Strengths:
(+)Trainable: Griffins are clever and can learn a variety of commands and even tricks.

Weaknesses:
(-)Sterile: Like all GenPals animals, Griffins are sterile to discourage irresponsible breeding.
(-)Proprietary: Like all GenPals animals, Griffins require GenPal brand food to remain healthy and within warranty.

CULTURE
Diet: GenPals Brand Griffin Chow. Can be supplemented with GenPals Brand Griffin treats to treat your new best friend! Griffins should not be fed off brand food or it will void their warranty.
Communication: Chirps, squeaks, squawks, growls, and body language.
Technology level: N/A
Religion/Beliefs: N/A
General behavior: A Griffin is loyal and affectionate. Bred specifically to bond to its owner, it has a strong desire to be near, but not to crowd. A Griffin is never happier than when it is within eyesight of its owner. While they enjoy physical affection in the form of petting and head scratches (possibly even the errant belly rub), they largely prefer those affections to be performed on their terms. They may tolerate being pet for a short time if they are not interested, then get up and move out of reach before settling back down. Occasionally, someone truly persistent may receive a nip or a swipe, if avoidance is not respected. They are wary of strangers by nature, but will not get aggressive unless they or their owner are threatened, or are trained to respond to a command. A Griffin may clack its beak in warning before attacking, but only if it is unsure of someone’s intent. Once someone has acted aggressively in a Griffin’s presence, no warning will be given before they attack. As far as they are concerned, that person has now lost that privilege. All Griffins made by GenPals, both personal defense and those in the pet lines (Coming soon!) get along well with each other, but are warier of other animals, though this can be overcome with training and familiarity.
HISTORICAL INFORMATIONCass thought they looked ridiculous. Which of course, she reasoned, meant they’d likely be insanely popular. Created as a special order originally, the Griffin is a hodge-podge of features, more suited to mythology than to reality. But the implication of its wider appeal became clear as they worked on the prototype for Miss King. It would eventually lead to multiple offerings for public sale, and spearhead the entry of GenPals into the ‘Private Security’ sector.
