Question Force techniques and Holocrons

Heya! might be an obvious question but I figured it's better to ask ahead of time.

I want my character to make a holocron one day that teaches some of the techniques she uses to spice up existing force powers. Using Pyrokinesis to hide her movements by creating a curtain of fire, using Force Lightning as a precise bolt of electricity instead of the usual spread or storm, throwing one's saber like a dart instead of a whirling frisbee, etc. etc.

Do things like this count as new force powers, earning themselves a ban from the codex, or could they be labeled as alternate use of existing powers?

“This is my watch. And I do not turn away.”

I did that. Good thinking

Making new force powers is not allowed. However writing how an individual character uses a specific force power or aspect of it, is allowed in a case by case basis. Which is judged in the Codex. A very good example of this would be "Way of the Monolith." in which a force user applies different force abilities in a combat state and how its applied when used.

You're welcome to describe a force tradition or describe how your character might have accomplished a certain feat in the Force but the moment I see people making up nicknames and spells like it's Dungeons and Dragons I'm going to pull it.

I should not see "Magic Missile!" being tossed around or a thousand new "witches spells" coming about. Those are all Force abilities just given a new name... Which we can't do in the Codex.

When it comes to a holocron context is taken into account, however, the same rules apply. If you think it's going to cross the line I'd suggest veering away from it.
