DESCRIPTION
This ore is found only on Galidraan and while there are color variations they all hold the same properties. High heat tolerance, high tolerance to lightsabers, energy, and kinetic damage. They’re mined using a mix of hydro and sonic technologies and are only found in the deepest of caves throughout the system. These ores are turned into ingots by smelters and eventually handed over into the hands of a weaponsmith or at times a blacksmith.

The ores are very heavy, and often one ore is not enough for a single ingot and it requires three to five of the ores to create one ingot. This largely depends on the smelter’s furnace and how strong the ingot needs to be. Galidraan uses its own grading system for ingots’ strength and what the ingots are to be used for. Often if an item is to be made purely from Galidraanium then one needs five ores, if it is to be mixed with other metals then you would need three.

Smaller smelters which make up the majority of smelters throughout Galidraan make Grade 2 ingots (three ores), larger ones make Grade 1, it is uncommon and often rare to find Grade 2 and Grade 1 ingots in markets as these are the lowest pure Galidraanium ingots. Industrial smelters create Grade 0 ingots that are typically used for larger projects. Ingots that are graded 3 through 5, are less pure and often have iron mixed into them. These are the most common types of ingots you will find in Galidraan as pure Galidraanium is often reserved for the aristocracy, the royal family, and the military.

The grading system is used for all ingots be it aurodium, bronzium, iron, or other metal ores. Galidraanium and ores like it that are unique to the system have become harder and harder to find. This has been due to over mining in the past centuries. Sovereign Minerals Resources is working on a way to create synthetic Galidraanium that will have the same qualities as the original.
