DESCRIPTION
The Gloves of the Enchantress were a pair of black, fingerless opera gloves that were created by aspiring Sith alchemist Micah tol Powl as a gift. Woven out of an alchemized shell spider silk, these lightweight gloves were a lightweight example of spider silk armor. The gloves were imbued with a Dark Side enchantment that aided the use of Force Drain-based abilities. The gloves, themselves, did not grant this ability, and so were intended to be used by a trained Force User. While offering formidable advantages for a lightweight article, the gloves had a number of drawbacks, to include the ease of the material to tear or run even with everyday wear and use.

STRENGTHS

• Spider Silk Armor. Very effective at deflecting vibroblades and blaster fire.
• Force Imbued.
  • Resistant to lightsaber strikes.
  • Aids Force Drain-based abilities. Does not teach or give the ability to use Force Drain abilities, but will enable or aid in the use of those abilities for a trained Force User. [Note: Nothing in this sub is intended to suggest an effect on another PC. Whether this item and/or related Force Power has an effect on another PC is for the writer of that PC to determine.]

WEAKNESSES

• No effect to non-blaster ranged weapons (Paddle beam, slugs, etc).
• Requires a connection to the Force for magical enhancement to function.
• Silk. Easily torn or damaged by any kinetic means, including unarmed. Not insulating against electricity/ion-based attacks. No protection against sonics.
• Dark Side Artifact. Vulnerable to Force Light.
• Fingerless Gloves. No protection for exposed fingers.
