Hello Tito. The following is my proposal for the Galactic Alliance Special Forces set-up. I'd love some discussion points from other members in regards to my idea. I've spoilered a little thesis statement up to for those interested in how this came about. If not, just skip it and read the nuts and bolts of my idea. Hope you like, shawty.
Outside of the main military streams of Army and Navy, Commander SpecForComd reports directly to the Supreme Commander and Chief of State.
COMPOSITION/ORBAT: The various units that fall under Galactic Alliance Special Forces Command include:
The Asymmetric Strike Battalion [Tier One]
Other Special Forces Battalions [Blank slates; Tier Two]
Engineer Commando Regiment
Signals Commando Regiment
Special Mobility Squadron
Special Logistics Company
HEADQUARTERS: SpecForComd HQ is heavily staffed and an intricate system. Key personnel include:
Commander SpecForComd - Commander
XO SpecForComd - Colonel
Intelligence Officer - Major
Operations Officer - Major
Plans Officer - Major
Logistics Officer - Major (also Officer Commanding of Special Logistics Company)
And many more.

INTENT: The intent of having a GA Special Forces Command is to provide minimal structure that allows writers to develop their own spec for shenanigans. The secondary effort is to make NFUs and FUs interoperable and complementary, and to kill Sith in new and interesting ways. The Sith killing is up to you, I'm just providing some sort of structure and a nudge in the right direction.
CONCEPT: I tried to make Corey's N7/ODST dream come true while grounding it in the real world. To do this I analysed the GA as a political entity within the galaxy. I assessed the GA as a small but affluent power (like a minor member of the G20). I then assessed their likely priority of effort and spending in regards to special forces, and therefore their likely size, training and tasks. Finally, I blended in Force Users and concepts from all over sci-fi to make it sexy.

GALACTIC ALLIANCE SPECIAL FORCES COMMAND
DESCRIPTION: Created by order of the Chief of State, with input from the Supreme Commander and Grand Marshal, Galactic Alliance Special Forces Command is an advanced warfighting organisation that blends multiple assets in order to provide a devastating tactical effect at the operational and strategic level of planning and warfare. With the main effort of the organisation being the Asymmetric Strike Battalion, GA SpecForComd retains the ability to strike the enemy at their critical vulnerabilities and therefore dominate the battlespace through directly corrupting the enemy's decision-making cycle.Outside of the main military streams of Army and Navy, Commander SpecForComd reports directly to the Supreme Commander and Chief of State.
