STRENGTHS

  • Lightsaber Resistant: Made of beskar, and a euk'gar bodysuit, it is pretty hard to get a lightsaber hit in easily to dismember or behead, which bears testament to the rise of Force Users in war.

  • Force Resistance: The parts of the armor covered in Terentatek Leather have standard resistances of that material to the Force.

  • Full-Load: With the combat harness, like most of the more heavily armed Mandalorians, Ijaat is prepared for pretty much whatever may come his way, at least in some small way. Victory, no. But survival, yes.

WEAKNESSES:

  • Conflicting Functions: The camouflage functions or the shield function can only be active one at a time. It takes several seconds to adjust for one to the other

  • Limited Ammunition: The weapons on the armor are not the easiest to reload and some of them are one and done weapons (Missiles, Dart Launcher), while the others are simply difficult to reload, and impossible to do without a respite

  • Heavy Burden: Some might wax philisophical about the protection offered by such a suit, but the truth is, at twenty kilograms, this is not a lightweight suit of armor in any imagination stretch.

DESCRIPTION

Since his rebirth, he had worn a few suits of armor, mostly altered ones from the forges of ArmaTech and [member="Draco Vereen"]. To tell the truth, it wasn’t because his new body couldn’t. Or that knowledge had faded from his mind on how to work hammer and tongs on anvil. The secrets of beskar working had not abandoned him. If anything, his knowledge of such had only increased as his studies into the mysteries of the Force had deepened.

The time had come though. He had given the relic of his ancestor, the armor of Mereel, over to better keepers. It was not right of him to use such a relic as a personal suit. Truth be told he just didn’t feel right in it. Like he was a recipient of honor and glory he hadn’t earned, and that chafed at him. So he had set about utilizing connections within the Clans and Witches and elsewhere to make a new suit, wholly designed for him from the ground up.

Reaching out to Clan Vereen, he had their shamans work terentatek leather into leather to be put over major joints of the armor, an old armorers pieces known once as ‘voiders’. These pieces were very lightly alchemized, to preserve the Force resistance of their natural state, and a very, very slight resistance to lightsaber strikes, equivalent to the Mandalorian steel they were placed over. Each was minimal, covering key joints and factors at the neck/throat, knees, elbows, wrists, and ankles. This would keep pesky jetti from using their infamous telekinetic crushes and the like to weaken him.

Next the same style of overlapping plates as his first armor was emulated, to a degree, but made even further form fitting in sections like the pauldrons. Layered and overlapping plates of beskar were formed and fixed together, making a shell of beskar that would turn aside all but the most determined of assaults on his person. A heavier kama of the apex predator of Myrkr, the Murder Tooth, hangs at his waist, treated the same as the Terentatek leather, but retaining only the property to turned aside glancing and light blows.

The helmet was taken straight from the files of ArmaTech… Really there was no need to fiddle with perfection, and his former student and steadfast friend had nearly achieved that with this creation. Other than adding a slot that would allow his A.I. known as Geoffery a hard-interface with the armor, and command over systems therein, he kept the designs and parts within utterly the same, beyond the aesthetics of the helmet.

How long this suit will last before his obsessive tinkering makes it obsolete is not known, but for now, it is the very latest in what he can produce and wear.
