Suggestion Galactic Wide War / Galactic Civil War

Something I started to wonder with the topic of more, and much larger Faction interactions gave me the idea of going back to the good ol' galactic civil war the Star Wars universe was facing when most of us were first introduced to it and why we dont have much larger scale wars happening on Chaos.

For example, Invasions consist of 1 Major Faction declaring an invasion of another Major faction, with a small list of allies for both parties that involves 1 hex.

But why not have say....1 Major Faction declare a War Front on another Major Faction that consists of a wall of hexes being attacked and thus opening the idea that MAYBE each faction can have it's own allies join in the defense/attack on a much more larger scale?

Obviously I can see where, yea this could get messy, but rules can be implemented, such as 1v1 or 2v2 per writer, and only 1 character per writer as it's not uncommon to see things such as 3v1s in a normal Invasion. Im spit balling an idea that I feel if supported someone else could definitely make doable/feasible compared to I.

Other rules could be that during a GWW/GCW may include things such as; During such events, Dominions and Invasions can not be declared until the event is finished?

Im not entirely sure on limits as Im talking all out war.

Like a total loss mode where you can only lose territory, or gain it by conquest until it ends? If you don't take it from someone else, you're not taking it?

I like that.
