- Flying Fortress: Inspired by the Y-wings of old, Si Tech threw everything it could into keeping the bomber alive. Armed to the teeth with top of the line blaster cannons, and heavy plating, taking out the Thunderstorm is quite the task.
- Aim Assist: The turrets within the Thunderstorm are controlled via the secondary gunner, linked up with the astromech's systems, allowing for the secondary gunner to use his computer system to line up shots with multiple guns, rather than taking control of each individually.
- Hurricane: The Thunderstorm is designed with a lot of bombs. What loadout you want is up to you. Either way, it's gonna hit pretty hard.
- Storm Warning: The Thunderstorm isn't designed for dogfighting. It's low speed and maneuverability is designed to be offset by high firepower, not swift movements.
- Droid Reliant: Many of the higher level systems are reliant on the astromech to run. While the ship can still function without one, functions such as the turret controls, Sensor Array, and Missile Deactivation will be less effective without droid assistance.
- Low and Slow: The Thunderstorm is designed with small squadron counts. This can hamper effectiveness.
The first foray into starship design for Si Tech, the Thunderstorm was designed as a new strike bomber for the GADF. Designed with heavy firepower and an 'offense is best defense' mentality, the Thunderstorm is armed to the teeth with heavy blasters, hardpoints, and plating designed to shrug off any form of attack. This comes at the cost of speed, but allows the Thunderstorm to strike enemy capital ships with massive amounts of bombs and torpedos.
