Shield-Bypassing Capability - The Evasive-226-R system disrupts energy fields and localized deflector harmonics, allowing the gunship to physically pass through shields and certain containment barriers, enabling direct attacks against protected stations, shielded capital ships, and fortified installations.

Exceptional Survivability for Its Class - Carbon-durasteel armor, Mandalorian iron alloys, damage-reduction system, redundant shields, and layered countermeasures allow the craft to absorb sustained punishment far beyond standard heavy starfighters or gunships.

DESCRIPTION

The Firespray-71-type Gunship is the most aggressive and technologically extreme evolution of the Firespray lineage - a vessel designed not to patrol, intercept, or escort, but to breach, execute, and survive. Developed by Aether Systems for the Mandalorian Empire, the 71-type abandons the traditional squadron-based fighter doctrine entirely. Each craft is treated as a singular strategic asset, a heavily armored assault engine capable of operating independently in the most hostile battlespaces imaginable. Its hull is built from layered Mandalorian iron alloys, nyix composites, doonium reinforcement, and carbon-durasteel armor backed by a damage-reduction system. Redundant deflector and ion shields wrap the ship in overlapping defensive fields, while countermeasure arrays and missile-suppression transmitters create dense electronic protection zones. Offensively, the Firespray-71 is overwhelming. Heavy laser cannons provide sustained anti-ship fire, ion cannons cripple systems, rotating blasters suppress fighter swams, and assault torpedoes deliver precision capital-grade kills. Void-7 seismic charges allow it to devastate clustered fleets, station interiors, or planetary fortifications, while heavy tractor beam projectors enable it to halt escaping ships or pin targets in place for execution. What truly separates the Firespray-71 from every other gunship is its advanced warfare suite. The Cap Drain system increases its protection against conner nets, EMP weapons, and power-disruption fields, preventing capture or electronic paralysis. The Evasive-226-R allows the craft to penetrate active shield barriers, bypassing one of the most fundamental defenses in space combat.
