Freedom is the Only Way Yeah! [The Free People's Militia]

Morlin Varrock

"It's never a trap! Why's everyone so paranoid?

The Nebulon B-Frigate hovered in the Nebula,as officers left the bridge one by one. On the holopad,a map was seen.
It showed off planets all around, with small descriptions appearing in little speech boxes at the bottom right.
This is the key.
The Mon Calamari leaned forward from his captain's chair, looking out towards the group. The best they had,all arranged together. He believed thoroughly that this would be the beginning of a new age. Of course, every great army needs an even better planet. And that was thy they had met. "I have brought you all here today to discuss a topic of dire importance, our home. At the moment we travel via ship,in a weak fleet. We need a foothold, somewhere to settle down and conduct our operations. Each day, more and more planets are consumed by the galactic hoard. Time is not on our side,so we must act quick. Does anyone have any ideas?"

A Nebulon B, an archaic yet powerful symbol of a certain Rebel Alliance, but that Alliance ended centuries ago, now it was time for another Rebellion to rise. The founder, a Mon Calamari by the name of [member="Morlin Varrock"], had gathered the best of the Militia on the Nebulon, to discuss their foothold in the vast galaxy. Xiarr then stood up and said: "We need somewhere close to First Order territory, perhaps Yalara? But I don't think the natives will be very pleased, though." Yalara's "natives" where the Noghri, who wiped the original inhabitants of the planet.

Jakkor was on the bridge wearing his desert style jedi robes, and lightsabers dangling from his belt. He arrived here in the months that have passed,The One Sith had collapsed, but there was a new threat rising to plunge the galaxy in total darkness The First Order. The Successor to the Galactic Empire and there ideologies. He felt that a new Resistance group similar to the Resistance that fought the first incarnation of The First Order must be created,or even reminiscent of the Rebel Alliance of old. With his experience as a commander in the Clone Wars he felt his skills could be useful so here he was standing on the old frigate listening to the Mon Cal's words.

The Tusken studied the holomap closely, and thought for a moment where there organization can build a base. He than thinks of where the first Resistance began there operations at,and thought it could be useful since the old base could be there, and the tech could be reliable as well to their growning rebellion. He replies to the Mon Cal.

"What about where the First Resistance had a base. D'Qar in the Ileenium system,The base is mostly underground, and can't be detected by air or ground sensors. The tech that is probably still there at the base could be useful to our cause."

The Mon Calamari turned his head to D'Qar,studying the words closely. "I believe D'Qar would make an excellent base for us,as at the moment,we are small. Although we have better technology than the natives, their numbers alone would make them a force to be reckoned with."

Xiarr hadn't thought of D'Qar, but It was a good idea anyways. The Mon Cal talked about the natives of D'Qar and how the Militia were outnumbered. "The natives would stand no chance against our modern technology, and all we have to do is make a base on the planet and drive the natives off the land, no need to completely destroy them." The Resistance of old were able to fend the natives off, and if they could do it, why couldn't they do the same?

Morlin looked towards Xiarr,as he said, "Right,so we've decided upon D'Qar. Now,what will be our method of taking it? I believe it would be in our best interest to get past the native animals, and locate the old Resistance base. We will clean it up,and make it our base of operations. From there,we must be swift in taking planets. For if we are not, then the First Order may just locate our base and wipe us out."

[member="Jakkor Kess"]

Xiarr looked at Morlin and then said "Yes, that is why I suggested Yalara, the planet used to be undetectable due to some sort of device that masked the planet from all sensors, I believe that we may be able to repair that device and make a perfect home base. If not, then D'Qar is a good place to start off." Xiarr sat back down and pondered the Militia's options, he studied the holo-map very closely looking for other good candidates that were close to the First Order.

Jakkor stepped forward to the two and said. "That's obvious. You put sonic emitters around the perimeter of the base keeping the wildlife at bay,but how would we take planets so easily. We need to recruit pilots, and soldiers as well as to stop the First Order from destroying us,and the resources to back us up too.

He looked around, contemplating what they'd do. Before saying, "I believe Yalara would make a good secondary mission, however, conducting business that close to the First Order in our situation may put us in a bad position. I believe that once we secure D'Qar,and have the supplies,we should advance onto Yalara and claim in the name of the Militia."

Princess Gabriella Annabella Rhayne. The princess of Naboo. She had been keeping an eye on the Mon Calamari who started the faction up and had a feeling he could and would go far. Now she was a part of the faction and was sitting in on a meeting with him and two other members, [member="Jakkor Kess"] and [member="Xiarr Sair"]. Other than being more than free spirited and rather rambunctious for a princess, she was on royal duty and was being rather quiet as she observed everything going on.

Yalara was good, but it's people were invincible. Gabriella had dealt with them once before and found them to be loyal as long as there was honesty and no harm done to their people. Gabriella then stood up upon this thought.

"If I may step in for a second, I have met with the Noghri on Yalara a few times. By all costs, if we chose this planet as a second base, just as any other planet or species, we must respect them and make no harm to the land. And just like any inhabited planet, taking by force, invokes a fight. If that happens, we would most likely catch the attention of the First Order."

she started saying. As she went on, Gabriella was processing what she was saying in her mind and then decided to just cut to the chase instead of beating around the bush.

"What I'm saying, is that instead of trying to take the planet right from underneath their noses and provoke a fight, maybe we should try talking them into letting us use their planet as a base. That way, there is less tension and possibly a less chance for the next Civil War."

Gabriella responded. She just hoped that the rest would understand without thinking of her to be a 16 year old, delusional princess.

He looked towards Gabriella, nodding as she spoke. "Hm,I believe you're correct in this matter. Of course,we will need a formal representative to speak with the Natives,if you are willing to do so,then I assign you."

[member="Morlin Varrock"], [member="Jakkor Kess"], [member="Xiarr Sair"]

Gabriella gave a smile when Morlin assigned her with the job of speaking for the Militia. She was always happy to do something to earn allies and prevent wars.

"It would be an honor to do so."

she responded.

"The Militia would stand no chance against the Noghri, I agree, but I doubt they will be very welcoming toward us." Xiarr was practically arguing against himself at this point, perhaps the princess was right, and Yalara would have to be on hold for the time being. The Mon Cal made a good decision by appointing someone as a representative since war isn't always fought by just bloodshed.

"What about building the faction up. We need to make allies that could provide funding for us,and we need to recruit more to our movement if we will be trying to stop the First Order. Everyday there numbers grow, and not to mention there dark side warriors The Knights of Ren. He was worried for the future. Ever since the fall of the One Sith the First Order was rising very quickly, and the main Governments would be focused on rebuilding to even fight this threat before it's too late. That was why this Resistance was founded.

Jakkor's concerns were reasonable, but could be fixed easily. "We're all dead anyway if we let ourselves be known so early, and the Knights of Ren are few in numbers, some don't even know they exist at all. What I'm saying is that it is very unlikely we will be spotted this early in development, well, that is if we play our cards right." If the Mon Cal knew what he was doing then the Militia was fine for now, but if he let the Militia be known too soon, then the seed will die before it even begins to grow.

"I say we take D'Qar,set up the Sonic Emitters around our base. From then,we will conduct operations against pirates in order to get more ships. Once we have amassed a reasonable ship,Gabriella will be sent on a diplomatic vessel to negotiate with the Natives. This vessel,of course, will have a reasonable force of Security incase the First Order were to find out about this. Once she has made peace, the Security will set up a base on the planet, and we will have Engineers work on that machine as soon as possible."

Hearing [member="Xiarr Sair"]'s opinion, she gave a look, but said nothing. She figured to let that one go for the time being. Then looking over to [member="Jakkor Kess"] and hearing what he said, she nodded.

"Exactly! The Noghri are protective, but if we can gain their trust and if they accept our forces and give us a good base, they could possibly also become a good ally. But as Jakkor is saying, we need allies and more people to join. What we could do, if we have the time.. and people, we can go to different worlds and recruit people from everywhere who are looking for a new cause and the want to stand up."

she responded. Xiarr's next response, resulted in Gabriella nodding in agreement. Yes, they had to be careful, but they had to also be known as a fierce group who wasn't afraid.

"Yes, but Xiarr, we have to take risks. If we want to be something bigger, there are going to be risks and those risks include stepping out of our comfort zone and doing what we can for the faction."

Gabriella said. She had learned when she was young to take the good with the bad. This was one of those times. When [member="Morlin Varrock"] spoke up once more, Gabriella responded.

"Sounds like a good plan to me."

"Well, I suppose so, but we need to move swiftly." Xiarr also nodded and looked at the Mon Cal, hopefully, the Militia would last long, but you never know what can happen.
