Strengths:
The Frontier Class is the first vessel in the major redesign being undertaken by the new Silver Sanctum Coalition. The first thing needed was a fast and self-sufficient corvette, one able to scout ahead of a fleet or to explore unclaimed worlds. This ship would have to carry enough weapons to protect itself, as well as attack craft and supplies to keep it going for long hauls. Therefore the Frontier Class fits the old Levantine Sanctum model of an exploration ship, but also fitting it into the more militant Silver Jedi ethos of combat.
The ship carries a crew of 100, about a third of whom are dedicated to piloting and maintaining the squadron of fighters or interceptors on board. The remaining crew man the guns, pilot or maintain the ship. There are also 10 marines who provide security. The ship is commanded by a Naval Lieutenant.
The ship’s enhanced sensors and communications allow it to detect enemy ships at long distances, and communications allow it to transmit across space in order to relay this news. They cannot, of course, detect cloaked ships, and nor can the communications overcome concentrated jamming.
In battle, the ship’s role is to scout for the enemy, then withdraw using superior speed. It can then either jump to hyperspace, or form an escort to larger ships and defend them against enemy attack craft.
All told the Frontier is a nosey ship, dedicated to scouting and exploring, whether for new worlds or for an enemy fleet. If actually caught by an enemy ship it will rapidly be taken apart, so avoiding such a fate is critical.

This ship is almost entirely dedicated to defence guns and is not intended to attack or destroy enemy escorts or capital ships. It also fits into the theme of the new Coalition by being a recon, exploration and monitoring ship.

Strengths:
- Heavy Flak. The Frontier can produce a heavy amount of firepower for its size. This makes it perfect in battle as an escort for larger ships, or to operate in uncharted systems.
- Versatile: Armed with defence weapons and carrying a squadron of fighters, the Frontier can handle most light threats and remain at space for long periods. It is also fast and agile for a ship of its class.
- Picketing. The Frontier has enhanced sensors and communication systems, allowing it to scout ahead of a fleet or into uncharted space.
- Minnow. Any serious ship of frigate class or above will eat the Frontier for breakfast. It’s not designed to defend or fight back against capital guns. If it can’t run it will be quickly minced.
- Singular Focus. Armed primarily with quad laser cannons, the Frontier lacks point defence weapons and has only two flak cannons, making it focussed only on shooting down enemy fighters the old fashioned way.
