It's odd such a small ship is landing." As a figure walked out he would turn to look at her. "And who is that? It's the only figure who has left that ship so he must be important." Tarix would look over again pondering a few things. "Well whoever it is I will leave it to you and check out the mysterious figure people have spotted nearby perhaps we can find out about the skeletal figure the people around here keep talking about." He would then wander off to find out more.

Arriving at the figure he would clamber up and get close to the figure. "Excuse me but could you explain to me why you are on this roof right at this moment?" He would wait to see what the figure would respond with as he had his blades still placed on his back but they were ready in case of anything.

Scherezade loathed chases in Golbah City. While it was true that this was the planet she spent most of her time on in between the missions, she was still not a fan of the arid temperate, hated the way the air felt as it moved through her lungs. There was a reason that she was most often on her ship or in the Citadel, with only her pre-dawn jogs being something she enjoyed just before the heat began to climb once more.

Her apprentice, [member="Tarix Talso"], had been speaking about splitting up or something. Scherezade lofted a brow. "Look at you, big cat giving orders," she teased him. It hadn't been too long since they'd met each other in a prison cell and he had asked to become her apprentice. Scherezade wasn't entirely sure she was doing much of a good job at it but since he was properly fed and was still alive, she figured she wasn't a complete and total failure in that regard.

Still, she was not about to argue. A chase meant she'd get to do something, and diplomacy wasn't her strongest suit either way. Hopping on her Darling, she sped through the city, ignoring traffic with ease as the gorgeous thing came with the ability to actually jump.

Within moments, she was by the building, and looked up.

There was definitely someone up there, but the building was too tall for her to know if that was their super mysterious skeletal person or someone else.

There were so many ways one could make an epic scale onto a building. For instance, she could opt to check if her speeder could ride vertically. Another option was to lift herself through the air via the Force and make it look like she was flying. She could also find a Mandalorian to kill so she could steal their jet pack and get up there. So yeah, lots of ways.

So Scherezade marched right into the building and took the elevator to the roof.

The skeletal figure watched over, like a silent guardian...only they were far from being a guardian. They were watching where [member="John Locke"] had come in for landing. A communications center. Watching as if waiting, for the moment to strike. It tapped it's slender fingers upon the knee, of it's leg resting atop a ledge. It heard something approach, speaking to it. Merely shifting it's own gaze over it's shoulder, to the others. It said nothing in response. Simply regarding them in silence.

Simply straightening up to turn, seeing there were two there before it. So, it had been found. Tipping it's head under the cloak. Two glowing orbs seen from under the cloth. "You can't stop this..." Was all it said, before stepping onto the ledge...then stepping back.

Taking a vibroblade from under the cloth, it stabbed the blade into the wall to aid in a less than graceful descent. Pushing off to land on the ground. Before looking up at them. It seemed to stare up for some time. Then began to make it's way, towards it's target. It was odd how it did not try to stay out of sight...

Tarix would be a little confused by what she meant by him giving orders. He was only offering a suggestion but in any case he looked at the skeletal figure while standing next to it when something on the roof pinged and he saw as the elevator doors opened with his mistress appearing. He was about to ask why she had decided to follow what he had done when the figure said something about not stopping it then walked off the edge.

"What the feth?" As he looked over the side seeing the figure using a vibroblade to slow their descent down the side of the building. Looking out at where the figure had he took a guess at who it was looking at being whoever was heading towards the communication centre. What are the chances all these are linked he thought to himself. Never mind he had to catch up. Using the replusor pack on his back he descended after the creature.

Possibly a droid due to the glowing eyes and skeletal figure. He would begin springing too try and catch whatever it was before it got away. However he figured the thing would try avoiding him and try using alley ways but instead ran along the ground as if it wanted to be caught for some reason. Tarix couldn't figure why still running after it.

It turned out that sometimes public transport was a cheap and relatively anonymous way to work your way through a city, no-one had accosted the dark-haired man as he left the space port, had hailed a taxi and let it take him into the city. It was only when he had arrived at his target that he noticed the increased security around him, the soldiers checking identities and credentials before allowing anyone through. It wasn't that he was worried about it, he knew that his credentials would easily get him into the building, after all as an ally and a contractor it would be rather unusual for them not to allow him access. Even in the middle of what seemed like a security operation, it was perhaps safer for them to gather the civilians inside than let them run around outside and get caught up in it.

All in all, getting in had been the easy part, the man's hands slipping into his pockets as he vanished into the crowd, threading his way through the press of bodies that swarmed this way and that way as people focused on their work. It was like any other building the galaxy over, but that made his job easier as he slipped through a security floor, heading towards the lower floors and the secure rooms below nodding at the guards who checked his credentials as he passed. It wouldn't be long now.

Scherezade walked casually onto the roof of the building as soon as the elevator dinged and the doors opened for her. There was nothing on edge as she walked towards the figure. If anyone looked through their windows, it would've looked like she was walking towards a friendly meeting, and the smile etched upon her face probably would have supported such thoughts.

She inhaled deeply, trying to get a read on who the person was. But there was no smell, no scent that her Blood Hound abilities could pick. Scherezade frowned. A droid? A sentient droid? She had no way of knowing.

As he let himself drop off the roof of the building, there was nothing she could do but walk to the far end of it and look. She was there on time to see him slow his descension to the ground with his blade, and she sighed.

Leaping down herself, Scherezade used the Force to slow her own descent down to the ground, bringing it almost to a halt as she was almost on the ground, landing perfectly on both feet. It took less time than what her new enemy had needed, and soon enough she was simply walking by his side, still appearing all casual-like.

"You realize I'm going to have to deactivate you if you keep this up," she asked him with a shrug, "what are you doing here anyway?"
