- Explosive: The Harrier has two settings, and can be calibrated for an impact-fused incendiary detonation, or to scatter small L66 mines over a wider area.
- Heavy: The Harrier is a fairly bulky, unbalanced arrowhead, reducing overall range and accuracy when compared to the Nemesis' standard arrows.
Created for use with the Nemesis combat bow, the Harrier is a sophisticated (if expensive) alternate ammunition type.
Like the Nemesis' standard arrows, the Harrier fits inside the system's standard magazine, unfolding into a proper arrow once called upon. Its purpose is a fairly simple one: to allow the archer a measure of greater destructive power in a pinch.
The interior of the G24 is lined with a stack of ten L66 Firefly mines, all of which are contact-detonated on impact to combine their explosive force. The result is a tiny but nonetheless dangerous explosion, scattering radiotoxic microshrapnel and blazing chemicals across a range of some fifteen to twenty meters. This allows the Nemesis to threaten packed or dug-in infantry targets, or prove a credible danger to light vehicles in a pinch.
Alternatively, the G24 can be set to an area-denial configuration before firing. This takes quite a bit more skill to utilize, as the archer must gauge the distance between himself and the desired arming point near-perfectly.
When so utilized, the G24 fragments at a set distance, dispensing its composite mines over a wide area nearby. This allows the Nemesis' user to create an instant, on-demand minefield, and several archers working in concert can quickly blanket a sizeable area in explosive traps.
Of course, in neither case can the G24 truly compete with proper launched explosives, but it still affords an archer a pinch more flexibility in the field, providing both offensive anti-infantry/anti-materiel utility and defensive area denial utility.
