Strengths:
  • Great explosive firepower: a Genie is equivalent to four proton bombs in firepower

Weaknesses :

DESCRIPTION
In large-scale engagements, it was found that the low survivability of attack craft actually favored fielding smaller numbers of larger ordnance, so that they can achieve more effectiveness prior to being killed. Due to the large size of the warhead, it cannot reliably fight ships faster than an average corvette so that it is best fired unguided when used against masses of smaller craft, in which case it is recommended to use fragmentation charges. Several different types of warheads can be fitted inside a Genie: fragmentation, penetrator, HE, to name the main ones. Also they can be fitted with stun gas or ionic charges if they are needed to disable masses of organic or electronic targets, respectively, rather than to destroy them. It also includes guidance systems, as well as an ion drive, but the guidance system is otherwise not much different from a typical guidance system found in a generic assault concussion missile.

As with several missiles in use today, the Genie features delayed homing: the operator can have the missile launched as if unguided for a set amount of time (usually 3-5 seconds, programmed when the targeting solution is being established) and then have it turn on the infrared guidance system after that time has elapsed.

So there's one really glaring fault with this weapon.

Baradium is not an explosive in the traditional sense. A 50 kg bararium core will do none of the things you've described. What it will do is create a giant ball of plasma that does a lot of damage to everything it touches, and leaves everything outside the blast unharmed. I would recommend either finding an acceptable substitute that will perform as described, or rethink how you want this submission to work.
