I’ll start with the bad news - it’s me again!
OK, that out of the way with, I’ll give you the low-down of the week that was and a quick heads up about the major things to look forward to.
I’ll start with the news that [member="Geneviève Lasedri"] has won the public vote and is now formally the Chief of Senate. Geneviève, we’d like a welcome speech to rival your nomination speech if you would be so kind. It was a close run thing and we’d like to thank everyone who stood for election and those that took the time to vote.
Geneviève takes her place as part of the Triumvirate that leads the IC leadership of the Galactic Republic. So well done on a clean and successful campaign and we look forward to hearing your input into how the Republic shapes up as the weeks unfold,
Next we have a Jedi promotion to confirm. A while ago [member="Avalore Eden"] was put forward for Master but at the time decided to concentrate on her healer duties. Well I’m now delighted to confirm that the ‘original’ has confirmed she will henceforth be known as Master Eden as well as Chief Healer for the Order. Congratulations.
Looking forward, later today sees the start of an Invasion and a Counter-Invasion. The planets are Kashyyk and Prakith respectively and if you haven’t already confirmed your participation, there are OOC threads here to discuss tactics etc. and ensure we give both our best possible chance of success.
And finally, don’t forget that although it would be perfect to win both - you stay classy Galactic Republic.
