Gallinore Revisited

[member="Relina Zhan"]

How long had it been now since he had visited proper? He had been so busy, between his work for the Silver Jedi Order and in being a father, that he hadn't found time to visit Relina in such a long time. But the two had gotten in touch again, and Josh had agreed to come visit at Galinore. As the Final Dragon would touch down on the planet, the Jedi Master would let out an exhale as he would help his two year old son, Jason, out of his seat. The boy had short blonde hair and brown eyes, he was the spitting image of his father in every way. One would be hard pressed to know who the mother was, either Josh had a dominant gene, or what little traits from the mother they had taken, were ones that Josh also had. He supposed it was for the best, considering the circumstances.

As the two would walk with Josh holding Jason's hand, and the building came into view he would look around to see if he could find the familiar sight he was looking for.

It was late morning and the Ducha of Gallinore had been glued to the holo in the living parlour of the Palace of St. Clavelle. She was watching the local morning news, "Good Morning Gallinore". A servant had advised her that none other than Josh Dragonsflame had arrived with a little bundle of joy, no less.

"Well, see him in and attend to his requirements" Relina replied, standing up swiftly to dress. Incidentally, she had still been in her nightgown and a robe. While Josh had once seen her in far less, it still wasn't proper at the moment. She was off today, although always on call, as it were.

Relina fixed her hair up in a loose bun and changed into a neat lavender dress, not unlike the one her sister had been wearing since breakfast, and a pair of comfortable sandals. A little spritz of perfume and she'd make her way out to meet her friend... or had he been more to her? Last she had seen and heard, he had married, which was sort of unpleasant news to her at the time. She had liked him and, of course, was prone to jealousy of others who could command his affection. But, alas, she had put it out of her mind at the time... and yet, here he was. What news had he? And he had a child with him?

His former marriage was not something he wished to speak of. Jason was the most important part of his life now. That was how things were. As the duo would walk to the entrance, the sight of the Ducha would bring a warm smile to the Jedi Master's face as he would step forward to greet her with a gentle bow.

"Ducha Zhan, it has been some time" He spoke softly. Josh didn't look all that different from last they had met, and yet there was something to his eyes that spoke to the idea that he was weathered... Tired. "I trust you have been well?" The Jedi would ask as he would study her features, noting she hadn't seemed to have changed in her facial features either.

It was true that the two had been intimate in the past, though it had not progressed and Josh had gone on to do other things while, last he had heard of Relina, she had been working on an arranged marriage. How had that gone, he wondered?

Alas, the Goddess of Love did not smile upon her still in terms of a long term relationship... not even the political kind. At best, she could hope for having whatever man she wanted when she wanted, but didn't often act upon that privilege, much to her sister's chagrin. Relina's face softened into a welcoming smile as her eyes first went to the little boy holding Josh's hand. By Hera, the kid looked like a smaller, younger version of his father. There was no doubt the two were father and son.

"I've been well. Busy... but well." she answered, approaching the boy. She leaned down gently, hoping not to scare him with sudden movement that might be taken as too aggressive to a young mind that was in unfamiliar surroundings. "And this is your son, I presume?" she asked.

Since being single again, Josh had been in a few... Entanglements, but he had never really found himself in an actual commitment. There was certainly ideas, but... Nothing had come of it. As of yet, anyway. Regardless, the Jedi would watch as Relina would gently approach his son. Jason would back up a bit, but the careful attention to detail seemed to at least ease him in a little better. No sudden movements.

"This is my son, Jason" Josh spoke softly, his voice showing a hint of pride. "I've been busy as well. But I can recap everything when we get inside, no? Why don't we sit down somewhere?"

Relina would nod and walked alongside the man and his son. She lead them into the building and brought them to the living parlour here she had been just prior to their arrival. The room was modern and comfortably furnished, the holo still online and streaming the local live news.

"So, you have a little one now... How does it feel to be a father?" She asked, curiously. Not knowing motherhood herself, this was something she wanted his perspective on.

She'd gesture for a servant to approach to see to their needs.

It was a bit awkward sure, with their last encounter in person having been before he had gotten married, had Jason... Jason was close to three years old now, and now here he was, the same, single man he was when they'd met, and yet he had a walking reminder of that marriage walking beside him. Not that he would trade Jason for anything. Even if he wished sometimes that he'd had him in a relationship that would actually last. Jason deserved better than this. Jason deserved more than just him.

"It's the most wonderful thing" Josh would admit as he looked toward Relina when she would ask how it felt to be a father. "It's not the easiest thing, not by any means, and yet... I would not trade this for anything. Raising Jason alone is even harder, but... I am happy to have him with me.

And what of you? How have you been the last while? It has been some time."
