SETTING INFOMATION:
Military Base Name: Fort Avarice
Classification: Forward Operations Fortress
Location: Morrigal
Affiliation: Darth Virelia
Population: Moderate
Comprised of Army, Auxiliary and Command personnel.

Demographics:
Primarily human, with notable inclusion of Mirialans, Devaronians, Zabrak, and the rare Sith Pureblood. Personnel selected for loyalty, adaptability, and psychological resilience.

Accessibility:
Fort Avarice is constructed into a natural volcanic ridge on Morrigal's wind-scoured plains. Its approach is obscured by environmental interference and steep terrain, but visible from orbit. Heavily defended airspace. All access is regulated by Sith command protocols. No civilian entry permitted. Shielded perimeter, encrypted beacon signals only.

Description:
A dark, brutalist structure carved from local obsidian and reinforced permacrete, Fort Avarice is built for longevity, intimidation, and swift deployment. Black towers rise from the volcanic rock like jagged teeth, each doubling as anti-air platforms and surveillance hubs. The main fortress is divided into modular tiers: command, barracks, hangars, and armories. A subterranean level hosts tactical command, arcane research chambers, and Virelia's personal sanctum.

The entire site is lit by industrial halogen glow-rods and the red ambient light of Morrigal's sun through smoke-thickened skies. It is not a place of comfort—it is a war machine, built to grind resistance into ash.

POINTS OF INTEREST

The Spite Gate:

he fortress's imposing main entrance, The Spite Gate is less a door and more a statement of absolute control. Twin towers rise from either side of the basalt cliffside, their apexes housing long-range disruptors and repeater turrets. The entryway is a mag-locking slab of alchemized durasteel, etched with runes that react to Force sensitivity—unlocking only to authorized Sith. Flanking the gate are pylons adorned with jagged Sith iconography and the torn banners of defeated Velgrathi.

The Inner Bastion:

The heart of Fort Avarice, the Inner Bastion houses command staff, administrative war coordination, and Sith meditation chambers. Holo-consoles track fleet movements across the sector, while encrypted war tables plot troop deployments. The walls are lined with stacked tactical reports, war trophies, and Sith war relics—some of which still radiate dark energies.

A central war-room, sunken into the basalt, contains an obsidian throne where Darth Virelia conducts high-level briefings. The throne is engraved with the motto: "Endure, then rule."

Hangar Tertius:
Fort Avarice's Hangar Tertius is a heavily shielded subterranean flight bay dug directly into the side of Morrigal's volcanic ridge. It features multiple modular launch tubes, each wide enough for dropships, atmospheric skiffs, and Sith Interceptors. Emergency hangar doors are mag-sealed and rigged with plasma-cut protocols should any unauthorized entry be attempted. It also holds repair pits, weapon racks, and on-site crew quarters for rapid-response deployment teams. Sith alchemists occasionally experiment with hybridized living ships here—though most are deemed too unstable for full deployment.

Chamber of the Wyrm:
A featureless, scorched arena near the far western ridge of the fortress, The Chamber of the Wyrm was originally excavated as a quarry, but converted into a ceremonial courtyard for one purpose: the dragon. Pillars carved with draconic motifs mark the perimeter, and a shallow altar of melted obsidian rests at its center—both a symbol of reverence and a psychological cage. While there are anchor points for heavy chains and siphoning pylons, they are mostly ornamental; Virelia designed the space not to contain Cin Cin , but to invite him.

The sky above is left open and unshielded—should the dragon choose to leave.

The Avarice Forge:
Hidden deep beneath the lowest tier of Fort Avarice, the Avarice Forge is a place where industrial might and Sithcraft merge. Forges belch fire into the cold stone halls, operated by armored engineers, black-robed warpriests, and enslaved artificers. The smell of ozone and alchemical reagents pervades the air. Here, weapons of war are made not just with science, but with intent—each etched with runes to ensure loyalty or terror. Battleplate, siege engines, and ceremonial blades alike are cast in metal and sealed with ritual. The more sensitive projects, such as prototype Sithspawn warframes, are housed in sealed arcane crucibles, protected by kinetic wards and blast doors.

The Bleeding Library:
An ancient, hexagonal chamber sealed behind obsidian gates within the fortress's underbelly, The Bleeding Library was unearthed during Fort Avarice's excavation. It predates the modern fortress and appears to have once been a proto-Sith monastery. The walls bleed black ichor where the stone was carved too deeply, and the architecture resonates with unsettling whispers. Tomes, stone tablets, and Force-sensitive holocrons are held within, most bound or caged by alchemic restraints. Some shelves are built from fused bone. Virelia allows only a select few to enter, and even her presence is usually brief. The air here tastes of old blood and cold stars.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Built in the days following Darth Virelia's claim over Morrigal during the Velgrath campaign, Fort Avarice rose swiftly—ordered into being with Sith efficiency and enforced through sheer will. Its construction was overseen by Virelia herself, using a combination of military engineers, Force-sensitive architects, and imported labor from the local cults and warbands.

The site was chosen for its proximity to an undiscovered Dark Side Force presence running beneath Morrigal's crust—which Virelia intends to tap for her own purposes. A Sith ritual during the final day of construction bound the fortress to her will. Already, its walls pulse faintly with corrupted power, subtly warping the minds of those stationed here for too long.

Fort Avarice is not merely a staging ground. It is an ideological monument. A black cathedral of war, built to prove that the Fourth Legion's dominance is not a dream—but an inevitability.

Its future is not in question. Only who survives to see it.
