Uluru, the great outback. That is where George was born. Originally called Hokuikekai Matoskah-Maui, he was upon his entry into the School System renamed George Maui. He grew fond of the name over the years (especially during his time as a Shock Trooper) and have taken it to heart. The early years of his life can easily be summed up by memories of beaches, swimming, surfing, hiking and strict schooling. In his late teens he joined the Royal Army. His years as a marine proved to be some of the toughest of his life and after multiple tours throughout the Kingdom, he was after a grisly battle at Cochise inserted into Shock Trooper training.
He fit well into the Shock Trooper units, their operational tactics allowing him more independant thinking. He demonstrated excellent ability for the job and together with the rest of Avalanche Squadron went on to serve for many years. By the time of the uprising of the Commonwealth his unit was one of the most respected ones and were the first Shock Trooper units to be inserted into the combat zones to battle the insurrectionists. He and his squadron achieved small victories, but at heavy costs, losing many men to the onslaught of the new regime. By the surrender of the Alexandrian Military and in turn all other Shock Trooper units, Avalanche Squadron had sustained heavy casualties. Determined to not back down, the Squadron joined the last forces loyal to the crown and fled to the outskirts of the system, being an integral part to some of the early efforts the loyalist made against the Commonwealth.
Years later, George have given up on the war, primarily spending his time on managing his freighter company and enjoying life. With the Commonwealth opening the borders of the Cadi system, his lust for adventure have grown stronger than ever..

- While George is of somewhat average height, he makes up for it in his burly and broad shouldered build, making him a strong man even in his old age. It is obvious to any that would regard him, that he have had a life filled with intense and hard physical labor, though his gaze does not reflect the terrors he have been through and remains kind and grandfatherly. His life experiences are not only apparent from the sight of his large arms and calloused hands, but also his weathered complexion. Mostly for cultural reasons he rarely cuts his hair, except for the sides of his head which he shaves regularly. He arranges the uncut salt water dried locks in braids and knots ontop of his head instead. A mighty beard adorns his face, growing unkept adorned by decorations such as beads. His clothes -always of the tough and practical kind- is worn and stained by dust, wind and weather. He favors durable leather clothes, though mainly for practical reasons, still having respect for well-tailored uniforms.

- Despite his brutish looks, George is a man that after his departure from the military have taken up contemplating on the deeper aspects of life. He greatly appreciates the small things in life and the companionship of other beings. He is deeply captivated by the beauty of nature and the galaxy, admiring everything from the rolling waves of the sea to the vast plains of the desert to the dark void of space. Perhaps exactly because of these traits he in combination with the horrors experienced during his service have a tendency to grow grumpy and depressive if he is restrained from traveling or experiencing life. He have strict self-discipline and is able to think clearly under stress, a trait gained from military training and action.

- Military Background: Because George have served in the military for a big part of his life, he is one tough SOB that knows how to think and act under pressure. However, while his Shock Trooper training have equipped him for a lot of the work he did, both physically and mentally, it is still evident that he suffers from various mental scars due to his years in extreme combat environments. One physical difficulty he have had to endure over the last couple of years is that his hearing have gone bad.
- Adventurer: George have also spend much time in the wild in all sorts of environments, this along with his inert talent for navigation have given him a remarkable good understanding of nature and made him a remarkable tracker, ranger, outdoorsman and survivalist. He is also an adept surfer and a decent pilot. However, due to his civilizations separation from the rest of intergalactic community he is ignorant of almost all other societies and their history.
