- Certainty of Craft: The usage of Phrik and Cortosis makes the gauntlet almost completely resistant to most forms of energy damage such as blaster fire and even lightsabers, with the palm of the gauntlet in particular being able to simply stop most bolts from impacting the wearer at all. Additionally the usage of Gammaplast alongside the Phrik plating has made for a hardy and durable armor overall, if a bit heavy. The Erinar Diamond embedded within the gauntlet empowers its repulsor generators to an exemplary standard, far exceeding most other such models, and for the Force attuned individuals can even be used as something of a focus for their powers and abilities which is further amplified by the Sarassian Iron components.
- The Sith Jewel: The glowing core of the gauntlet and that which provides the repulsor generators within it power is that of an Erinar Diamond, a potent yet at times admittedly unstable power source. This is actually the main reason why the gauntlet is only made in single versions even though two could be worn at the same time, as should the diamond rupture or overheat then it would easily harm the wearer in either a molten explosion or simply by burning their limb off. Additionally these can be diminished in their power output via techniques such as Force Light or Force nullification and suppression, making the gauntlet rely on internal batteries instead.
As war with the High Republic loomed, the Sith Order began preparing its arsenal to combat all that the Mid-Rim had to offer them as opponents. Conventional arms, armor, and vehicles would of course be manufactured on a large scale with many of them being existing models and items already in use across the Order's forces, yet once the presence of Jedi amongst the ranks of the Republic was confirmed there was something of a shift in attitude for the Sith themselves to be as prepared as the soldiers beneath them. While many within the Order had no shortage of experience against Jedi, the Sith were hardly ones to forgo any advantages that they could outfit themselves with.
Various forms of equipment would be crafted within the dark forges of the Sith Order's arcane and sorcerous workshops, designed by wise minds and made reality by effective and cruel hands. The Gauntlet of Wrath would be perhaps the most experimental of these new inventions, utilizing one of the more unstable yet irresistibly powerful sources of energy found within Sith space. The Erinar Diamonds would be utilized in a reinvention of ancient Sith power gauntlets to form the Gauntlet of Wrath, a design that was just as deadly for the wearer as it was protective.
Given the somewhat unsure nature of its power source though, these gauntlets wouldn't be made in large numbers and would instead be kept secured in the deep vaults of the Sith capitol on Jutrand and the stores of the Sith Order's Legions until a contest of strength and will was held to determine who amongst the Sith would lead their forces against the Republic. Only one would emerge as the worthy Warlord, but all those bold enough to participate would have their efforts rewarded with a Gauntlet of Wrath. The most foolish, or perhaps bravest, among them could even utilize two of them if they so pleased. Although even this was advised against by the uncaring and aloof Sepulchral Priests which would offer up these prizes.
