"You are welcome… Nate. And yes, my name is Madlyn, or Mads for short," the executive assistant nodded with a small smile. "I have heard that the Sleeping Siren has a nice breakfast indeed. I will have to make a point to check it out should we get back home - I mean, when we do," the redhead quickly corrected herself to keep a more positive outlook even though the despair of their dire situation was starting to crush the hope of surviving this nightmare she held onto.
Madlyn leaned in closer when he pulled out the worn brochure from his bag. The politician looked as she felt, though she probably looked as Nathaniel felt as well. They now were in this together; last of their original group, maybe last of anyone alive in this whole area. There were times Mads just wanted to crawl up in a ball and not move; to let whatever was going to happen happen… Though then she knew she had be strong not only for herself, but for him too. Nate tried to hold the weight of the world on his shoulders. If she could just give him a little support, maybe he'd get them out of here in one piece.
Blue orbs gazed upon the unfolded tourist map and followed the Commissioner's finger as he pointed out their location and where their options were to go next. Madlyn tilted her red-gold head to the side and met his waiting eyes for an answer.
"Well I think we should prioritize. Food and drinkable water is number one to survive so finding those things should be first on our list, then search for the Resistance before we become permanent gutter rats. I admit I'd love to get a change of clothing too… I don't know about you, but I can barely stand myself."
