Grey Jedi Padawan/Cinnamon Roll
OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
The Felucian dread beetle has lived for millennia, and with no natural predators, it was quite common. Unlike most animals, however, they were not immune to the Gulag Plague, and it killed off many of them, almost making them extinct. Their numbers are growing now, but slowly. They were discovered shortly after the planet was discovered, and since the Gulag Plague, conservationists have been keeping a close eye on these dangerous yet beautiful beetles. Kuxirra's many-greats-grandmother, Asesa Tano-Bonteri, due to her close connection to nature, had a female specimen named Daldifil. Daldi, as Asesa often called the beetle, was her first pet: Asesa had her from the age of three. Around 4BBY, when Asesa was twelve, Daldifil laid eggs, and when they hatched, Asesa returned them to the wild, although Daldifil stayed with her.

- Tough: Their carapaces are resistant to blasters, but not to lightsabers.
- Nom nom: They can easily chomp through the material the stormtroopers used in the Galactic Civil War.
- Venomous: The Felucian dread beetle lives up to its name―its venom is deadly, particularly that of the young females, and is capable of downing a young krayt dragon, thus leading to "dread". In one minute, you lose your balance. In two, your hearing. In three, your depth perception. By four minutes, you're blind. And within five minutes of being bitten, the venom will have reached your heart and it will slowly and agonizingly turn your insides to mush over the course of a week.
- Loyal: it is nearly impossible to tame them, but if they are tamed, they are fiercely loyal to their tamer, who they consider their "territory"
- Big: Its, well, large. The size of a dinner plate. That makes it an easy target for a good sniper, and while they can take a hit, sustained blasterfire will kill it.
- Slow: Yeah, it don't move that fast. Once again, easy target.
- Not entirely blaster proof: the wings themselves are very fragile.
- Diet: Carnivore. Insecticide does wonders if you've got a problem.
- Communication: They use pheremones to communicate
- Technology level: N/A
- Religion/Beliefs: N/A
- General behavior: They travel solo or in small groups. Young are raised by the female, who fiercely protects them. They are generally nocturnal, but some can be diurnal. Eggs are laid in batches of 20-25 and take six weeks to hatch. They reach full maturity at six months.
