This armor was designed as a way to distinguish Fel Troops from all the imperial remnants throughout the galaxy, and from all those trying to relive ancient history. The armor of the Fel Imperium is relatively light-weight and allows for decent mobility, while also being protective and good looking. The troops are often given different pairs of armorweave underclothes as to blend in with jungle or other environments, and the VISOR system allows increased visibility. Along with visibility, the VISOR projects a heads up display to assist the soldier wearing it.
