visio populi
It was becoming more and more common to spot the Chancellor out and about in the Alliance. He was never the kind to stay in the safety of the Senate. But he was sure it was still... odd, to see the leader of the Core Worlds knelt next to an astrogation console, hand extended, in deep concentration.
His eyes darted around behind his eyelids, tracking things that weren't there, as he dove deeply into the Future. Every once in a while, the man would flinch, his mouth curling into a grimace, before smoothening again. A cadre of four Herglic explorers huddled around him, large cetaceans with boisterous attitudes and loud voices, that were uncharacteristically quiet as he worked, looking on with muted curiosity.
Finally, the Chancellor stood, letting out a deep sigh before speaking. "Seven-two-dash-four. That's our heading." He caressed the bridge of his nose, as if fighting off a persistent headache.
"'f you say so, Your Excellency." The lead explorer, a captain with black and white patterned skin and a large blaster on her back, nodded to her crew. "Get ready to dip, boys. Seven-two-dash-four. New path to Atrisia."
Alicio let the scouts prepare, taking a step away for some air. He was happy to get away from his desk... but using the Force to guide his new map-charting initiative was draining. Seeing into the Future was easy- it had been second nature to him, as effortless as breathing, for a long time. But seeing so far in advance, following countless routes at lightning speed as he sniffed out the right one... it left him tired, as if he'd been staring at a viewscreen for too long.
But he was the best one for the job, as far as he could tell. Nobody else he knew had his level of expertise in the Future, save for perhaps

But Alicio was nothing if not a multitasker, so joining him on this astrogation adventure would be the Shield of the Jedi and liason to the Senate himself, Kahlil. It had been a long time since just the two of them had caught up, and the Chancellor had a lot of questions for the Jedi Master. Most of them were official- concerning the Senate, the upheaval, the political state of the GA. One question was... personal.
Not to mention, given the recent security concerns he'd faced, he wasn't allowed out without a significant guard detail. For that, Kahlil Noble would do fine.
