For We Are All Sinners

Legacy Station
Just outside the galaxy, and the Shadow Realm.
Aboard the station, Romeo called this his second home. Nearly a system away was the Shadow Realm where home really was. It was there he conducted all his work, but this was a place of calm demeanor. Taking a breath in, Romeo found himself in need to speak with Kay about real business, those businesses, Covetous Enterprises. Making his way to the shuttle that would take him to the Ryuk, Romeo found himself taking off. A message was sent to the woman that he was making his way to the Silken Asteroids to discuss further plans on taking root with the businesses as a whole instead of singular entities.

On board, Frecker followed his lord, watching each of his moves. He could tell Romeo felt off, that something was on his mind. "Frecker, if I told you I was sith, what would you do?" So this was what was bothering him, Romeo was finally accepting who he was. Frecker bowed to the lord. "The Blood Knights have always followed the Lord of Sins, no matter what his view was. You are the Blood of Vahl, an incarnation of the Goddess' will. You word is law."

Romeo tensed up some at this, it was...almost too sheepish. "Thank you, Frecker. Have the other three come back yet?"

[member="Lady Kay"]

Kay hadn't had much of a chance to talk to [member="Darth Crucifere"] about his companies. As soon as she was given the task of looking after them, she delved right in and saw to it that they were running smoothly. Of course she couldn't visit all of them, given that most were headquartered in the Sith's Capitol. But she at least made contact with them. Not only that, she had utilized her contacts on Commenor to establish access to trading routes and trade contracts. No doubt this was why she was chosen for the job.

A few hours later she reached the rendezvous point, letting Captain Terrac dock The Free Lady. With tea cup in hand and a datapad tucked under her arm, she exited her ship and asked to be taken to Romeo. For some reason, she had an odd feeling that something strange and unexpected was going to happen soon. It might not be today or tomorrow. But soon. Kay pushed that feeling aside as she walked.

Hours had passed, with days till he had reached the Silken Asteroids. Romeo had the Knights take [member="Lady Kay"] to him. "We are surprised you arrived so soon. Lord Sin has only recently returned to the Shadowyards. I must say, though, my lord puts a lot of trust in you." Frecker said as he escorted her. He was Romeo's trusted Sire of the Blood Knights. Frecker's word was only second to Romeo's. Even then Captain Jurikon of the Drakons had little command over Frecker. Romeo was sure that Jurikon was concerned about the instillation of the Blood Knights within the Sin family, his father had not even used them. They had been born by Valtiel, the first Sin, and used all the way up to Crucix father who had retired them for something else.

At his desk, Romeo sipped on coffee as he read through his notes on the darkside, switching between them, and profit from the many companies he had inherited from his father. When the door opened, and Kay stood there with Frecker, Romeo stood up to bow before her. "I'm glad you could make it on such short notice m'lady. I hope the trip was well?" Romeo's red eyes hinted at something hidden deep within him now, something dark and carnal.

Kay bowed her head to Frecker as he greeted her. "I wasn't that far away actually. And thank you. I would hope that trust was a large part as to why he hired me." As she followed him, she sipped her tea, not bothering to hide her Force signature. She didn't need to keep such secrets from them, at least not anymore.

Once they had arrived at [member="Darth Crucifere"] 's office, she bowed her head to him. "Yes, thank you. Though there is no need for you to stand up on my account." She made her way into his office and sat down on one of the chairs near his desk. The look in his eyes did not go unnoticed, nor did the colour of his eyes. "How have you been lately?"

Romeo smiled at the woman, how did she did not find him repulsive, and capable of showing him of any form of respect bewildered him. Kay had been a senator, and a Jedi in hiding. Had it came to it, he would have made sure she could have been made Supreme Chancellor as he knew he could put his faith in her on dealing with the threats all around the Republic. Still, those were no longer possibilities, too much had happen, and now....she had been removed from her senator's position. It had, of course, held back his plans, but this new situation did not require governments and votes. His own government was all that mattered in this.

"I have been...dwelling on things you may frown upon, but I promise nothing too extreme. I have also been thinking...and it's time we expand ourselves Kay. It's time to reach out, and find something more." He moved over to the front of his desk and snapped his fingers. Shortly after, a maid came in with refreshments, tea and caff. A cup was made for [member="Lady Kay"] by the maid as Romeo made his own drink. Each movement he made was calculated, and precise. Even the man's demeanor was more...mature compared to what Kay had last seen of him.

"Kay, what I am about to tell you is very classified. If this information is abused, I will know who did it and they will not be happy with the fruits of their labor I will harvest for them." He turned to look at her with a evil grin.

"Can I trust you with this?"

Kay sipped her tea, raising a brow as [member="Lord Sin"] told her that he was dwelling on things that she wouldn't like. She wondered what that had meant. Her adopted brother often did things that she wouldn't approve of, and he'd often not tell her about them. More than likely this was the same sort of thing.

She smiled a little at the maid and allowed her cup of tea to be topped up. Her attention was brought back to Romeo as he made his veiled threat. That was odd. Since when did he ever need to do that? And since when did she ever abuse anything? Something had happened to make him change and she was unsure of what that was. But maybe it was something that she didn't want to know.

"Yes, you can trust me, you know that. And maybe once you give me more details, I'd have a better understanding of what it is that you sent for me for."

Sipping his caffeinated drink, he took in a deep breath in response to her words. It had not been long since the discovery was made, and yet he almost could not believe it. He touched the ring on his lip again, "I know I can trust you, I just need you to understand how big this is." Romeo moved over to the front of the desk again and leaned against it. His ruby like eyes studied the woman thoroughly before he opened his mouth again. He dismissed the maid, and asked to keep the cart of refreshments. When the made was gone, a datapad gently raised over Romeo's head as and into his hand as he used the Force to bring it to him.

"Kay....we found another galaxy."

Again a raised brow as [member="Lord Sin"] spoke of this being some big thing. She sat up straighter in her chair and watched as the datapad floated over his head and unto his hand. There were times when she would consider such an action to be an abuse of power, but now was not the time to dwell on it.

She remained silent for a moment or two as he told her that he had found another Galaxy. "What do you mean, found? Did you just stumble upon it by accident?"

Her words made him chuckle as he handed her the datapad. "Yea, actually, we did accidentally stumbled upon it. It's all there in that report." His words came cheerful, but serious. The report talked about the spy ray found, and how it's ability to see across the galaxy was turned to look outside the galaxy. Romeo bent his knees so that he was more at eye level with [member="Lady Kay"] as his next words would probably stun her.

"I have preparations to explore this place, but I am not quite ready yet. There are still some things I need, one thing being a more efficient means of hyperspace travel. I have in mind a relay that can increase the rate of time traveled within hyperspace ten fold. It would take days to get to this place with that kind of power, but...it would be well worth it."

Kay took the datapad in her free hand and skimmed through it. The mere idea of another Galaxy seemed far fetched, but it certainly wasn't impossible. Other species came from places that we don't know about yet. It is entirely possible that there are hundreds more, maybe even thousands.

As [member="Lord Sin"] got more level with her, she slowly looked up from the datapad while he spoke. He was planning to go and he had a way to do it. Yet still, was he going to do it? Something told her that there was no doubt that he would. "What is it that you hope to find in this new Galaxy?"

[member="Lady Kay"] made a point, what did he expect to find there? Romeo reverted his eyes from her for a moment to think that through. Then he shrugged. "If I knew what was there, I wouldn't be going now would I? Let's just say something to sate my pallet for curiosity" Romeo stood up and sipped more on his drink, savoring the taste of sweet bitterness. Turning, he looked out the view point, wondering what it was he would find there, his mind wondering to places it shouldn't. "What do you think of all this?"

Kay-Larr

What did she think? Kay watched [member="Lord Sin"] as he looked to the stars outside of the viewport. "I'd say that if you wanted to go, then you should. There's no reason to let others hold you back." She sipped her tea and set the datapad onto her lap so that she could cradle her cup in both of her hands. Her thoughts didn't dwell on the future, but more so pondered on what she didn't know about him. He had changed a lot from what little interaction that she has had with him. Such big changes don't happen without cause or reason. But it wasn't really her place to ask.

Sin ran his hand through his hair in thought as he reached out gently with the Force to feel Kay. Wonder filled the air around her, and he only took one more sip of his coffee. "[member="Lady Kay"], I have been many things, hero, villain, savior and conqueror. But never have I taken on the mantle of Sith. I did not believe in their ways, up until now. I know you want to know, and I will tell you anything you wish to know, simply ask. Today I give you a free pass, but only this once."

The Vahla turned to look back at the woman with a soft smile, and a genuine need to get it all out filled his expression. Something about this woman made him relax, everytime, and he knew it was because Kay did not hold back with him. She was an ally would thought for herself. Much like on Korriban when she spoke of making peace with the Sith. His smiled brightened at this thought. She was brave.

A free pass? Just this once? Kay half wondered why [member="Lord Sin"] was planning on being so restrictive. Maybe it was going to be the last time that they would be alone, and he didn't want others to hear.

She sipped her tea as she mulled over which of the multitude of questions that she should ask first. "What changed your mind about the Sith's ways? Many of them are aggressive and harmful to maintaining a balance in the Galaxy. But not all are that way of course. Some understand the need for balance. Where do you stand on that, now that things have changed for you?"

[member="Lady Kay"]

Sin thought hard on how to best answer what still seemed a mystery to him. There were many ways to put it, but those who did not feel the dark call could not understand some of the reasoning behind why Vahla do what they did. His people are nomadic, and without a leader or home. They saw him as a form of heretic, and thus shunned him.

"Always, I ran from who I was. I feared that if I accepted who I was...accepted this darkness, that it would overcome me. Instead I failed to realize that the Sith Code is to simply follow your heart, and to be true to yourself. I dont need to control the galaxy to be Sith. I just need to be honest with myself, and those around me. Kay...I wish you understood what it is like being born in darkness..always hearing it..."

How did one explain more into it that their blood was the same as the goddess his people worshiped? He did not think he could.

"I have embraced my people's ways, and my heritage...and I feel that I am who I should be. That this is who I am meant to be. I am at a peace of mind."

"It's good to always be true to yourself. I can't do the same just yet, but maybe at some point in the future, I will be able to." She looked down to her tea for a moment. "Darkness scares me and rightfully so. That's it's purpose for someone like me. But it has it's place, I know that, which is why I try to come to some kind of compromise with the Sith, instead of trying to rid the Galaxy of them."

She sipped her tea. Her late husband was a Dark Jedi, and the one that killed him was a Sith Lord. She was used to being around Darkness, but never let it win her over. Instead it gave her strength to remain a beacon of light and hope for others. Her own family history wasn't much. As far as she knew, she was the only Force user among them. Her father was a Moff for the FIrst Order, her mother was a Lieutenant before she passed away and her brother is a Storm Trooper Captain. There was nothing really special about them, including herself. She wasn't super strong in it, maybe just about average at best. But at least she had some skill.

[member="Lady Kay"]

There was much behind her words that Romeo already knew about, a lot more than what he probably should. Kay was safe as long as she stayed on his good side...and that was a fact of fate, she was always on his good side. No matter how much she would lecture him, Romeo found he could not disprove her words. She was, as like any woman, always right, for the most part.

"Unfortunately I do not agree that most of these One Sith and or the Triumvirate should be here...they have no place other than to cause the unbalance of the Force. But...I also do not believe either will be here for too long. It's been a long time coming. What the galaxy needs...is a covenant, a truce between the Sith to understand they can not have it all, but....they can have some of it."

Kay wasn't always right. She had her faults and more often than not, when she was trying to be proactive when it came to the Crime Lords and her rivals, she ended up going about things the wrong way and her plans would crumble at her feet. Let's face it, she just wasn't very strong in strategic thinking.

But what [member="Lord Sin"] had said spoke volumes about his character and let her know that despite this change, he was not lost. Perhaps it was for the better, the way in which it should be. "Yes, and the same can be said for other Governments and organizations as well. They can't have it all, but they can have a part of it. I hope that I can help them to understand that."

With a soft chuckle Romeo let his hand fall out of his hair. Turning to look at [member="Lady Kay"], his smile said he was tired, and that soon he would need to get away from this place. "What we want, and what we get are two different things m'lady. I wish it was otherwise, though. Kay...I am no longer a sword, but a shield. I can not wage war anymore...I do not have the patience for it. There is nothing honorable about it anymore."

She nodded slowly in understanding, or at least for the most part. There was nothing honourable about the wars waged recently, or at least the ones that she knew about. Kay finished her tea and set the cup by her feet. "You could always help me out, whenever you get back from your travels. I'll wait. Maybe you'll find whatever it is that you seek out there in the unknown. But keep in touch and come back when you are able."

That was probably what [member="Lord Sin"] brought her in for. To say goodbye. She hated goodbyes.
