Fighting for Rubble [New Order Invasion of Dromund Kaas]

LOCATION: Somewhere within the ruins before the forward operations base
OBJECTIVE: Repel Sith
Allies: Mandalorians, Witches
Enemies: Sith (sorry don't now where everyone is)

Arla kept up with the movement her green eyes scanning as she watched for movement. Arrbi had taught her to wait, watch, squeeze, and hide. Only when you knew you could then move. It had taken a hike to get to her position, behind what remained of something made of stone and metal. What it had been was hard to know, she laid down sticking the muzzle of her weapon between rock and metal she had found. Laying down sighting in for distance her weapon, a borrowed verpine sniper rifle, she had been instructed not to let anything happen to it.

She could hear the communications between her Buir and others Rally Masters, and Field Marshalls to get everyone in place to keep this worthless planet of rubble. There had been movement but no one so far had actually moved in on them. Arla thought about standing up, waving her hands and doing the can-can dance for attention. But for now she thought keeping her position hidden was a good idea.

She had looked around briefly when they had arrived she could see little value in this place. Even now

The Sith forces were losing ground due to the Mandalorian fleet cutting off their reinforcements. The Res Legion began the slow push to edge the Sith troopers out of the city. Being lead by their leader [member="Aedan Miles"] and his clan brother Marrik, they were eliminating the Sith army more easily now.

Marrik and a unit of snipers scaled the ruins and began to pick off left over troopers as the moved with the main Mando forces. The skies were being dominated by the Mandalorians, which made it safer for the Mandos to move about the ruined city.

Aedan Miles watched as the Mando'ade started to push back and he sighed resting his helmeted head against the top of the sky scrapper as he looked out over the area before Kaas City. So many red lightsabers and so few to counter them... With a sigh the young man pushed himself to his feet as the Ga'laar-class shuttle came to a hesitant land on the top of the sky scrapper walking into it Aedan picked up his lightsaber pike and set his rifles aside. The time for them had come to an end he would be upon the ground giving out death to the Sith Forces there.

Sitting in a seat of the Ga'laar shuttle as it started to trace its way down to the surface of the planet Aedan calmly accessed his helmets hud to pull up a tactical map of the city and see how their positions were doing. That is when he noticed that there seemed to be an issue near a certain point it seemed the Sith were pushing rather hard there. With a quick word the shuttle came about to head towards that sector. Hopefully his appearance there could rally the troops and get them to give a push back. At worst he was walking into a fight he was not prepared for.

With a sigh Aedan felt the impact of various small arms fire and the sound of anit-air assets firing at his ship but he wasn't overly worried about it the shuttle could take it. Then he felt and heard a very familiar thud as the ship hit the ground and its hatched opened. The young man suddenly started to move quickly stepping out of the shuttle he ignited the head of his lightsaber pike and slammed the heft into the ground amplifying his voice the young man calmly called out firmly. 'COME BROTHERS AND SISTERS LET US GIVE THESE SITH THE DEATH THEY SEEK!" His call was followed by cries of agreement from the Mandalorian forces as they started to surge forward their weapons firing as Aedan started to stride forward letting the lightsaber pike move to be held out to the side as he calmly strode forward a moment and gathered the force about himself. As he waited he fueled his body with the force and then he sprang forward suddenly using force enhanced speed to close the distance between the Sith lines and himself. A few blaster bolts hit his Aliit'gam and thankfully didn't pierce it as he gave a cry and planted his feet slashing his weapon across the enemy lines as he looked for an ally he could assist.

Marrik dropped the ground as the men move ahead to fight the remaining troopers. He walked over to what was once a park with benches, tables and swings. Marrik made his way to a table, brushed it off and noted the checkered pattern on the granite top. He looked down and saw a steel box, half opened. He placed it on the chair and saw inside, a worn chess set. He decided to take a break from fighting and set up a game of chess.

He then looked out over the battlefield. In search of an opponent.

Hmm... Ashelotte mumbled to herself, still eagerly awaiting the charge of her opponent. After too long, Ashe began to grow weary and wonder if perhaps the onslaught of blaster bolts had actually incapacitated and crippled her enemy.
"I'll be fine..." she begrudgingly replied to [member="Jate Kar'ta"]. "Don't underestimate her. This one likes to play games, and she's a student of my fiance. Maybe she's dead... but we'd better be certain before one of us checks it out, no?" Ashelotte maniacally grinned.
The girl hid in their last fight, and the vixen wasn't foreign to her name or her aura thanks to Circe. The same tactics as last time were naturally expected, there were never any misconceptions about that. The Nameless Blade came down with a huge, heaving swing of her left arm, planting its alchemically and surgically refined blade deep into the ground. With one angered, deep breath, the vixen gave all her focus to the space immediately before her. The alchemically enhanced Dark shards in her weapon, now plunged into the ground, gave her Force a focal point. Quickly, she conjured yet another two balls of aquamarine, liquid-like fire. Again she drew in all her hate and telekinetically compressed the burning air into super-tight confines. Again she combined it into one swirling mass of supernaturally hot fire. The light generated from the compression and constant combustion alone made industrial fusion cutters look like birthday candles. Cocking her body back in a counterclockwise motion at the hips and torso, she quickly contorted her waist back forward full-circle and threw the raging infernal ball at the place where the dust had only just begun to settle.
"DIE!!!!!!!!" she screamed as the trailing ball had crashed like a comet and exploded into a blinding, bright ball of chaos, the concussive force sending a hot, dusty rush of wind back at Jate and the fox.
A fair-sized crater was left in its wake, even though the debris would not settle for quite the while, and the ground was immediately blackened. It was as though a fuel-air bomb had gone off. The ability to collect and send back the flames was redundant, as the thermobaric blast had already consumed its catalyst and any flares that went astray would simply be honed to the amplified blade through Ashe's expert control of fire - her one true specialty. The shaft of the bronzium-coaxed weapon almost glowed bright from all the thermal energy collected by the conjuration of the firebomb.
Ashe was a sorceress and a vulpine; she could be expected to be crafty with her powers and tools despite her deficiency in compared combat skills. She had learned from Circe before 'Alicia' was even a name. Jate, however, didn't seem a Force sensitive at all in first impression, and may not have fared so well. This would hold especially true if and when the lightning came, as Ashe could simply collect it in her alchemically empowered wakizashi whereas Jate likely did not have such tools.
"Huff... Huff... Kar'ta?" Ashelotte questioned as she fell to a knee, panting after the bout of darkness and bloodlust that unleashed what was there of her inner rage gave her a slight exhaustion and her wound was strained.

The Force Bubble surrounding the Sith Lord was the beginning of the Force Maelstrom, designed to absorb all types of energy sent to it in order to increase the explosive yield of the Maelstrom, as well as any objects thrown or subsequently fired into it's radius. The flames impacted the bubble and burned themselves out. Such was the physics when fire impacted something such as this. However, the thermal energy behind the blasts were absorbed into the bubble and consequentially would increase the power behind the Maelstorm when Ayra decided to execute her technique.

Rocks and shards from the surrounding crater would join the WESTAR M5 blaster rifle that Ayra dropped earlier, as well as the ammunition she had for the rifle on her body. Grenades, for the rifle and strapped around her, also rose into the air around the Sith Lord as the Force Maelstrom nearly reached the point in which it was ready to be fired. But she wasn't ready for that yet.

Just a little bit more.

A single White-Current-cloaked Sharyd-class race fighter spun away from the Malevolent Spirit as [member="Siobhan Kerrigan"] began to do her dirty work. He could practically hear the bridge tower groan and shred -- and then his class-A, White-Current-shielded thermal detonator would go off where he'd left it at the base of the Xo'Xaan's reactor.

The baradium charge would force a portion of the reactor's containment armor to cease to exist as anything solid. Stellar-core, million-degree plasma would rush out into the vessel; Ember thoroughly expected the Malevolent Spirit to simply explode.

His priorities and interests lay elsewhere as his little ship headed off to find something worthwhile to fight.

Diana knocked over the Sith, punting him to the ground and immediately bounding over him towards the other Sith Forces. She was intent on the Sith Troopers, her violet lightsaber slicing through them even as in the distance she spotted canon fire from [member="Ordo"]'s artillery position. Her teeth clamped together as shockwaves rushed through the earth.

In a careless moment a trooper lashed out at her, his rifle smashing into the front of her helmet with extreme force.

The Jedi Master's head snapped back in an instant, the sound of plasteel shattering ringing in her ears as her helmet broke into pieces. Half of it fell to the floor, but before the Sith could do anymore damage Diana brought her lightsaber up. She slashed the man in twine, severing his torso from his legs and sending him crying out in pain to the floor.

She righted herself, head shaking as she holstered the Morp Gun and tore off her helmet in one smooth motion.

The Duraplast fell onto the floor with a clattering noise, red hair freeing itself from a tightly rolled bun. Out of simple reaction Diana batted away a blaster bolt, sending it searing into a mans eye. She scowled, her other lightsaber returning to her hand and igniting in a flash of brilliant violet.

A wall of Sith troopers seemed to back away from her, taking a single retreating step in unison.

As Diana moved by herself against the Sith lines rain began to pour from the ashen skies of Dromund Kaas. At first it, it was only a drizzle, then in heaving droves black drops of water fell from the sky, hissing and burning as they struck Diana's sabers.

The Jedi Master Simply frowned, charging directly at the Sith.

It took him a little longer to escape the rubble than it did the other two Force users but that was alright, it seemed as if they were at a stand still. Raising his Roughcut he pumped, the sound of his gun echoing through the room. He didn't wait, he didn't give a verbal warning, he just pointed, aimed and sqeezed the trigger. Blam! The slugthrower launched its load, 12 gauge, energy propelled slughtrower rounds flew towards the pair of Force users. Pumping again he fired his second shot as he walked towards them, the recoil jaring him a tad. <These Jetisse aren't getting away from me this time...>

That time used to rain down baranium shrapnel was enough to get the Bounty hunter to her feet. She had little time to react. So she had to make use of what precious seconds she had.

The Mun'Beviin Anti-Material Rifle was a heavy, anti material rifle. The Mun'Beviin is unique to weapons of its class for many reasons, but one stands head and shoulders above the rest: the weapon is a blaster/slug thrower hybrid. Using existing technology like the Tusken Cycler Rifle and Tenloss Corporations' Ambassador Revolver as inspirations, designers worked hard to meld the two technologies together. As a result, the Mun'Beviin has the hard hitting and highly penetrating ability of a high caliber slug thrower with the thermal energy and effectiveness of a blaster weapon.

The weapon was designed to penetrate thick walls, vehicle armor, and even biological armor with relative ease to cause grievous wounds and heavy damage to whatever stood behind the objects or armor. The rifle's long range at a max of two thousand meters also allows the user to engage targets far beyond the effective range of their own weapons allowing users to destroy targets with little to no risk of substantial engagement danger.

Which is why the Bounty hunter used it then and there. Groaning, feet went scrambling towards the rifle. Hands brought the heavy weapon up, and her cybernetic eyepatch went flashing crimson fire as the buttstock was set in the pocket of her shoulder. The trajectory was achieved as her cybernetic eyepatch gave the appropriate details.

By now the cloud of fire and smoke had waned, and there she saw through the Force the blur of the Sith coming towards her.

That's it. Keep on coming.

Breathe. Stars that fething hurt. In. Out.

She pulled back the trigger without hesitation, a shot directly aimed for his torso. Sending one .52 caliber solid slug right at him.

So when he came at her, wielding the Force to crack the earth and shatter, sending shards of rock up in a weaving line at her, a curse fell from her lips, modulated by the visor, as the witch's voice went screaming a cry of warning in her head.

She didn't wait to see if the slug hit. She simply acted.

The rifle was too heavy, she couldn't move as fast as she wanted. It fell from her hands as she rolled out to the right, dust and rock rushing and falling around her as the thundering sound of shifted rock almost impaled her then and there. Another shot up from the ground and she kept rolling, only to bring her feet up to her chest as she rocked to her feet.

She wasn't too quick, as one managed to graze the right side of her body. Blunt impact, the armor taking the bulk of the damage. Beskar was a wonderful thing.

A grunt came from her lips, the pain shooting through her. Nostrils flared under the visor shielding her face, that black tee snapping up as the cherry light of her eyepatch went scanning through the cloud of dust settling over in the wake of his attack.

Feth.

She could use the stone and the dust cover now to her advantage. Unfortunately, the Mun'Beviin was a bit out of reach now.

But she still had the rest of her toys scattered around...

Projectiles were something to be feared on the battle-field. And had he got the drop on them he might have actually torn him to shreds. But heavy foot-falls slammed into duracrete, and rightfully so, one had to sacrifice stealth for speed.

He'd relinquish his attempt at seizing his masters neck as he felt the approaching foot-steps. So that when he started shooting he was able to bide upon a supporting pillar. The ball-bearings exploded into the surface causing a plum of smoke to fill the air. With his grip fastened around his saber he'd drive hard into the ground until he descended, or at least attempting to.
The solace of the lower floor would prove to be most accommodating if he could achieve such.

On the front lines with thousands of other soldiers, Horror grinned at the sight of the mandalorians turn to ashes by the yellow beam of his disruptor. It wasn't that he liked killing people. To him, killing a person is the same as breaking a vase; they were only objects. Obsessing over trivial things like that would be simply idiotic. Instead, Horror was grinning at how good he was at offing whomever came into his direct line of sight.
665, he remembered. That was how many he counted dead by his hand so far. At least since he's started counting.

Aiming through the iron sights of his disruptor rifle, Horror laid sights on a charging Diana coming his way fast. He sensed a great presence in the force emanating from her, but that only made her a fancier vase than usual. He pulled the trigger and sent a continuous yellow beam for her torso that would definitely reduce her to an angry pile of ashes in mere seconds if it hit.

But that's not where it ended. He had decades of experience killing jedi and sith alike for money. It was like a hobby to him. He knew the jedi would simply block the beam as if by instinct, but it would not be deflected backwards as it would dissipate the moment it contacted something. The beam was a simple diversion meant to divide her attention from what came next.

From his underslung H-1 Charon Carbine, the mercenary fired a single three burst round of small capsules. Each of them moved at the speed of a slug and were very small, making them very hard to spot as they locked onto Diana's signature and flew towards her. As soon as they were three feet from her, they would release countless durasteel flechette shards sure to pierce her armor, flesh and make a pin cushion out of her. She was about to be kill number 666.

Diana didn't block the beam, instead she chose to go above it. As soon as the force pressed into her mind that danger was approaching Her lightsaber flicked upwards, the jetpack on her back roaring slightly as it burst to life once again.

The blue exhaust boosted Diana into the air, sending her spiraling and twisting into the air in one quick swoop.

She shot into the air like a rocket, avoiding both the long beam of yellow light and the flechettes that flew towards her. Her eyes bulged as she saw the Sith Troopers that had been standing behind her getting torn apart by tiny pieces of metal, blood spewing from new slots in their armor. For a few seconds she hovered in the air, the jetpack giving her a view of her target.

Then suddenly, it cut out.

Diana plummeted to the earth, landing on her feet with a silent thud. She looked to her trooper who had fired on her, deactivating the lightsaber in her left hand and returning the hilt to its slot on her thigh. Then she reached out with the force, grasping after Horror and attempting to tear him off his feet to send him flying towards her and her swinging lightsaber.

Horror watched [member=Diana Moridena] fly into the sky and actually dodge his attack. She went a little off script with that one, but he shrugged. He was glad she had dodged actually because had she not, he wouldn't be able to witness the breathtaking sight he was. He stood there, staring dreamily at Diana from behind his mask at the shock and horror splayed across her face. The widened eyes, the look of alarm and repulsion, it all made her look so beautiful. For that moment, he forgot completely about the battleground around him and could only focus on Diana and fantasize about getting close enough to pull out his scalpel and just remove her face from her dead body. Yes, her face would make a nice addition to his collection.

Suddenly, she dropped down to the ground, breaking him out of the trance just in time for him to notice that he was being pulled towards her. Was it possible? Did she also love him and want to be as close as ever? He accepted the pull with open arms until him noticing the lightsaber still in her hand caused the reality of the situation to dawn upon him. She wasn't going to embrace him, she was going to kill him! Horror's mind back on track, his brain once again became a supercomputer dealing with algorithms solely for killing. With less than a second at his disposal, he thought and acted fast. Leaning into the pull, he flipped forward and brung his legs close enough to the ground to jump off of it and over Diana.

With so little time to do so, there was no chance he would completely dodge the attack. As he traveled up and over the slash, her lightsaber sliced deep into his right leg and because he was moving upwards, the blade cut down right to the ankle. Horror twisted himself and spun horizontally in the air for distance to land behind her. In the heat of the moment, he did not notice his leg was injured until he landed on it and immediately dropped. Always the quick thinker and never one to show weakness, he translated the drop into a low sweep with his left leg, meaning to kick Diana's feet from the ground and cause her to fall to it. Once that was done, he'd draw, extend and activate his electrostaff and jab it down at her torso, meaning to shock her painfully as much as bludgeon her gut with the thing.

Location: Dromuund Kaas Wastes
Objective: Kick Sith Shebs, Specifically Alicia Drey, Assist Ashe the Reaper
Allies: Mandalorians, Ashe the Reaper
Enemies: One Sith, Alicia Drey

Jate listened to what Ashelotte had to say. She could already tell that this Sith was crafty just from this engagement. The Mandalorian had suspicions but when the vixen mentioned a fiance she knew this was personal. That explained the maniacal smile on her face and her rabid behavior. She nodded in agreement to see if they truly took down their foe. However before they went over to check it out Ashelotte pulled out her weapon and planted it in the ground, causing her to pause. She then conjured more flames and seemed to be doing some Force mojo to it. It got really bright and really hot really fast, causing Jate to raise her hands up.

Suddenly Ashelotte launched whatever it was at where the Sith most likely went down. There was a large flaming explosion. While the fire did not reach them, the shockwave did. The force blew the unsuspecting Jate backwards into the air. She tumbled around, not having enough time to readjust with her jump pack when she crashed into the ground. Her head hit a rock and the last thought she had was, Di'kutla Forcer, before she went unconscious.

The battle raged on elsewhere as the Sith invaders were dwindled down to small pockets of resistance, but Marrik sat in the ruins of the city park, sipping on some caf and playing chess against the computer. He flicked a few flakes of ash off his armor and moved his Rook in to take the computers Pawn.

"Larraq, this is Rekali. The Xo'Xaan whose bridge Kerrigan just ripped off, the Malevolent Spirit -- it's got a cloaked class-A thermal detonator planted in its reactor chamber. Hit it hard enough in the midsection and that baradium will split it in two from the impact shock alone."

That, and he'd left the White-Current-cloaked, carefully concealed detonator on a three-minute timer, nearly all of which was now elapsed. Backup plans were a necessity.

Siobhan was leaning against the bulkhead after her exertions and had gulping down a glass of water, having taken her helmet off. The bridge of the Xo'Xaan had bent to her telekinetic might and been ripped apart. Then in a flash the cavalry had arrived. No word yet from the situation on the ground. So far the space battle seemed terribly uneventful. Actually it did not really seem like a battle at all. Perhaps the Sith had believed that it would be background noise like at Coruscant.

"Looks like the Mandalorian fleet is here, no sign of any action from the Sith. So...shall we get milkshakes and popcorn?" she asked HK half-seriously as she stretched slightly. Bored now, she thought. Probably the exact opposite of being mature, but then Siobhan had never been that.

Rygel Larraq watched the forward holodisplay turn and shift as his fleet moved. Weapons opened fire from the Sith fleet and the Skira-class Battleship opened fire in response. In the hologram, wave after wave of contact icon light up and moved away from the formation of ships as numerous fighters, bombers, and other craft launched from his ships and moved to the staging point to wait for further orders.

Larraq watched as statistical information poured into his datapad. The twin Ulur'uur frigates were running their sensors at maximum capacity as they scanned the enemy fleet for strengths, weaknesses, and vulnerable targets. Here and there possible power conduits, sensor nodes, and other potential vulnerable targets displayed on each of the enemy ships.

Picking up his ceramic tea cup once again, Larraq sipped in the warm liquid. “Order the Krayt-class Cruiser to begin interdiction.” Larraq said as he leaned back in his chair. “I want full coverage of the enemy fleet. Split the projection over these two coordinates.” Larraq continued as he indicated two spots on the holographic display.

Two conical projections burst into life on the holoprojector and Rygel Larraq smiled. “Send previous two coordinates to Bravo Formation. Order them to begin operation.” Larraq said to his officers before sipping at his tea.

A message from another Mandalorian commander beeped on his datapad and Larraq grinned ever so slightly as he read it. Bomb or no bomb, the Sith were about to get hit harder than they thought possible. Pressing a button on the datapad, a single acknowledgment tone was the only response he sent to [member="Ember Rekali"].
