DESCRIPTION

The Firespray-51-type Attack Craft represents the Mandalorian Empire's decision to abandon the traditional concept of the disposable starfighter in favor of a compact, armored execution platform designed to hit with the force of a capital-scale weapon. Derived from the Firespray-31 lineage and influenced by the patrol-focused Firespray-41-type, the 51-type discards restraint entirely. It is not a police craft, nor a reconnaissance vessel - it is a flying siege engine. Every aspect of the design prioritizes lethality and survival. Its hull is built from layered Mandalorian iron alloys, nyix composites, and carbon-durasteel plating reinforced by damage-reduction systems. Twin redundant shield generators envelop the craft in overlapping defensive fields, enabling it to penetrate directly through defensive fire that would otherwise shred conventional fighters. Its armament is extreme for its size - heavy laser cannons capable of tearing open starship armor, rotating blasters for sustained suppression, assault proton torpedoes for precision kills, and seismic charges for area denial and structural devastation. Combined with high-resolution sensor arrays and weapon-power converters, the Firespray-51-type has the potential to dismantle escorts, cripple corvettes, or obliterate hardened surface targets in a single coordinated strike. Internally, the craft is crewed by a pilot, co-pilot, and gunner, forming a tightly integrated combat team rather than a lone operator. This configuration allows continuous targeting, countermeasure deployment, and weapons management during high-intensity engagements. However, the craft's power comes at a cost.
