  • Keeps you warm
  • Oh, and the illusion

  • Keeps you warm: Snuggled up around your ears, around your head, keeping you warm. The fabric thick enough to shelter a head from the cold, soft enough to mold itself to any shape. This was the epitome of warmth.
  • Colourful: The hats come in a variety of colours and shapes so there should be something that fits everyone.

  • Oh and the illusion: The hats are wonderful and warm, just the thing you want to wear on a cold winter’s day to play in the snow. Only...just like everything else the inhabitants of Diavolin created for the festival, there were two sides to it. While the hat could keep your ears from freezing in the snow and cold weather, the hat’s prank loving creators couldn’t help but throw in a twist. Wearing the hat would wrap you in a force illusion, while you’d keep your face your body or clothes would appear to be different.
  • Force Null: Stepping into the presence of a Ysalamir or a Voidstone nullifies the effect of the force imbuement leaving the fan as well, nothing more than a warm hat.

The denizens of Diavolin knew of the outside galaxy through vague memories, through stories passed down and glimpses through portals. As such their view of celebrations based around winter were...skewed. They saw the costumes people wore, the movies and figures out of myth without any of the context, so to them those became the most important parts of the galaxy’s winter traditions. So when planning their party why wouldn’t they want to give their guests the chance to pretend to be these figures that were such a large part of their traditions.
So, when preparing the gifts, the woollen hats were imbued with a variety of illusions to allow people to dress up without having to worry about their clothes or to feel so cold. They were just trying to be helpful...right? They didn’t really know what they were doing...did they?
(OOC: Wearing the hat will make you look like whatever you want, so have some fun with it :D )
