Ship vs Ship: Not a lot of weapons to combat other capital ships.
The New Class program of the Galactic Alliance required new, fresh ships that differed from the current possession of the Galactic Alliance. Boasting plenty of their own notable Fighter Squadrons, Captain Jax Hastings and Jedi Padawan Aerion Ivelisse had figured that it’d be best to put forth ships capable of destroying large amounts of starfighters in as little time as possible.
Taking on the role of an escort-esque ship, it has limited capabilities in the avenue of ship to ship combat. Fielding very few weapons capable of actually damaging a larger vessel, the Axe-Class is normally deployed as border patrol and escorting important figures. It is meant to 'mow' through starfighters, rather than being sent into a full-blown Space Battle where it'd be easy pickings for a Star Destroyer, or another ship of the line.
