Flashpoint [ CIS Dominion of Mikko ]

Desmond C’artyom eyed the holographic display table before him curiously. The enemy fleet outnumbered them heavily, but for the Imperials this was merely a war of attrition… The Imperial fleet was comprised of twelve Imperial II class star destroyers. Outdated vessels with little to no starfighter defense other than their fighter escorts. The twelve Imperial ships were formed in four groups of three, each group had taken up a triangular wedge. Desmond watched as the enemy launched their own fighters and deemed it wise to do the same.

“Prepare the fighter screens. Have them remain on the defensive,” Desmond uttered these words quietly as he read the tactical readout.

It was as if the Chiss had shut the whole world out, focusing solely on the display before him. As the enemy came into the long range weapons scope, he gave the artillery command a nod.

“Fire when ready,” Des said in his rich Imperial accent.

The city shields went down momentarily as the city's long range Hypervelocity Cannons began firing molten rounds of metal at the Confederate fleet. At the same time the star destroyers opened fire with their own long range heavy weapons. They were prepared to duke it out at long range, so long as the cities hypervelocity cannons remained operational they might yet do some damage. Desmond’s gaze turned to the planet's atmosphere and he recognized the confederates dead drop immediately. There was no way to counter such a barrage without the proper scanners, which they did not have.

“Commence firing the flak cannons,” Desmond ordered and it was accompanied by a salute.

All over the city thousands of AA guns began to open fire. While these ancient guns were line of sight orientated, their were so many of them they were guaranteed to do a number on the Confederate forces. Suddenly the distant sound of exploding flak could be heard echoing from the outside. Desmond smirked as the city's defenses were placed fully online. He turned to the military General and spoke briefly.

“Marshal law is in effect. Troops have orders to kill any who stray into the city streets…”

Out of the corner of her eye, Mara noticed one of the droids slowly power up. She didn't think too much of it since these CIS folks seemed to love to use them. It was an older model, but a capable one. Droids weren't her specialty, but since she was a slicer, Mara had an acquaintance with most. She had gotten used to their presence, like everyone else in this simulation. They were an intergal part of this simulation, people felt better about telling a droid what to do than an NPC, Mara figured. It was less dehumanizing to send a metal thing that didn't look too much like a living avatar than it was to send an NPC. It was the same either way, but it made sense to her.

BX-72967 said:
"Sentient: Mara Rockwell. Your Objective: Assist in disabling city defenses. You will accompany this unit personally."

Mara looked up from her datapad to the BX unit when it said her name. He went into the drop pod and she guessed it was her time to start earning the green stuff.

"Okay, metal daddy," she said rising and following it.

Inside, the door sealed behind her. The lighting was dim, and the seats were not too comfortable, but they would do for now. Mara strapped herself in and placed her pipe between her lips, giving the BX droid a thumbs up when she was done. She sucked on the pipe softly as they began their descent, the sweet mellow feeling of glitterstim in her system settled on Mara. She scanned her datapad some more, looking at Spacetrest despite the fact that she was hurling in a drop pod towards a deadly fire fight. The lighting from her datapad revealed a half-smile on her relaxed face through the darkness.

This was all just a simulation, there was no need for her to be terrified in the least, she thought to herself.

Bella was lounging in a chair watching the running and screaming of citizens. She smiled and took a bite, wiping away the red juices of the local vegetable that ran down her chin and arm. It was an interesting sandwich something that she would have to learn more about.

Now where were the troops. She plucked something else from the plate the droid had run off without payment, "well thanks, I love free food" She picked up her drink and downed it.

She was now ready to walk into battle. Objective....let's see. She pulled up the list of things to do in the City. Looked like [member="BX-72967"] and some were going to take on the city defenses. Bella looked ahead oh my..she thought what to do what to do..

She was going to head towards their communications center. Once there she would take control of all city communications. She flipped through the map the path lead that way. Bella headed off, time to be serious.

And so it began Sam seem to mutter to herself under her breath while her ship slightly shudders a bit as all around. Shots were being fired and as far she could tell her ship the Shadow Dawn was just about near entering the thick of the battle. Judging from how thick as it was close as frack the shots were coming. As she looked ahead and seeing some the bigger guns or ships closing in she knew soon enough it was gonna get a lot worse than better. But then again this was a fight and she knew all too well what she was signing into yet here Sam still came.

Knowing all too well what was at stake she knew it was now or never. That if nothing else as she grips the control tight with one hand and adjusted the ship navcom with the other that Sam then was able to somehow maneuver her way out harms way. Just enough that she's able to break free from the thick of the battle in order make it thru to the planet's atmosphere. Where she then signal the smaller shuttle dock at the rear end of her ship thru the com that the coast was clear. That they were good to go and detach in order drop the first round of ground support that was to Rendevous with those already on the ground. Bring with them a couple of crates of weapon or ammo....

Kurayami had taken a few long range shots at fighters who strayed too close while the pods were deployed. Once those were safely away he peeled off, disengaging by using a low yo-yo at high speed. Once his heading was pointed at the drop pod's LZ, he nosed over into a steep, nearly vertical dive. Easing back slowly on the throttles as he entered atmosphere, letting gravity pull him down as he let the throttle rest at half, easing back on the stick to level out a few thousand feet above the ground. Once back level the fact that he had flown through heavy amounts of flak finally dawned on him. That was going to have to go. He did have 3 twin auto blasters and 4 heavy blasters...seemed like good odds to him. Making sure the jammer was at full power was important, even if it only covered a couple kilometers, it would give him the needed space to take out the AA with minimal threat to himself. Once that was done he could focus on the anti-capital ship measures. What he had not counted on was being followed by fighters from orbit.

"Well this is just kriffing fantastic ain't it? Let's see just how good these guys really are."

He made a quick strafing run at nearby aerial defenses, bringing their full wrath towards himself. Outside the fighter, blaster fire and shells blanketed the airspace. Without a solid lock though there was little threat from any guided munitions, and any of the unguided were set to burst either too high or too low. An insane, yet ingenious idea came to him in a rare moment of clarity. Watching the displays he kept an eye on the enemy positions, pulling them closer to the city. He was trying to keep them in hot side lag pursuit, watching as the blaster fire impacted his shields, diverting more and more power to the recharge capacitors. He unexpectedly pulled into the vertical, 90 degrees straight up and once he had altitude advantage, kicked hard on the right rudder, pushing the plane into a flat turn over the top, before rolling 90 degrees and taking a snapshot at one of the pursuing fighters before nosing up slightly to avoid ramming the now wounded fighter. The other had peeled off hoping to put Kurayamii into a bad position if he turned left. The only thing that really bothered the Corellian was that they were low and fast just outside the city itself. One wounded fighter was not a kill, but he wouldn't take him out if he disengaged.

Dropping low on the deck, only a few hundred feet separating him from a flaming ball of slag, he pushed in towards the city, hoping the enemy fighters would bug out. It was not to be though. Both came back around, this time with a distinct advantage in altitude, and began peppering the streets with fire from his twelve and six. This brought him no small amount of comfort as his shields already were a bit lower than he had anticipated. They held, pushing just over half power now, but managing to absorb the shots. He sighed and went knife edge as he pulled in between two nearby buildings. The damaged fighter was already pushing his machine to the limit and the strain from making such a sharp turn brought it over the edge, one wing being torn from it's place as the ship spiraled into the streets below. The other managed to remain behind him, now on his 7 o'clock. Kurayami pulled up and rolled inverted, pulling into a steep dive over the top of a nearby building, heading out of the city limits once more. The enemy followed with little effort it seemed and began to pull into position on his 5 o'clock now, trying to pull lead on Kurayami.

Pushing forward on the stick, Kurayami eased off his turn into an extension, forcing the enemy to overshoot. Pulling back hard he set himself up into a lag displacement roll, ending with him at the enemy's 7 o'clock and after a short bout of maneuvering he managed to get off a solid salvo into the back of the craft, managing to blow of an engine, the opposing pilot did regain control enough to be forced into bellying in at high speed. Kurayami didn't stick around to see if the enemy survived, instead heading back towards the drop pod to resume his original mission.

Arlox watched as [member="Aedan Miles"] started to launch his fleet's weaponry, long-ranged missiles against the enemy and he shrugged at it, saying "Whatever... if he'll make my day easier, I won't complain." his fleet then started to get into range to attack the Imperial Star Destroyers, with Arlox sitting comfortably far back from the space battle in his flagship, he then said "Pull a defensive maneuver, I want the Recusant II-Class Destroyer in the front, make it the highlight for these imps to attack meanwhile the Sikune Battleships will stay behind in a fair distance, firing their heavy long-range turbolasers at the star destroyers." and with that, it seems the official battle had begun. Arlox couldn't tell where Aedan's missiles gone towards, but he didn't care.

Soon enough however, a sudden surprise had come when a round of shots had managed to land on the Recusant II-Class Destroyer from the surface, luckily the ship shields were able to help protect it but some damage was sustained according to the reports that had come in. Arlox then ordered the ship to keep it's hull towards where the HVC fire was coming from, and when the next round of shots had hit it, it didn't take as much damage, thankfully because of the Matrix Armor and Damage Reduction Armor built on the hull, Arlox believed they had a brief amount of time for whoever's manning the HVC to realize it's not damaging the Recusant that easily, it was still a bold move on Arlox's part however as the Recusant is building up damage from the amount of fire it's receiving.

Arlox received reports that far more fire had started to come from the surface and this time, it wasn't the HVC but a numerous amount of AA fire was reported to be heading straight towards Arlox's fleet. He then said "Sikune Battleships, fire at the enemy Star Destroyers! destroy them quickly and then we'll deal with the surface's resistance." but a massive amount of AA rounds managed to land towards the Recusant, with some of it also hitting the Sovereign-Class Heavy Cruisers but they still kept their ground, the Recusant is now under serious damage and Arlox was made aware of this, but he shaked his head and said "It's just one ship, were not losing the entire fleet because of it." the Sikune-Class Battleships then started to fire their heavy long-range turbolasers towards the nearest triangular wedge of enemy Star Destroyers, meanwhile the Recusant and the Sovereign-Class Heavy Cruisers are under turbolaser fire from the Star Destroyers, while Arlox's fleet is chewing up the main damage, he's hoping that fellow allies will take advantage to either take care of the city shields and stop those AA guns, as well as the HVC's or flank the Star Destroyers and wipe them out efficiently.

Orion stood at the front of the bridge, his droid, Aut-V standing beside him. Orion watched as all the different groups began their attacks, launching their fighters and opening fire on enemy ships. Explosions, collisions, epic dogfights, bombing runs. The all out battle was beginning, and it was time for Orion to run his attack. He turned to Aut-V, his arms crossed. "Launch the bombers. Order our fighters to protect them. Target the Imperial star destroyers, particularly the command ship."

"Yes Sir" Aut-V responded, sending out the command.

Orion's hatred of the Imperials was slightly showing, and his main target was going to be [member="Desmond C'artyom"] ships, hoping to wipe them all out before they have an opportunity to escape, or do any damage to him. As the Hyena-class bombers launched, Orion got another idea. "Commander, prepare a boarding party."

"Sir?" Aut-V responded.

"Do as I command!" Orion snapped back.

"Yes sir" Aut-V responded, sending the command to the hangar. Orion smirked. He would take the opportunity to board the Imperial command ship if he could.

Tuning out the sounds around her was the easy part. Her eyes fixed on the potential targets walking along the capital city's walls, she was determined not to let a single one out of her sight. With a shift of her weight, moving onto her right elbow, she adjusted the focus on her scope and turned the barrel to line up with the road into the heir's camp. It was a rarely used road, but it's direct connection to the capital made it the optimal route to reach the heir directly. Though it was a fool's errand to take that approach.

And yet, as she was ready to turn her attention back to the city wall, she spotted a small pod of troops moving in what they likely presumed was cover. Drawing in a breath, pushing out the sounds that were booming from the growing battle overhead, she slid a hand along the barrel of her verpine and lined it up perfectly with the first. With a squeeze of the trigger, and a shift of her foot for balance, she fired a single shot at and through the soldier and into the one behind them. It was a clean shot, but potentially quite bloody as the first fell back into the second.

Shaking her hair out of her face after the kick, she readjusted the rifle and fixed it on the next two remaining soldiers. However, before she pulled the trigger, she observed the survivors enter a panic. After what felt like a minute of desperate searching for what had struck their comrades they turned and began to make their way back to the capital.

It was a notion that was in folly however, as as soon as they lined up in her sights on their path she lined up her rifle with the back of the closest and let a shot fly. A shot that cleanly tore through them both and left them dead and unable to send any message to their superiors. No message but that they would not be returning.

Taking a moment to check the cartridge of her rifle, the mercenary settled the rifle back on the guards on the wall. The sooner they were down the sooner the ground forces could enter unchecked.

And with that said Shadow Dawns smaller shuttle detached from the main ship as it then changes trajectory. Thought to keep to the main ship shadow, for the most part, it slowly maneuvers to avoid most of the ground defense as it slowly bye seems expertly weaving in and out of its range. And leaving the takedown of said defense to the guns of the main ship piloted by Sam. Who at that time was both providing cover to it as well standing in to provide ground recon using its long-range scanner and beaming an encoded transmission of it thru the CIS channel.

While it then slowly made its way further down into the planet atmosphere hail those of the CIS already on the ground. The suit was a standard issue CIS trooper, hardly at par with his custom battle armor but it would have to suffice for now. Screens flicked to life on his HUD as battle chatter filled his ears with the progress of various units.

“This is Yellow One Actual on the ground, heading to the rally point. ETA 20 minutes, maybe less. Do you copy over?” Even as he spoke, the Sith was already boosting his natural speed and agility with the Force, making him a much harder to hit target on the battlefield raging throughout the city.

Bane would race towards the rally point, not bothering to engage with hostile forces unless they completely blocked the way. Should that he the case, he would utilize his Force Tentacles to batter and barrel his way like an overgrown bull raging through a shop filled with delicate bone china.

She wasn't much with a blade these days she had a lot going on in her life and right now finding an avenue to let it out was the wisest decision she had ever made. Aggressive Assistance was right up her alley.

She looked down at the map then slid it back into her pocket the most direct route was straight. She slowly walked along trying to fade into the background until a soldier turned a corner and looked right at her. She smiled with the smallest nudge she told him Your wife is at home waiting for you, You should go.

He stared at her for a moment she thought ut oh he's force dead. His eyes dropped to the walkway and his cheeks turned red whatever he was thinking made him blush. He stepped back though nodded to her pivoted on a heel and ran the other way.

Well Bella thought. Shaking her own head she continued on her path until she came to a cross roads and parked in the middle of it a few troops with air speeders. hmmm...she arched a brow...I could use one of those.

He watched from the safe space of the Intrepid's bridge as the unknown Chiss Commander began to batter his way into the CIS Fleet. "Well then.." The man stated, pausing. "I guess that means: "No." He pondered the scene for a moment, watching as the other Admirals began their barrage on the sad fleet. "Launch fighters, but keep them tight to our ships. Although I know we have more than enough armament to crush these outdated beasts, I don't want to let it get too crowded in the front for our other friends."

"Commander [member="Arlox"] - I would push my forces forward, but it seems that you and Mister Trex have started your bombardments. As soon as these forces are eliminated, I'll pull in the troops transports. Until then - I can offer some strategic advantage, as the Intrepid is far out of the way of fire." He pushed his spectacles back into place, observing the field of battle. The Imperials were hopelessly outnumbered, and even the petty Mikonians would not help them this day.

And soon enough that the fight soon began to become a tad bit more interesting as once they broke free into the top planetary layer as they close in little by little to the inner planetary space level. Enemies: Allies of the younger son

With the Crimson Shadow safely docked and locked away at the city outskirts, Katrine headed into the city on the Kybuck Speeder bike, over her outfit the red cloak gifted after the Ryloth adventure, and her lightsaber hilt and slugthrower at her belt. From what Katrine had understood, two brothers were fighting for the throne, one of them their friend and the other one not which made things very simple. The brother she was looking for was outside the city but the thing she needed first was inside the capital city which made the adventure quite a bit interesting.

Katrine was headed somewhere special though, feeling the pull towards a particular location. A few more Mandragora would be present as well, from what Katrine already knew, her eyes used to avoid obstacles but the Force meant to guide her to where she really needed to go. When she could not no longer drive, she came to a stop and parked the bike to collect it later, moving on foot through the streets. Her hand moved to her hilt, hidden behind the cloak, expecting some trouble along the way. In no way did her clothes identify her as a supporter of any side which could either work completely in her favor or backfire if coming face to face with one of the younger son's troops. She turned the corner and found no trouble, moving slowly still. The Force was still leading her to where she needed to go.

"Who goes there?" A voice suddenly interrupted her. Katrine stopped her movements and inhaled a deep breath before she turned. A soldier. "Hey, I seem to be a little lost. Could you maybe tell me where the elder son is, you know, the rightful heir?" That struck a nerve, a small smirk keeping to her face as the man draw on his blaster. "Allya, ascoltami. Proteggermi da quello che viene a modo mio!" She muttered underneath her breath in the time it took him to draw and fire, the air in front of her beginning to shiver in a mix of white and soft blue, barely noticeable under certain angles. The blaster struck against seemingly thin air, causing a ruffle against the energy protecting her, startling the soldier. He fired a few more rounds, as if he could break the shield Kat had created. He could, eventually though he seemed convinced he couldn't when he put the weapon aside and charged at her.

If Kat had the actual time to think it through, she would have paid closer attention to the fact that her shield was no longer a stronger purple as it had once been. The last time she had cast it had been to protect herself and her cousin against Avarisa, altering even the words to ensure their safety. The curse had still been upon her then. Now though, she didn't have time, instead, crouching quickly as she concentrated, sending the Force onto her legs before she'd jump into the air, the shield vanishing at her action. The soldier ran past where she had been, her body turning mid-air as she draw her saber, igniting the simple blue hiss blade. The soldier was quick though, halting himself and turning around, though he didn't expect her waiting him with the weapon, cutting through abdomen, piercing through his weak armor before landing solidly on her two feet. He stopped, the burning flame obvious indication before he had fallen to the ground.

Once done with him, she deactivated her blade returning it to its place at her belt before she continued, the pull growing stronger as she continued walking, listening to the call. When she arrived at the entrance, it hit her like a gush of wind, forcing her feet to come to a halt as it washed over her, her senses unable to tell anything else. "I hear you," she muttered as she tried to open the heavy doors. They were thick and rusty. Kat tried fiddling with the doorknob before her palms touched against the old wood, realizing it wasn't just rust, it was magic. "It's a test," Katrine realized suddenly and exhailed a deep breath. There was only one spell that could account for the strength imbued by magic.

Her palms pressed against the doors completely, her eyes closing as she concentrated again. This particular spell wasn't just plain words or just a short chant, it was a song. And every song had words, words that came from inside the casters mind once a link was established. "Bring me power, bring me strength, guide me through this simple test. Bring me power, bring me strength, guide to through me through this quest. Bring me power, bring me strength, see me for what I really am...," the young Witch sang quietly, keeping her focus on the task at hand. If anyone had snuck up from behind her in that exact moment, Katrine wouldn't have noticed.

Repeating the words melodically, she sang, feeling her strength building up from within her, her hands beginning to push against the doors. When the power grew to its fullest, she continued pushing until she felt the doors open, opening a few inches. Her eyes opened, pushing the heavy doors all the way through, finding the dusty old room filled with cobwebs and no light, except for the small cracks in the ceiling offering just enough lighting for her eyes to notices the surfaces inside. Kat pushed the doors back, closing them until they would no longer budge, leaving a small crack between them.

Back turning from the entrance, the blond continued further in, slowly stepping inside. The presence was strongest here. It seemed to take her breath, forcing her into a kneel as she came into the center of the room. Once her knees touched to cold stone, she realized there was a marble curcle around her, with small symbols around it. Her fingers passed against the symbols, not recognizing them though they reminded her of the way they put down their prayers down in Paecean in sacred places, giving her a clue into what was expected of her. "Presence, spirit, summoner. Speak to me, I plead thee," she chanted once, twice, thrice, repeating word for word each time.

What seek you? A voice boomed into her mind, her eyes closing at the on spoken commend. "I seek an audience." The voice fell silent and then everything else did as well. Once already, she had been taken from her body to where she spoke beyond this world. This time, Katrine recognized the feeling as she was taken beyond.

Tilting her head in thought Bella considered all options to her. Openly attack. Sit and wait for them to leave. Or..play a role. She smiled she hadn't played a role in a while perhaps here she could use that ploy without ever firing a shot, or taking her lightsaber out.

She smiled her prettiest toothy smile and headed towards the soldiers. Immediately they snapped to their feet lifting their weapons as the aimed them at Bella. She lifted her hands showing them to be empty. "HI. I'm lost and confused."

Confused isn't that what they would think? Maybe.

"There's outbreaks everywhere and I'm not sure where to go to be safe." She nodded her head like a bobble hoping to give them a false sense of her purpose.

"You should go home." The one on her right spoke Oh he must be the leader

"I can't." Why? she thought what was a good reason, "they are fumigating my place today for...." at the moment she drew a blank, "bugs" It worked right bugs. "I start a new job today at the communications center, and I don't know how to get there. Plus I'm afraid" She tried not to laugh just then.

They had not dropped their weapons yet. The barrels still were aimed in her direction perhaps they weren't buying her act. She didn't want to hurt them really, they were just following orders.

"Can you..help me?" She stopped about 5 feet from them not wanting to push their good graces too much, and still hoping that a smile would get her further than her weapon. The moments ticked by Goddess if you're listening some help..please

The fleet battle had continued to rage, with the Sikune-Class Battleships ion barrage hitting all three of the nearest Star Destroyers in a triangular wedge, easily destroying their shields. "Send out all the fighters!" and with that, many starfighters and bombers alike had come out, with 76 Jackal Interceptors, 52 Grunt Starfighters and 40 Hunter Bombers coming out of the Lucrehulk and heading straight for Arlox's fleet, meanwhile 36 Jackal Interceptors, 36 Grunt Starfighters and 4 Hunter Bombers coming out of the Heavy Cruisers, in total Arlox's fleet now has 244 Starfighters.

Soon enough, the fighters and bombers from the Lucrehulk caught up with the rest of the fleet, Arlox then ordered "Send 36 Hunter Bombers to the triangular wedge of Star Destroyers whose shields are down, 12 for each Star Destroyer, use proton torpedoes to destroy them, don't use anymore then 2 proton torpedoes for each Bomber, save some for the rest of the Star Destroyers." He paused for a second, then continued. "Furthermore, all the other starfighters, split accordingly to the other wedges of Star Destroyers and grab their attention, use evasive maneuvers. Sikune-Class Battleships... continue your ion cannon barrage onto the next Star Destroyer wedge and take down their shields, Heavy Cruisers and the Recusant... use your long-range weaponry to fire at the Wedge of Star Destroyers whose shields are down, help the bombers."

He then closed the link to all ships, but then opened up his comlink to the 8 unaccounted Hunter Bombers. "Fly to the surface and take out the city-shields with mag-pulse torpedoes, then bomb the AA guns and the HVC." and with that last order given, all of Arlox's fleet were now at work.

It was a surprisingly quick trip back to the LZ. Had to love the speed advantage a good ship gave in atmo. Admittedly with being as used as he was to working alone, he neglected to pay much attention to comms channels unless he was directly contacted or asked to assist. Did it get him in trouble with squad leaders? Sure, sometimes, but other times his abilities managed to offset some of the insubordination. Once he reached the drop pod, he flew a racetrack pattern for a short duration, and seeing no threats to the crew from the air for the moment, he set off towards the AAA where he had first pulled the enemy at the beginning of the relatively quick engagement.

The jammer was still active and this time he was able to do a more thorough sensor scan as he made a low pass over the area. At least he now had target locations and numbers. While this would present an issue to him the bigger threat as of now was the HVC's that could pound on the naval forces with impunity. Or so they thought.

::Yellow 13 to CIS forces and allies. Engaging HVC and surrounding forces nearby drop pod LZ. Will eliminate other targets of opportunity if they present themselves, situation permitting.::

He cut the channel and pushed the throttle full forward as he made his way west of the drop pod LZ to work on disabling the HVC. As expected it was well defended with a large amount of repeating blasters, flak guns, and what looked to be SAM emplacements. His thoughts about SAM sites were confirmed as he got confirmation of a missile launch. His eyes scanned the displays for the launch warning, but there was no confirmation of a launch. The site had managed to ping him though. Then came the distinctive chime that signaled an inbound missile. directly off his nose, about 10 clicks out. Immediately he pulled into a slice turn to the right, his goal was simple, keep the missile on his 3/9 line. It was times like this that he hated combat, and yet the Corellian in him savored the challenge. The only plus was that these missiles tended to have short range due to their use as point defense emplacements so it wasn't too long before the missile would run out of fuel, though the main worry was just making sure to avoid any shrapnel if it was a near miss. As soon as that thought crossed his mind, he noted what looked to be a flying telephone pole pass by him, a few hundred feet above and to his left. Well, looked like the jammer managed to keep him in the clear, if only just.

Now the fun started. That SAM launch had woken up the ground crews and they were throwing what they could at him. He knew that his greatest advantage was in his speed and ability to quickly change directions. Putting these two things to work he started a shallow dive towards the closest targets, eliminating a couple of flak guns on the first pass. He nosed up into a shallow climb and pulled out to a range away from the flak and AAA repeating cannons, making a wide pitch turn to approach the zone from a different attack vector as well as with more altitude. This allowed the run to continue longer that the last one, knocking out one SAM emplacement as well as a couple of the repeating blaster canons and another flak cannon. It was slow work to whittle away at forces like these but it would pay off soon enough. Shields were slowly edging towards needing to recharge, but as long as he could manage to keep them active until taking out the HVC he would be fine.

Dalton Kenway had watched the Confederacy for a while from the outside, and only recently had agreed to help them in their plight from the inside. The galaxy had changed, and was changing rapidly, and action needed to be taken to make a difference. So long as the right sort of people stepped up to take said action, then there was a chance.

Much like Corellia, war had made many places and people a victim. Dalton had seen it first hand and would be damned if he did nothing to help prevent the war-hungry, power-fuelled and greedy dictators out for what they could take. And yes, even sometimes the Jedi needed to have their hands slapped from time to time he was well aware of that.

But today was a new day; he was with ground forces and landing crew to help liberate a city under siege and to take back what belonged to the people. That was were hope could grow again; within the hearts and minds of the people living here, not ousted in war watching all they had stripped away.

The E-11D was slung over his shoulder, his emerald green and black clothing standing out a little from the usual colours. He walked with a few of the troops.

”It’s going to be rough I’m sure, but let the men do their jobs. I’ve seen this sort of thing before. You’ll know when to move.”

As they nodded to the CIS stranger, Dalton nodded and hung back to help collate the forces moving towards the city as others paved a way in. Formerly a General in the CDF, he may not be on Corellia now, but he knew the rules of engagement and how to lead and inspire men.
