The Galactic Cosmetics Museum in early spring

Name: Galactic Cosmetics Museum

Classification: Museum

Location: Lipsec

Affiliation: Revlon Historical Society

Description: The Galactic Cosmetics Museum has collections on four publicly-accessible above-ground levels, an attic for storage and a basement for special collections as well as a cosmetics shop. In front of the Museum, there is an expansive plaza taking up almost as much space as the Museum itself. Behind the Galactic Cosmetics Museum are two high fashion shops, the flagship shops of Brint and Galmia Pepe respectively on Lipsec. It houses a permanent exhibit on the history cosmetics manufacturing processes, as well as one exhibit apiece on each major category of cosmetics, such as lipstick, eye liner, eye shadow, face powder, cologne, nail polish and hair color.

History: A few years before the Naboo Crisis, the Lipsec Government built the Galactic Cosmetics Museum on land bequeathed by the influential Revlon family, at the time one of the biggest names in the galactic cosmetics industry. At the height of the Clone Wars, the Galactic Cosmetics Museum was the location designated by the Republic to store the historically significant cosmetics of all Republic member species. During the Gulag, the collections of the Museum in auxiliary buildings have been raided alongside the buildings themselves, of which none remain, except for Revlon Hall, the main building. Then known as Revlon Hall, it survived the Gulag in a poor state of repair.

The Revlon Historical Society started a grassroots campaign to raise funds in order to restore historical Revlon Hall, with work completed in 842 ABY. It is currently still a shadow of its former glory, but still houses the largest collection of historically significant cosmetics in the galaxy.

Intent: To collect on the history of cosmetics.

Links: It is located a stone's throw away from Kartika SuperMall.
