STRENGTHS
  • Behemoth of War: The Galatine-class Assault Walker was designed to dominate the battle field. The wide array of weapons available to it and the ease of changing these weapons out has made it an incredibly versatile and dangerous force on the battlefield. It can, in turn, receive similar punishment as it can hand out thus making it an all around good and dependable vehicle of war.
  • Coordinated Assault: The Galatine-class Assault Walker is equipped with the ability to network with other vehicles and equipment produced by CAIN Omnicorp. to allow for quick and reliable data communication. This enables a group of walkers to share sensory data, allow them to know where each other are at all times within a few kilometer radius, and communicate both with each other but also with any commander through encrypted use of the network.
WEAKNESSES
  • Bipod Problems: The problem with nearly all walkers, and especially bipedal ones, is that the destruction of a leg is incredibly crippling and difficult to repair. While the Galatine-class Assault Walker has reinforced armor and shielding along the legs to make this difficult to achieve, should the legs be sabotaged, destroyed, or caught then the walker is effectively crippled.
  • Electronic Warfare: Most of the electronic systems aboard a Galatine-class Assault Walker are simple and are meant to be easy to learn and get the job done. This has, as an after effect, made them vulnerable to slicing. In a fully crewed walker an engineer may be able to fight off slicing attempts but that is entirely dependent on the walker's crew. This can most often be achieved by highjacking the walker's attempts to network with other walkers, or through the diagnostic ports positioned on the top hull of the vehicle.
DESCRIPTION
The Galatine-class Assault Walker, standing nearly 19 meters tall, is a beast on the battlefield. It's thick armor and heavy weaponry see it wading through enemy fire and more often then not punching harder than it was damaged. This was the role it was designed fore, a mainline battle-walker which strategies could be designed around and which would hog the enemy's attention. The armaments and armor of the Galatine-class Assault Walker has slowed it down. While still faster than the average human's running pace the walker is often air-lifted from its base to the battlefield as most other modern equipment can outpace it.

Hello first and foremost we'll go with the important thing John Locke John Locke knows battletech better then me and has final say for mechs like this. So you may have to change the artwork as a heads up.

Second, the ability to change weapons is fine but proton weapon weapons were largely starship mounted weapons aand on a walker makes this much more powerful then would be. I would say ditch that for limited or keep it for unique.

The electronic warfare weakness is well-conceived but requires minor clarification. The text states that the systems are simple and vulnerable to slicing, which is a good limitation. However, it does not specify the method by which an enemy slicer would access the walker's systems. Ground vehicles are typically not connected to wide-area networks. A brief note indicating if its diagnostic ports are only internally or externally/internally accessible would help prevent arguments about whether slicing is even possible.

I ditched the proton weapons and swapped them out for just a heavier version of the beam turret.

I added a strength specifically mentioning the Walker's networking ability as I thought that could be cool, and then tied it in to the weakness about slicing as well as clarifying there are external diagnostic ports.
