Ghost Division

Status
Not open for further replies.
Name : Ghost Division

Intent : To provide the First Order with a strong and reliable Intelligence component and covert missions division.

Affiliation : The First Order, though non First Order members are allowed and often encouraged to join

Availability : Unique

Quality : B . The Ghost Division is made up of selected talent, not just from the First Order, but from all over the galaxy, and from species of every kind. Each of these individuals is a specialist in at least two non combat disciplines ( Communications, Medicine, Xenobiology, etc.. ) and is either already a seasoned combatant, or a natural talent that the Legion can train into a deadly machine.

Type: This Unit is mainly an Intelligence and Covert Operations Unit.

Strength : Ghost Division is comprised of 100 members, all divided into 5 person teams.

Description : The Ghost Division was created when an exiled Chiss operative named Zar'aruso'inrokini was invited into the First Order and placed into their Ubiqutorate. Having seen that it was a component that was pretty much non existent, he decided to slowly and carefully build that component up, something that wasnt an ordinary Intelligence Division, but something far more useful and practical. That is when the idea clicked into his head. Throughout galactic history, and the Chiss culture he grew up in, Zar'aruso'inrokini realized was that those who did not adapt or adopt new ideas, would fall regardless of their strength or numbers. The Chiss incorporated the ideas of outsiders but never included them even slightly, which he viewed as a mistake. It was impractical to dismiss other species and people of different backgrounds, and he would not make this mistake. The idea of the Ghost Division was set in motion. He would recruit anyone, regardless of species or background, because everything and everyone was useful in some way in the game of Intelligence operations. He looked for and recruited scientists, seasoned sliciers, former soldiers and even seasoned criminals into the ranks of the Ghost Division. Anywhere he went, if there was an exile or any kind of person with the talent he needed, he would get them into the Legion, the promise of good pay, anonymity and most importantly, immunity from prosecution for any acts done during cover missions, as long as they obeyed, was appealing to a good amount of people. Ghost Division has grown to 100 individuals now, and with luck, it will only continue to grow bigger.

Love me some Sabaton.

Alright, so we do have a few issues that need to be addressed.

You can shorten that to Intelligence and Covert Operations.

First and foremost, A quality units require development. Units with more than 100 members require extensive development. You've got a few options moving forward.
  • 300 A quality troops would require a dev thread so long it wouldn't be worth the time to deal with. You can drop the number to 100 and get away with a 30 post development thread. Long story short, find someone else with a similar unit and have a small battle with them. You're basically trying to give them the experience needed to warrant such a high rating.
  • Keep the total number, but drop the quality down to B. You'll still have to do the 30 post dev thread, but you'll be able to keep the current table of organization. It should also be noted that B quality units can be upgraded to A quality units over time. Keep throwing them into battle and build up experience, and after a while you can apply to have them upgraded.
  • Drop the quality down to B, drop the total number down to 100, and get away with a 15 post dev thread. You can do this one by yourself, or with another writer. Again, if you get enough experience, you can upgrade them in the future.
  • Drop the quality down to C, no dev thread required. While you can upgrade them, it's going to take a lot of work.

Whatever you choose to do with that, you'll have to fill out the links portion under the description.

Links: (Please link all relevant threads here. This can include tech submissions, development threads or previous RP usage.)
Any equipment, weapons, or vehicles they use will have to be listed under here, and linked to either the appropriate Wookieepedia article or Factory submission. If, for instance, you plan on arming them with E-11 blaster rifles, you'd look up the article on Wookiee and provide the link under this section.

Anyway, thanks for the submission, and I look forward to working with you to get this thing approved.

The weapons and stuff might be a bit of an issue..since the whole point of the group is to be non standard..specific weapons would be given for specific tasks, other than that, the people would use what they are most familiar with. I have also reduced their number and their rating per as you advised.

That'll work for that. You'll just need a 15 post development thread, which shouldn't take long.

As far as the weapons go, if you're using nonstandard stuff, list a few of the things they might commonly use to establish a baseline.

Also, not submission related but something that might help you out on the site, when you post to someone, hit the @mention button under their profile pic to tag them. I set my stuff up so I'm automatically notified when someone posts to a thread I'm following, but a lot of folks don't want to be bothered with all that mess.

Usually in the Star Wars: Private Role-Playing section. Just start a thread and start posting. It can be training, or a skirmish against enemies you made up or another writer if you can find one that wants to play along. The goal is to demonstrate how your guys are badass enough to deserve the B-ranking. The most important thing to remember, however, is to have fun. Seriously. A boring dev thread is a slog to get through and unpleasant to read. Have fun with it, maybe blow some stuff up or do some secret squirrel spy stuff, and you should be good to go.

Notice: a deadline of January 10th will be imposed on all current standing Codex subs for the official Codex reopening. All subs must be completed to the point of pending secondary approval by then or risk denial/archival.

You have 15 days before the deadline. That's two weeks and a day. Use your time wisely.
