[*]Uniform: When not in combat the Sentinels wear a brown uniform sharing similarities to the imperial officers uniform with distinct differences according to the rank of the individual from the various enlisted ranks to the officers that lead it.

Skilled: Sentinels are well trained, disciplined, and well equipped soldiers who can handle themselves quite well in fights. Most are experienced veterans with prior combat experience through military service. - Loyal: Through their training regimen Sentinels are completely loyal to their employer and are fervent followers of the faith that worships their masters as living gods ensuring their complete dedication.
- Humanity: While they are loyal the Sentinels are not extensively conditioned like the Blackblades or Crownguard who would walk off a cliff if their masters ordered it so. If they face an overwhelming opponent and are without sufficient support or reinforcements they will pull back if demoralized enough.

Over the span of a few short decades House Zambrano grew from just two low level intelligence agents into an intergalactic empire with holdings spanning throughout the entire galaxy. Initially security worked for their vast holdings when it was a token few properties that were defended by elements of the Blackblade Guard. But the continued expansion spread the elite fighting force too thin. Furthermore the need for effective security forces became evident in areas the guard fell short after Darth Carnifex's death at the hands of Kiskla Grayson.
The decision was made that the Blackblade Guard would no longer provide general security at all holdings, they would be relegated to being garrisoned at a few vital locations and a new agency was formed with recruitment stemming from loyal populations from the Pacanth Reach and Thule with clear requirements for recruits including a physical mandate and prior military experience was a must. They were given the right training, equipment and conditioning laid out by the highest echelons of House Zambrano. When it was all said and done the first class of Gelian Sentinels was created, named after the god Gelios who sacrificed his body in order to create the earth the epicanthix live on. The Gelian Sentinels too sacrifice by being the first line of defense willing to give their lives in service to House Zambrano.
