Star Tours headquarters

The Star Tours headquarters is a skyscraper having nearly 450 meters high (spire height), featuring 107 above-ground floors of leasable space, of which Star Tours occupies the majority of the space, and a subspace antenna at the top, located not too far away from the Municipal Spaceport. The location close to the spaceport was chosen due to the nature of the business Star Tours conducts. Several auxiliary buildings around the central building were built for different purposes: restaurants, shopping (stocking very similar merchandise to what duty-free shops usually stock, such as alcohol, clothes, fashion items), banking and exchange offices. As a result it dominates the city's skyline.

Madrasta University

The most prestigious university in Finalizer City, it is known galaxy-wide for a number of things: physical therapy, taught at the Adwest School of Physical Therapy, known to be the best in First Order territory for that discipline, as well as public policy, taught at the Mistia School of Public Policy. Its sports teams are known as the Auriverde and, consequently, the university's colors are green and yellow. Its campus covers about 500 acres and its student base is around 35,000 students. The Old Core is built using bricks, usng a style known as collegiate Gothic. Around the university is the district known as Old Finalizer, which is the oldest part of Finalizer City. It also features numerous venues for indie performances in the performing arts on-campus.

City Hall

The City Hall was built circa 350 ABY at the outer edge of Madrasta University's campus, when the construction spree of Madrasta University forced a boom on the construction inside the city as the city rapidly expanded and its municipal functions needed to expand as a result. Its main theater, seating 500, is often booked by performers looking to avoid the major venues seating well into the thousands. It was rather well-maintained, with numerous refurbishments over time, while maintaining as much of its original appearance as possible.

Finalizer City spaceport

Located close from Star Tours' headquarters, the Finalizer City spaceport was but one of the spaceports in use by Star Tours on Dosuun. It comprised many gates for ships up to 200 meters long, with a tarmac large enough to cover a 2000m-long ship regardless of which direction said ship docks at. It was designed with the landing of Ultima-class ships in mind. As such it is capable of rivalizing with the Avalonia Municipal Spaceport and is one of the largest spaceports in First Order space in its own right. Once a rather middling spaceport, after Star Tours began operating in First Order space, the spaceport undertook a master plan, funded partially through the spaceport landing fees collected from Star Tours, which saw large-scale expansion.

Description: Finalizer City is a postmodern (some species will talk about "futuristic") city with many buildings that appear built out of molten metal sculptures or of crystal shards. It is a city with all the modern amenities Core Worlders living in cities that size have come to expect from: underground public transportation, utilities, and downtown Finalizer City is rife with spiraling access ramps for those people who drive wheeled or tracked vehicles. Its spaceport could be located at its western edge, and between the spaceport district, which acts as a secondary business district for the city, and Downtown Finalizer City, there is a lot of urban sprawl with low and mid-rises dotting it, especially around Old Finalizer, where the more ancient building styles are in use.

History: Before Avalonia was constructed, Finalizer City was one of the major cities of Dosuun which, at the time, was a planet that was less populated than today. But the city itself didn't experience much growth until 750 ABY, aside from Madrasta University which was established circa 240 ABY. Madrasta University made the Old Finalizer City a college town, keeping its status for centuries, and as a result it is known across First Order space for its indie shows in the performing arts. By 750 ABY, the city knew a rapid surge in the popuation since many refugees from the Plague-affected Core Worlds sought a new life in Wild Space. In the decades that followed, Finalizer City was facing the typical problems of boom towns: insufficient public services (healthcare, education, justice, to name a few), land use problems, sanitation problems, transportation infrastructure, which led Finalizer City to be a prime example of brusselization.

Intent: To provide another city for the First Order's capital planet
