GBA: Alexandra vs. Vulpesen

Participants: [member="Alexandra Feanor"]
[member="Vulpesen"]

Location: Coruscant, Underworld
Time: Evening, Sun fading in the background
Rules: Open format, no rules
Canon: No

The combatants find themselves in the belly of the underworld of Coruscant. The smell of sewage is thick in the air, hanging stratified in layers that cling to the buildings and market as one ascends to the upper echelons of the planet. Speeders scurry around pedestrians, the rules of the road seen as an inconvenient suggestion, as opposed to the law of the land. Vendors move about with wooden carts and trollies, the smell of food culminating an odd sense that despite your lack of hunger, you could really go for a bite to eat right now.

No one really knows why you are here and they don't really care. The flow of pedestrian walking cuts around you like water around large cobble in the brook, another inconvenience in an inconvenient place. It's dark for some reason, though one can hardly ever tell the hour in a place that rarely sees the sun. You find your fellow combatant, locking eyes with one another as more than just faces in the crowd.

Special Consideration: None.

ooc: sorry this took so long, uber busy lately and I kept forgetting.

Vulpesen's tail flicked behind him as he caught sight of Alexandra. Target in sight, he started forward, slowly unclipping his saber from his belt. It was obvious that she saw him and thus he simply had to hope that his skill would outweigh hers. No element of surprise, just his general battle gear. The Twilight armor, the kitsyelp bracers, ten daggers, his blaster, and his usual lightsaber. Nothing out of the ordinary, but certainly nothing to scoff at.

Alexandra smiled as there was something great about knowing who your opponent was on such a level to know the biological weaknesses that came with it, so without hesitation and just boredom that he hadn't thrown the first punch she reached into the cloak she wore normally and tossed up a grenade in the air as she delayed its detonation with the force and kept it on track before letting it detonate near him. The thing being a pure concussion grenade that operates on one thing... sound.

"Stang!" Vulpesen to a large leap to the right as the grenade blew out, causing him to ride the waves in a haze of deafening pain. Of course, she knew of the zorrens and thus she was one of the few people who would know what hurt him most. As he tumbled to the ground, he brought his hands up to his ears, trying to block but the incessant ringing. Focus! YOU MUST FOCUS! And if you can't do that, MOVE! He shot up to his feet and launched past the now screaming people (grenades in crowds did tend to have that effect) to leap behind a stall of goods.

Watched the crowd scatter and waited for them to clear out while she looked at Daeda and moved her head in a motion. The white Ashlan making its way through the crowd and following Vulpesen's footsteps without him seeing the wolf. Meanwhile Alexandra herself reached out and made use of a certain and powerful bond between her and Vulpesen. So she was using their closeness to understand in which direction he would be, her hands crossing behind her as she waited for Daeda to find him or as she got closer for her to.

Vulpesen stayed low under the stall as he recovered, his mind slowly clearing. He had to distract her. He had to do something. Taking a moment, he reached out to his one friend on the battlefield, Ace. Life story. Readyness? While normally able to speak with the ashlan with words, Vulpesen's mind was muddled with even that, and thus he was left to go only with feelings. Yes. With that, Vulpesen and his partner unleashed the ashlan version of hell. Ace opened his mind and pushed everything he felt to Daeda, including what Ashlans called the story. Everything Vulpesen had experienced and felt was thrust upon Ace who passed it over to Daeda, with his story added in. An extreme depository of information slamming into the wolf. It was a ritual that even on Myrkr, Ashlans never did without days of mental preparation. Such a tactic would work even better if Alexandra could experience the bleedoff of such mental pain.

Alexandra felt the bleed off the moment Daeda got hit with the blast of emotions and memories. Luckily for her Vulpesen tended to forget what she herself contained. She hesitated still though, seeing this she realized she needed to safeguard their minds from now on and reaching out to Daeda she added his mind to hers in realms of protection, staring through the crowd at Vulpesen's hiding place but doing nothing while she waited for their minds to settle. She could not fight with Daeda's mind like this.

Vulpesen blinked his eyes as he started to recover form the pain in his ears. But seeing as that Daeda had stopped responding tot he pain, Vulpesen decided to make a bit of noise of his own. Sensing Alexandra through the force, Vulpesen took a deep breath and popped his head up from the stall. "HOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWLLLLLLL!" The force left his lungs with a power, sending the force's concussive waves from his mouth towards Alexandra, attempting to launch her across the lower level's market.

She watched him get up and let open his mouth. "NOT THIS TIME." She stopped in her place and brought her hands out infront of her. She would start to project a solid arrow head barrier around her body to allow for the force of Vulpesen's howl to slam into it but be diverted and the force of the howl dispersed like a river being split by a land mass. It still cracked though as she looked through the force at it and saw the materialization of a metaphysical barrier around her starting to crack and shatter. "Damnit..." She breathed in and jumped up lightly before letting the barrier shatter and the rest of the blast hit her. Instead of resisting it she moved with it and followed the current before slowing herself to a halt.

Only then would she land and let her sabers find her hands as she moved into a lower stance that held her blades in a reverse grip. Her eyes narrowing as she made sure Daeda was fine through her ashlan connection with him, staring down the street and looking for the form that was Vulpesen. He stuck out though, thankfully. Glowing eyes, a tail, an a very unique force aura that she latched on through her connection to the force in terms of sacrificing her physical sight for a force based artificial one. "Got you."

He growled as she proved well defended from the strike and instead open for another attack. Leaping ver the bar counter, he charged after the woman, one hand outstretched while his mind sent a message for Ace to seek out the younger wolf and end it.

As his glowing blue companion went out, the Tenevi cupped his outstretched fingers and sent out tendrils of the force, each one coming form one of his fingers. As the metaphysical weapons arced their way towards Alexandra, they would punch through stands, planks, and anything else their way. just as though Vulpesen were guiding daggers, only this time, far harder to block.

She watched Ace go and then saw the tendrils almost a moment too late. "Shit." Her body reacted far before her mind perceive in that moment as she watched the tendrils rip through her cloak like a hot knife through butter. 'Note to self, don't let those hit a blow...' She smiled though as a thought occurred to her and she spoke. "Hey Vulps, Chill out." She smiled and skidded to a halt as she reached out with one hand and soon the air around him and his own body temperature would drop. Furthermore she crept into Vulpesen's mind and replaced what he saw as Alexandra with Zarro. Of course she was always wary of him getting past what he saw, but without Ace it would take a few moments longer.

Vulpesen growled as a stall exploded from the force of his strike, leaving Alexandra unharmed by the attack. But before he could redirect the tendrils, he felt a chill to his bones, causing him to shiver. "Sonofa..." He focused the force into himself. An ability he rarely used, but one he had learned on Arkania to combat the cold. He relaxed as a wave of warmth spread through his body.

As he face was replaced by Zarro, Vulpesen halted his strike, needing a moment to shake it from his mind. No, he couldn't fall for that. But perhaps he could use a similar trick. He clicked the mask on his face, turning on the re-breather before flicking a canister out form the back of his coast. As the cannister tumbled towards the woman, a spray left the top, swirling its way to the woman. Rhak Skuri gas. one breath and she'd find herself in a world of horrors.

His hesitation was all she needed as she shot forward, her breath not even worrying about the gas as she turned to breath control. This power was something that protected a force user from inhaling toxic poisons and other such gasses in the air. Thus protecting one from such things as poison, knockout, and all the better Rhak Skuri Gas that she knew Vulpesen used quite often. Infact his using of the mask was what tipped her off and she reached out now as she looked through the gas and started to grip the regulator of it.

Her seeing it though was through the ability force sight which she frequented more than enough times to easily see the flows of the force and if mister fox brain thought that was where it would end, he was wrong. Her hand stated to close as she targeted the mask and only the mask, watching him through the force and ready for what ever attack would come. And if none did Alexandra would simply crush his mask and expose him to his own gas.

Vulpesen growled as he felt a sudden weight around his head. Apparently, she had found some way to avoid the terrors. Still, he had his own wiles still. Taking a deep breath, he reached up his hands and expanded his force presence. Force sight locked in on a person's signature and this wasn't the first time Vulpesen had used the tactic. Without warning, his presence in the force would increase as he expelled the power, holding nothing back in the display.

Besides the simply puffing out of his metaphysical chest, Vulpesen would use the force for three other purposes, one obvious, and two far less so and hopefully hidden by his increased presence. The obvious use would be an exerted control on his mask, aiming to counteract his opponent's grip. The other uses, served for one attack. First, he sensed her location, a logical move that she would likely think nothing of. Next, he used it to flick a simple mechanism on his rest. the firing mechanism for his dart shooters. A spray of thirty darts would race through the air, half of them laced with rhak Skuri concentrate. And half of them laced with lecapanine. Even if she managed to survive the possible overdose, it was likely she would wish herself dead.

It was a lightning feeling, something that told her to move and as she inched away from her current path tendrils shot through and one slamed into and cut through her left arm which sent her cry out and she hardened up. The wound wasn't deep and she could operate with it still but first she needed to stop the bleeding. Pushing her way through the gas she shot up to the nearest roof as she deactivated her sabers and clipped them to her belt. She needed to get out of here now and there was only a few ways she was going to do this. With a breath in she started to run, her right hand held over the wound and working at it to heal as she ran for now. She needed somewhere that could be used against this man.
