Name: Urik-kar Saigo most commonly known as General Saigo; 'The Butcher of Halbegardia' ; 'The Merciless Sword of the Sith'; 'Saigo The Valiant' within OS Armed Forces.
Loyalties: Formerly One Sith. Currently Wraithguard.
Role: Chief of Staff of Wraithguard.

Development Threads: Yet to appear.

Age: Mid-to-late 40s
Species: Zabrak

Appearance: A very average build and height, Saigo is certainly not a man that would intimidate someone from his appearance. Although, he carries himself with such air that demands respect and acknowledges his battlefield skills, rarely would he give out some special impression to the average joe on the street.

On the contrary, Saigo is capable to blend with a crowd thanks to his 'familiar' features. A man of etiquette and discipline, he walks and talks as a man who had spend his entire life and mind on war and battle. More often than not, he'd be seen with simple armor on, or at least a chestplate with a vest on top. He'd either have armor leggings or long camo cargo pants that end into metal boots.

With green eyes and always clean shaved, he would fit right into some odd clique in a college on Coruscant if it was not for Saigo's constant grimace and very blank facial expressions.

Personality: Saigo can be described as a direct to the point man that often seems emotionless to everyone. He possesses a very dark humor that rather than giving some hint of emotion it reinforces the perception of how emotionless and neutral he could be.

An independent and authoritative man he is not afraid to voice his opinion at any times and can is often remarked for being a headstrong leader whose authority is hard and almost impossible to undermine. This has made him a difficult asset for the One Sith to control but nonetheless a capable and very zealous man that has furthered the goals of the One Sith with ruthlessness and great efficiency.

Force Sensitivity: N

Weapon of Choice: His sharp mind only at the moment (explained in bio). In the future - G-35.

Skills:

  • Man of Surprises: Saigo is not necessarily a man that plans every single step ahead, certainly he comes up with a concept or a guideline that is to be followed but is certainly a reactive commander rather than proactive. His greatest strength comes in his ruthlessness, unorthodox and spontaneous decisions and logically - countering the enemy. Often criticized by his peers during his career as an officer for his actions, he has proved them wrong with the success rate of the operations he has led. At one point, he'd been nicknamed as 'Trump Card Saigo' by his underlings.
  • Accurate Rifleman: Ever since the military academy, Saigo has pursued a more universal role in battle being able to be a jack-of-all-trades. Yet, he has mostly been regarded for his good accuracy with all sorts of weapons. Certainly not a sniper but definitely a capable rifleman on the front lines that can shoot you first.
  • Vehicular Mechanics: Definitely not an excellent mechanic nor does he possess some hidden talent in it but Saigo has learned from experience about mainly vehicular mechanics and is capable to provide support and repairs to various vehicles.

Wealth: At this moment - not a dime (details in bio).

Combat Function: Commander of armed forces.

Notable Possessions: His cybernetic left hand.

History:

Urik-Kar Saigo was born to the prominent Zabraki family Saigo. A wealthy family on Iridonia that have been known for their hunger for power, influence and narcissism. Their agenda fell in line with the One Sith and have been relentless supporters of the rule of the Sith. It was such the upbringing of Urik-kar that he had no choice other than to be a mirror of his parents and extended family.

The middle child of three, Urik-kar had always been forced into competitions with his siblings due to their parents' passionate desire to raise their kids to be the absolute best there is. When one of the children performed worse in something, let's say a subject in school, he was purposefully ignored by the parents while they bathed the other two or one in attention. It was a fierce environment that Urik-Kar was brought in and played an immense factor in shaping his personality. It was also the reason why there was no fraternity or bond between the three siblings.

Just competition.

Obsessed with the legacy they were to leave, Saigo's parents continued that 'race' even later through high school and eventually when the three siblings moved onto bigger things in life. His elder sister had immediately pursued a political degree in the most prestigious university on Coruscant, shaped by her parents she graduated top of her class and immediately began chasing influence and power by following a career as a politic. Urik-Kar's younger brother entered the fiercely competitive galaxy of business by starting his own cargo freighting firm where he quickly surpassed many of the freighter firms on Iridonia and eventually began paving his way in the galaxy's merciless battle for cargo transport.

While General Saigo joined the One Sith Military Academy with the hopes of becoming a capable officer that will be known for furthering the influence of the One Sith across the galaxy.

Leaving the grasp of his parents, it was in the Academy that Saigo finally, with lots of hardships, began bonding with people. Even then, he could never bond to an extent that his peers would be able to but he became more open and was not considered a lone wolf or an outcast. On the contrary, despite his complication of socializing and creating bonds, his capability, competitiveness and spirit were contagious and he earned the rest of the cadets' respect.

Unsurprisingly, Saigo left the Academy with flying colors graduating top of his class. Yet, this time, he could not care less about that competition his parents still tried to put his siblings and him into.

Urik-Kar Saigo was far beyond that, he had to forge his mind into a weapon that would be sharp enough to strike down every enemy of the One Sith and expand their influence across the galaxy. He promised himself he would become known, no matter what the price.

Ironically, later on during his career when he had, the unit he was tasked to command was a new unit - 57th Tank Regiment 'Kath Hound' which had as it's motto 'No Matter What'. The Regiment was known for its brutal, often suicidal but highly successful operations where it was faced with greater odds.

The golden age passed and the One Sith began rotting from within, his sister, as far as he had known, had been killed in a political plot for power. The One Sith's enemies came like vultures preying upon the weak and began tearing at the Empire piece by piece taking away all the hard work and sacrifices of those that served. Filled with unbelievable hate, Saigo swore to crush and slaughter those that tried to cut the grasp of the One Sith upon the galaxy.

If his operations beforehand were called ruthless, his actions following the beginning of the end of the One Sith are despicable.

Every single hint of rebellion, of uprising or of any sort of resistance in any planet where his unit was, he crushed with absolute brutality and not a second thought. Such was the case with the rebels of the city state of Halbegardia on Adumar. With every victory the Galactic Alliance claimed at the other end of the galaxy, Saigo's hate and lack of compassion grew more. It was during the uprising of Adumar, that General Saigo was nicknamed 'The Butcher of Halbegardia'. One by one, mercilessly, were the rebels captured along with their families and their relatives and those that were known as their associated. They were tied up and row by row executed upon a building of a wall at the center of the City. The wall would later on be known as 'The Martyrs' Wall'.

Eventually, his unit was finally going to go up against the Galactic Alliance in the defense of Coruscant. Should the capital fall, Saigo knew this would be the end.

Well, it fell.

Preferring to die rather than to survive, faith was cruel to him to leave him alive. Unconscious, he was taken away to escape the glorious death that awaited him, and he was taken to the untamed Outer Rim and the fringes of the galaxy to eventually become a mercenary leader but after a year or two he ended up in prison in charges of being a ring leader. It was after the loss of Coruscant and the fall of the One Sith and becoming a prisoner that led to him losing his blind hate towards the Alliance and a change swept him right under his feet.

General Saigo became who he is now.

Deep inside, though, his heart craved for justice, for vengeance.

For the return of the Sith.

Intent: To flesh out a NPC that will soon appear in Vitor Avendahl's storyline and be more or less important to his character development.
