Hoth, Outpost Veers
Objective: Don't Freeze to Death
Friends: [member="Kaalia Voldaren"] | [member="Kyrel Ren"]
Companions: Edra, Cin & Paddy (NPCs)
Protection: Valessia's Chrome Guard + 2 Chiss Agents

Valessia's phantom whirred as it approached the army base on Hoth. Edra sighed as she looked at her friend, her charge, her whatever they were. "Take this," she said handing the woman a large combat knight, "might come in handy with all that ice around." The Brentaalian gave her Zabrak a smile, pushing on her tip toes to give her a kiss on the forehead. "You're sweet, now I don't think this will take us that long but you know how things go."

"With you?" Edra questions, "anything."

"Thanks," Val quipped, "Cin, how long is it going to take us to land?"

"Give me a minute ma," the Devaronian woman remarks, "your First Order buddies aren't exactly nice like, you, you know."

A sigh escaped Valessia's lips as she walked into the cockpit, "this is Ambassador Brentioch, I'm here on personal business."

They were practically hovering over the landing pad, and Val had half a mind to just jump down out of her ship. Finally, the tower cleared them to land and apologized for the delay. Even offering a shuttle ride to wherever they needed to go, but for now, this would suffice they needed to gear. The old Phantom had been kept in a pristine condition. Valessia got it when she was sixteen and it was Edra who had acquired it for her, the Imperialist was in love with it and had gone as far as to upgrade the upholstery and have a bar built in. The finest woods from former Empire worlds covered the deck as she strutted down toward the main holo area, "we've landed, Paddy can you fetch my coat?"

The personal droid clinked and clanked from one end of the Phantom to the other, "right away your worship, and dare I say what an honor it is to have the Knights of Ren aboard our own vessel!"

"It is an honor, one I am sure to repay, to our Supreme Leader later," Valessia says with a smile motioning for the Knights to follow her.

Kaalia was amused by the people that came along. It seemed they knew each other well, and their interactions left the trace of a smile on her face. She also noticed [member='Kyrel Ren'] as they boarded the vessel before leaving for Hoth. Their interactions were merely brief, but his presence in the Force never failed to bother her. Nontheless, he was an ally and wasn't going to let that bother show, but the thought did kill the smile.

Shivers overcame Ren as the shuttle door opened. Hoth was definitely not one of Kaalia's favorite planets, preferring warmer climates. She wore a warm coat, which did help somewhat. She let out an innocent chuckle at the remark of it being an honor for them to have Knights of Ren along. "I'm not that special, I'm still just a woman you know? I'm glad to help." She made sure her two lightsabers were properly clipped to her belt, and followed [member='Valessia Brentioch'] out of the vessel.

"Still," the Ambassador remarked, "you do our nation a great service and for that I thank you."

Hoth was a blistering planet of cold, more cold and cold enough that you swore your fingers were going pop right off your body and jump back into the ship. Or at least, Valessia thought so, thankfully Outpost Veers was warm and they were quickly escorted in. She then wondered if the invitation to [member="[/FONT][/SIZE][FONT='trebuchet ms'][SIZE=14px][COLOR=#ff4500]Malok[/COLOR][/FONT][FONT='lucida sans unicode']"] had been received, he'd be useful to have along, harvesting crystals wasn't going to be an easy task even with the help of a fewKnights of Ren. She wore a small ring on her hand that concealed her force aura so that those within the First Order would remain in the dark about her Sith apprenticeship. "Now then, a friend of mine has left us a map to the cave where we can harvest these crystals, he warns me that it'll be a bit of a trip." She says to [member="[COLOR=#1e90ff]Kaalia[/COLOR][/FONT][/SIZE][FONT='lucida sans unicode'][SIZE=14px][COLOR=#1e90ff] Voldaren[/COLOR]"], "we'll need to get enough for our friends in the Corps of Imperial Engineers." Turns out someone there was developing a new type of engine, a fusion core engine that would utilise the properties of lightsaber crystals and not just for their colour, either. Turning over her shoulder, Valessia waved for their SFC friend, a fellow pilot to follow - [member="Sara Lee Jones"], she would be piloting a shuttle from Outpost Veers to the caves, respectively. Cin mentioned something about no smart Devaronian wanting to be out in the freezing cold. A pause as she recalled the young man or rather, Ren that had come along for the ride as well. [member="Boo Chiyo"].

Once everyone had gathered she motioned onward, "once we've gathered permafrost crystals, we'll need to locate lava crystals..."

Some military engineer or something wanted a guide or escort, or something, for Hoth.

Suddenly, being blue wasn't so bad. In fact, the Knights of Ren had practically packed his suitcase for him. All things being equal, this sure seemed like racial profiling. To start with, he was from Coruscant. The whole planet was heated and air conditioned. Environmental weather control out the wa-zoo (note to self: look up what a wa-zoo is...), so it never snowed there. It definitely had never snowed in the lightless reaches of the Undercity.

Still, apparently being Pantoran meant he was 'sposed to be some astral winter survivalist.

The conditions here were too cold for speeders, which meant his swoop was out of the question. Not without a major, and I mean major overhaul. Which, he wasn't about to front. Not on his allowance, anyway. Installing a block heater alone would screw the balance to kark all. And the power requirements for the heater, or even keeping the heater operational in the sub-zero conditions pretty much meant that doing this the lazy way was out of the question.

So what was the question?

The question was... how the Hutt does somebody ride a snowboard?

Because that's what he had to work with here. A snowboard. For great justice. Or the Supreme Leader. Or for Great Leader's Supreme Justice... whatever. After awhile, those recruiting adverts all started to blend together in his head.

He had a point. Where was he going with all this?

"I'll go scout around," the child remarked aloud. Did he know what he was doing? No. Should he know what he was doing? He was eleven, and not very knowledgeable about such things. So... no. Did he even know how to ride a snowboard? Should he have at least downloaded a HoloNet video?

...well, he had downloaded a HoloNet video. It was the Vines Snowboarding Fail Compilation (Try Not To Laugh), which was not exactly instructional. But it had been funny.

At least the boy didn't have to worry about being the next entry on the fail memes. Not unless a Snowtrooper was packing a HoloLink with HD camera recording.

...

Yeah, he was probably gonna make HoloTube later...

First Order Planetary Defense Forces

Location: Outpost Veers
Objective: Transfer to Bespin
-------------------------------------
Looking around one final time the outpost, his home for the longest time, Garett felt a bit of sadness. Though he was being transferred to someplace warmer and "nicer", this place still felt like home. Walking to the hanger door to step outside, looking around at the defenses outside the outpost, everything he worked for was here, but the Army needed him else where now. Walking back in he could see some faces that weren't 242nd Armored Battalion in the base, though this wasn't anything to be worried about, but it wasn't something that was normal as well.

Shortly after @Valessia Bentioch's entrance into the Outpost, a series of heavy thuds would sound outside. They grew louder - drew closer - until the doors slide open to reveal the Behemoth. He was flanked by a squad of his finest men: Ma'alkerrites just the same as he. As the other Apprentice of Darth Prazutis, Malok felt it proper to extend his services to the ambassador at large. In turn, he recently received an invitation to Hoth to provide security and physical assistance for their current endeavor. Although a far cry from their usual line of work, ApeX gladly accepted.

Now, typically speaking, Malok would have liked to have flown in with his client. However, the nature of her transportation was...ill-equipped for a squad of seven-foot-ape-men. So, they flew in on their own and arrived only minutes following the first group.

The Behemoth entered first, with Grond resting over his shoulders. It took a pronounced duck to enter the door, but fortunately the resulting ceilings were high enough to accommodate.

"Ambassador Brentioch, my men and I are at your disposal."

Objective: Go to the Caves

With the party gathered, the Ambassador leads them into the Outpost. Boo being Boo has gone off with his snowboard. Malok's figure is somewhat imposing but it's clear that the Ma'alkerrite and the Brentaalan have had some acquaintance with each other. "Permafrost crystals," is the first thing that Valessia makes mention to an officer, "Ambassador Brentioch, Knights of Ren and Malok." She gestures toward the ape. The officer nods and moves, double timing it to get what was requested. "This should be a routine trip, and if anything happens - I'm sure we're all more than capable of handling ourselves."

"This way." The Officer says taking the party down toward the shuttles, "suits have been prepped and some gear for the trip, and your shuttle is down that way. Good luck Ambassador, Knights... Malok."

Cold suits, a carbine or two should the need arise, but Malok wasn't alone he had brought his own squad. Val eyed them for a moment and looked over at her guards, she would take them as well if anything they would serve as good cannon fodder. If, if the need were to arise, Hoth while seemingly desolate was quite dangerous. Weather notwithstanding many a creature laid hidden beneath the ice and snow, waiting, preying on those who crossed their paths. Valessia grabs what she needs from a set of lockers and chests organised by the men of Outpost Veers, a small shuttle was prepped and waiting. Sara Lee Jones would be piloting the shuttle for them, boarding the shuttle she hands the coordinates to her. "Here, light up the navcomputer. Weather is supposed to be good today, but if a sudden blizzard occurs. We'll be good."

"Ambassador!" Another officer, this one a younger man - shouting as he runs. "Ambassador!"

Valessia sighs making her way to the back, "looks like there's enough room for everyone." She mentions to Malok, while descending to meet with the officer. "What's wrong?"

"We've lost contact with a communications post near the caves, think you could look into it while you're out there?"

Nodding she agrees, "alright, we'll look into it and contact you once we're there." Heading back up into the shuttle, "slight change of plans, Veers has lost contact with a comms post between here and the caves. Want us to look into it, hopefully, it's nothing - still."

"Everyone ready?"

Meanwhile.

A group of aggressive wampas take note of the snowboarding Pantoran.

There were a good amount of unfamiliar faces, with the imposing presence of the Ma'alkerrites dominating the room. Kaalia wasn't too bothered; it seemed they knew some others quite well and they would be of great help. She gave a nod to everyone around, revealing an innocent smile. The group was led to the outpost, where the young woman donned one of the cold suits. She left the carbines alone, as the Ren's shot left much to be desired. They would be more useful in the hands of the others. Kaalia was going to stick with her lightsabers.

[member='Valessia Brentioch'] then mentioned comms going down in a post near the caves. It was slightly worrying, but there was no point in getting caught up in it. Would anything go bad, then that would be a bridge they'll cross when it happens. Time to get going.

The life of an eleven year old was not for the faint of heart.

Sitting on the snow-covered embankment, the Pantoran worked studiously at fitting his boots into the bindings. But for the thickly gloved fingers, that proved to be the easy part. The hard part was standing up.

The boy got up to an awkward ninety-degree angle before the board flipped on its side, depositing his butt back into the snow. Second and third attempts at getting off the ground failed to launch. Finally, the boy hugged his knees, pitching himself forward before rocking upward. Balancing precariously, the boy was trying to find his footing within the confines of the bound boots as he stood atop the board.

Then it flipped on its other side, planting him face-first into the snow.

Pushing himself up on his hands and knees, the boy pulled himself upright again. Arms flailing, the blue-skinned youth performed a series of arm circles backward, then forwards, then dropped his posture slightly as he balanced himself on the board.

Achievement Unlocked:
Get on the snowboard.

Well, this was progress anyway.

Now, he just needed to start actually snowboarding. Shifting from side to side, the child shimmied the nose of the board toward the sloping edge of the embankment. So long as he could remain upright, this was just a matter of sliding down a hill, right? How hard could that be?

Sliding off the ledge, the Pantoran felt a momentary rush as gravity took hold and the board was gliding over the powder. The moment proved to be short-lived, however, as he pitched his weight forward and the nose bit down into the snow.

The board stuck.

The Pantoran was propelled into the air.

...and gravity pretty much took it from there.

Tumbling butt-over-head, the child had alternating views of the ground and the sky, before skidding out to the bottom of the hill on his back. The answer to his earlier question apparently being: this chit was harder than it looked.

Pushing himself up on on his elbows, the boy looked down at the board with a frown. Then, his yellow eyes flickered off to one side. An empty region where the horizon was unseen for the snow flurry-induced fog. The was something there.

Something... predatory.

"-tt-" the child uttered, the click of his tongue betraying his embarrassment and anger at the prospect of anyone watching him flail about. Struggling back to his feet, the child swayed as he got his balance again.

As he did, an otherwise innocuous gesture of one arm, stretched out to aid his balance, masked the simple gesture of depressing a button flush against his palm. As he did, a cylinder attached to the gauntlet he wore between his shirt and jacket sleeve fired a magnetic dart off into the fog.

Perhaps that would serve as a warning to whatever was hunting in the shadows.

For the shadows were home to many predators...

Sara performed her preflight checks, everything seemed to dial in correctly, engines warmed up, she checked the comms and nodded, perfect to the base. She gave a smile as she looked back

alright folks, next stop the cold snow!

She slowly lifted up and out, the cold air net the ship, she guided the ship carefully through the cold, she was glad for the cold weather training

She looked back, she was curious as to what they were here for....so she figured she could ask

so uh if you don't mind me asking maam, might I ask what bring yall out so far, I'm kinda curious

Just typical, ain't it? Everyone's here on a specific mission and it's always the kid in the group that runs off to have fun. Let's be transparent: Jarven would have done the same thing at Boo's age. Now, it was Jarven's turn to realize how much stress that kids put adults through. Especially since that particular kid didn't have the advanced sensor technology required to take note of the previously recorded indigenous predator paths and conveniently timed Wampa rush that was taking place near Boo's coordinates.

You see, outside of aggressive reproduction, Wampas didn't just travel in packs out of willful volition. They were loners through and through until they got horny. However, they are competitive. And by competitive, we mean that they all tend to get hungry around the same time and race each other through the same pathways to search and hunt down sources of food. They may be together, but they were definitely at odds with each other throughout.

Boo had decided to stray near that which should not be strayed towards and it was Jarven's unofficial duty to play babysitter/clean up artist. He scratched his nose one last time before he put the helmet back on and ejected from the side of the recon transport shuttle that was making rounds in the air to ensure bird's eye safety of the recent hustle and bustle.

__________
The mountainside rushed to greet him, but Jarven wasn't interested in saying "hello". He spread his arms and legs and let the netting between his armored appendages spread out and catch the wind, letting him glide down above the wintry surface of the mountainside. He flew down the mountain until he noticed that his velocity was starting to dip towards unsustainable speed; about the same time the mountain became less steep. Before he lost too much momentum, he flipped forward in mid air, brought his shield down below his feet and ankles and dropped out of the air on top of his new makeshift sled.

He slid down the less steep slopes of snow before he came to the approximate area that Boo last ended. The ground became flat, so Jarven did a back flip off the shield, jettisoning the shield forward and allowing him to defeat some of his own momentum, only requiring him to stumble forward a couple of steps before he came to a standing halt. The shield slid speedily across the snow, ramped off of a nearby snow mound and disappeared. Slightly below their elevation, you could hear the sound of a *CLANG* and a highly upset roar. Soon following the roar, the shield came flying back at tremendous speed, but it went high and past.

Like a frisbee, it soon slowed and arced back from the direction it was originally going. Jarven ran a little, intercepted the trajectory and caught his shield. Sliding the shield onto his back, he turned toward Boo, raised them in a body language question of "What now, Sweet Prince?" and then crossed his arms as the sounds of multiple angry wampas grew nearby.

"Crystals," Valessia answered their pilot, "permafrost crystals to be exact."

The shuttle wasn't too shabby, but it was what one would expect for an outpost so far out, dug into the snow. It was white, and covered with a film to help keep the snow from forming along the body. Their next stop would indeed be snow, she turned to Kaalia and Kyrel her primary knights for the mission, Malok would be of help he and his brethren together. She sat for a moment thinking of what would have caused the comms station to go silent. "Corps of Imperial Engineers looking to build a new kind of engine that utilizes lightsabre crystals."

"Volunteered to get them," she remarked, and it was one reason why she was out here. Second, she wanted a crystal for herself to construct her own unique weapon with it, but she would need guidance. That was another story, but for now her focus was on their travels. "How long until we reach the comms station?" She asked [member="Sara Lee Jones"] and then turned toward the knights. [member="Kyrel Ren"] and [member="Kaalia Voldaren"], "when we get out start searching for the team, I'll see what I can do about getting the relay towers back up."

Hostile wampas, at least five now approach [member="Jarven Zexxel"] and [member="Boo Chiyo"].

And thus had further details of the mission been revealed.

Malok and his Ma'alkerrite brethren stood quietly within the confines of the shuttle. They did not remark upon its size or air-worthiness, for even the worst of the Order's shuttles could best their "finest" transport. Indeed it was one of the sore spots of the organization. Although they were coming a long way and getting their name out there, their current state always proved challenging. First came concerns over lodgings, now transportation. It was enough to cause untold sums of stress to fall upon the shoulders of the ApeX Commander. However, the confident gaze upon his face did not betray these worries - nor did his strong posture.

To show worry...to display weakness...meant to undercut the strength of ApeX.

And as Commander, that would Never do.

"We will accompany you, Ambassador."

The Behemoth volunteered the direct support of he and his men...in such a tone that disagreeing was not exactly on the table. He then offered the woman a nod of confidence before awaiting the eventual descent into snow.

The boy felt a bit like he was watching a ping pong game.

First a sled or... something had gone flying by.

Then it had come flying back. Then this guy had caught it from out of mid-air. And now he was making some kind of gesture, though the young Pantoran was completely oblivious to what he was trying to convey. Honestly, Boo was more impressed by the fact that he'd just caught the sled-shield from out of mid-air. How cool was that?

...slightly less cool were the five hulking shadows that were growing more hulking and less shadow-y with each step closer.

The boy started to move, which was when it registered that his feet were strapped down to the board. Kneeling down, the blue-skinned kid worked to un-do the straps and bindings that secured him down.

[member="Jarven Zexxel"] | [member="Valessia Brentioch"]

"Sounds like a plan. Let's do this thing, I'll be right behind you." Kaalia nodded at Valessia. She was geared up and ready to go, waiting for the group to start moving. She moved a bit closer to the woman in charge. "I do have to ask though, but surely it wouldn't be a problem if I take a crystal for myself? Only if there are enough for the people who need it of course, the mission is more important than personal gain." the redhead said with a curious tone. A permafrost crystal would prove to be very valuable to her, but she still had little influence within the First Order. The Ren didn't question why they travelled to Hoth to get the crystals, but it mattered little to her. Proving her worth was more important in the young woman's mind, a good reputation would help her immensely.

COMMS STATION: [member="Malok"], [member="Kaalia Voldaren"], [member="Kyrel Ren"], [member="Sara Lee Jones"]

"I don't see why not," she says to the Knight of Ren. "So long as we meet our objectives." Glancing out the shuttle's glasteel she saw the station, and it didn't - it didn't sit right with her. "Set us down here.."

...

"Take the shuttle around the area, tell me if you see anything." Valessia directs the pilot as she and the rest of the team disembark, upon first glance the comms station looks as if it was simply abandoned. Something about this felt wrong and as the Ambassador stepped closer toward the station - toward the tower that laid inert. Something - was very, wrong. "We're being watched," she says to no one in particular and looks around from where she stands. The station was not abandoned, there was a fight - a struggle, and someone attempted to make it look as if it was something else. Food put back into plates with bits of snow, drinks that were warm now iced into the snow where the soldiers once sat. Narrowing her gaze on the tower in front of her she could see the panel not quite back in place, like someone was in a rush to-

PEW-PEW-PRREEWW

The sounds of blaster fire could be heard and Valessia's first instinct was to duck.

Talz. The Talz had been here and they could be seen over a small hill. The Ambassador had to remind herself that she was not at liberty to reveal herself as a Sith and so took hold of her carbine and began to fire toward the Talz. "Knights!"

...
ELSEWHERE ON HOTH: [member="Boo Chiyo"], [member="Jarven Zexxel"]

The wampas now make an aggressive break, three going for Boo and the other two looking to do some damage on Jarven.

Dammit. Nothing's ever simple.

Jarven sprang into action.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BiLjTIeosBk
Using his cybernetic analysis suite, Jarven was able to "see faster" and chart the right angle to throw his shield.

*zzYOOM!*

His shield flew straight towards the direction of the three wampas closing in on [member="Boo Chiyo"]. Like a pinball, it struck the first wampa on the left eyebrow, bounced off the chest of the second wampa and struck the third wampa on the ear before returning towards Jarven. That should buy Boo more time as it slowed their advance, at least a little. He leaped into the air, caught it and then threw it down into the solidly packed snow in front of him. With a *CHUNK!*, it was solidly stuck halfway in the snow.

He ran forward, jumped, jumped again off the side of the stuck Kyuzo shield and shot his grapple hook launcher at one of the two wampas coming for him. It stuck firm in the chest of the wampa, much to the creature's screaming pain and anger. He activated the line right quick and went zooming towards the wampa. His pistol was in his left hand and flicked to auto as he flew through the air and landed, standing, on the wampa's chest, having the firm grapple line providing the necessary support to do so.

The force of his impact caused the wampa to stagger back. It was all the opportunity he needed to stick his pistol in the wampas face and unleash a fully auto barrage of blaster bolts. He activated the slack as he kicked off the dead wampa, but he couldn't retract his grapple line because the head of it was still stuck inside the now dead wampa. The second wampa hadn't been too far behind, but now it was within swiping distance.

As Jarven turned to run, a mighty paw clubbed his back, propelling him over the snow back towards where his shield was. The sound of *visssss* could be heard as his line let out more and more slack the further he traveled.

As he got back to his feet, he turned his head to see how Boo was faring.

Been awhile since this popped up in a Boo post...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-4SWcHm90X0
As he was undoing the bindings, something shot overhead.

Not from the direction of the wampas. This passed from right-to-left, and the wampas were approaching from the left. Glancing up, he instinctively looked off in that direction, before turning and looking instead back at [member="Jarven Zexxel"]. Which was when he realized that it was the shield again.

As his last boot came free, the young Pantoran stepped back and then dipped his toe underneath the edge of the snowboard. Kicking the board up from the ground, the young assassin demonstrated the Crystal Snake variant of Teras Kasi as he spun it up into the air, turned, hit it with the back of his heel, and sent the board flipping up into the face of the first wampa to approach.

As he came around the turn, the boy doubled over. Both hands and arms drawn inward and up in a 'gathering water' motion. Like a snake striking from out of its coils, his right arm came out - toward the left at first, then sweeping sharply right. The wrist charric on the right bracer ignited, spewing a 10 meter plume of flame in a blossoming arc of as his arm swept through the air. While startling to the two wampas further out to the sides, the blast caught the first wampa nearly full blast, immolating the beast.

At the same time, the sound of the miniature flamethrower igniting masked the hum of the left bracer's plasma projector powering up.

As his right arm swept back and up, the youngling stepped off to the side - around to the right of the flaming, flailing wampa whose roars of terror and pain were beyond ghastly. Guttural. Visceral. Not at all unlike other moments in which he'd witnessed people burned to death in the fire. It seemed a terrible way to die.

Not that there were all that many good ways to die...

As he stepped out and around, the boy brought his left hand out - as though in a palm-heel strike. As he did, the projector on the left bracer fired, sending a burst of plasma out toward the second wampa. The shot expanded as it traveled, growing larger and expanding - though losing power the more distance it traveled - until it would dissipate into the atmosphere if it went further than 20 meters.

Plasma projectors were unwieldy to aim, but extremely potent at close range. As someone who'd been entrusted with disposing of remains, there typically had not been much for the boy to dispose of as a result.

That had used components from both his right and left bracers. As the two devices timed out, a necessary safety precaution to allow the power cells to recycle and cool before being used again, the Pantoran stepped back and to the side as his eyes scanned for the third wampa.

He didn't see it at first, then it came flying over the smoldering, smoking form of the downed wampa.

The behemoth creature crashed down upon the snow, the boy backflipping out from where the beast landed with barely a half-second to spare. The boy planted his feet, and brought his arms up... but a back-handed sweep from the wampa struck him from the side and the child found himself propelled through the air.

[member="Boo Chiyo"] (I'm sorry. I didn't get the notification)

Dayum. Kid knew what he was doing. It swelled his Gank heart with pride to see someone so young be able to dispatch terrifying monsters with horrifying immolation techniques. The way he flowed around the battle made Jarven beam with happiness on the inside.

Anyway, big scary monster to deal with.

He double jumped using his boot boosters, grabbed the wampa's head as he went over him and activated the grapple's rapid retractor function. Altogether, it allowed him to RKO the wampa like a boss. As soon as they both hit the snow, the line kept pulling him, so he slid quickly across the snow, away from the wampa, until he came to the dead wampa's body. He yanked the grapple hook loose from the dead body, let it fully retract into his wrist launcher and spun around to get a bead on his wampa target.

It was up and lumbering quickly over to him, but not quite at a charging pace. Jarven pulled out his vibro dirk and charged at the monster. He combat rolled between his legs when they got close as the wampa tried to lunge and grab him with both hands. He came out of the roll and sliced both legs of the beast. Before the wampa could turn around, he double jumped and plunged the vibro dirk into the back of the beast's neck. It screamed an unholy scream. He tightly held onto the blade that allowed him to remain hanging of the wampa. He grabbed a frag, armed it, swung his fist closed on the frag around to the wampa's face, punched it into the creature's mouth (breaking its teeth in the process), gripped the dirk with both hands and kicked off as hard as he could; boot bursts included.

He rolled into the snow as the wampa's head exploded. He swung his head around to try and find the kid and saw that he was in trouble. He quickly got up and rushed over to try and help.
