Fear the Unknown

Location: Orbit above Halowan
As usual, the Holowan Security Fleet floated above the barren planet, monitoring and managing communications for space traffic control for the industrial region. The leader of the New Techno Union was to be expected this time, having run into a problem that would prove difficult to solve. Luckily for them, Doctor Upari had come up with a solution.

The two patrol ships apart of the fleet would break off, heading deeper into space to align with the hyperlane that [member="Dresden M'koor"] would be arriving from. Once they were picked up on his scanners, he would know they had come out to greet him, along with a Raider-class corvette. Simple safety precautions of course, as this space wasn't exactly governed by any super power governments. The corvette would send out a hail once M'koor's CR90 arrived in the system, welcoming him to Halowan before escorting him to the surface. A docking bay in one of the spaceports had been reserved for his arrival, where he would meet the fine doctor himself.

"Welcome to Halowan, Mr. M'koor. Good to see you again. I hope you have enjoyed your scatter guns." He commented, with a knowing smile. Together, they would be able to create more anti force-user creations to be utilized by all.

Dresden wandered out from his ship with the familiar tapping of his cane, his gray eyes glancing over the surrounding territory before grinning at his new comrade in commerce. "Ah! Good doctor! I wasn't expecting to be called to you again so soon! But it was indeed a pleasant surprise!" Along with his normal attachment of B9 battle droids, two men dressed in his Volt Trooper armor stand guard directly at the bottom of the ramp, their white armor mimicking the coloration of the ship behind him. The four B9s that follow behind him scan the area, probably sending data to an inside computer within The Inquisitor.

"Perhaps next time we can meet at my HQ back at Coruscant? Show you the sights of the planet if you've never been, although I'll be shocked if you haven't. Glorious planet it is." He stops in front of the doctor, planting his hands on the pommel of his cane as he grins "Of course, I rarely get to see it myself."

Beneath the breathing apparatus attached to his face, the old man produced what was assumed to be a smile. He had been to Coruscant, he had worked there for sometime during the One Sith occupation. "I may have to take you up on that offer, Mr. M'koor," Upari responded, motioning the man along as they made their way out of the docking bay. They would march through the spaceport corridors, filing into another docking bay which housed a large transport.

[member="Dresden M'koor"]'s group of six would fit within the main cabin of the ship, while the doctor and M'koor took a seat within the pilot and co-pilot chair, respectively. Engaging the engines, the craft hovered out of the bay, shooting over the city and towards its destination. "So, I heard that you may be in the market for more anti force-user technology. Is that true?" Upari questioned, turning from the small viewport to glance at his associate.

"Yea.. I've got my men working on trying to figure out how to copy the Ysalamir's ability to negate the force using technology.. very few promising results thus far." He chuckles as he shakes his head "Of course.. who even knows if it is possible?" He turns to one of his droids as it holds up a particularly large bottle and he takes it, offering it to the doctor "I'm unsure of what you drink in your spare time, so I bought you the stereotypical whiskey. I hope I'm not overstepping my bounds."

[member="Ballen-Ist"]

Upari did not drink, not in the regular sense anyway. Still, he would take the bottle, nodding in appreciation to [member="Dresden M'koor"]. "Thank you, Mr. M'koor," he spoke, before continuing on with the topic of anti force-user technology. Upari had worked for the One Sith for a long time, seeing many horrible abominations and terrifying technological creations alike. Many prominent force-users had stepped onto the stage during the galactic wars, and so technology and ways to combat the force were in demand.

"Ysalamiri, such rare creatures," the doctor spoke, waving a hand through the air as if to dismiss them completely. "There are many ways to counter force-user abilities, Mr. M'koor. A Ysalamir projects a sort of field around its body, which creates a sort of dead zone for force-users. Void stones can produce the same effect, though not as potent as the Ysalamiri's. There are a few more, if you wish for me to go on." Upari concluded, returning his attention back to the shuttle he was piloting. He sent a transmission to the headquarters, letting them know he would be arriving in the hangar bay soon.

"Void Stones? And where exactly would one acquire these stones?" He asks curiously as he watches the man's flying, and while Upari may have much experience with the force, Dresden had very little, having stayed far away from force users since an early age.

[member="Ballen-Ist"]

"Void stones are particularly difficult to obtain," the doctor began, bringing the shuttle to a lower speed as they raced over the industrial sector. Tall buildings and warehouses lined the surface, with a few factories here and there, contributing to the drab and depressing atmosphere of the planet.

"Though not impossible. Only three planets are recorded to have possessed stone fragments. The alternative is otherspace, and that is something I would rather not risk," Upari paused, wondering if [member="Dresden M'koor"] knew what he was talking about at all. "Sithspawn, specifically the Terentatek, also can provide the desired effects, to a degree. Their hide is nigh-immune to direct applications of the force. Fashion it into a cloak or robe, and you've got a fine defense."

He would let it all sink in for the man, allowing him to decide which route he wanted to go. Upari still had much to show him, so there would be even more ideas to go off of.

"Sithspawn definitely aren't my forte.. and I've always wondered about Otherspace.. a company that could keep a steady portal open to that world and use it's resources could become the most powerful in the galaxy.." He chuckles slightly and shakes his head "I suppose I'll just have to use what Void Stones I can purchase.."

[member="Ballen-Ist"]

"Indeed, however trips to otherspace are hardly made on purpose," the old man remarked, somewhat thankful that such a dimension was extremely difficult to enter. If one were able to travel back and forth, they could even release the Charon, a species once native to the realm. Sithspawn weren't exactly a specialty of Holowan Laboratories, but they had once located and exterminated one in order to harvest its force resistant hide. "Why purchase them from someone, when we can begin our own mining operation?" Upari questioned, having already monitored the choice planet for such a task.

The shuttle approached the tall headquarters building, a small hangar bay door opening to allow the craft to land within the structure. Powering down, the doctor escorted [member="Dresden M'koor"] and his entourage into the hangar, where they would walk to the blast door exits. "There are still many alternatives, my friend. It all depends on what is acceptable."

"Profit is what's acceptable." He states with an amused chuckle "As a fellow business man I'm sure you'll agree." He glances back at his droid anterage and then back at Upari, awaiting a response

[member="Ballen-Ist"]

Upari would usher [member="Dresden M'koor"] along, leading the main and his entourage through the opened blast door and within a small corridor. It branched off into an intersection, with a turbolift entrance straight ahead of the group. "Of course, I mean what is acceptable for your contractee, so to say," the doctor responded, knowing that M'koor was tasked with providing his services and creations to another.

The turbolift door slid open, revealing a small amount of space that could hold four individials, and no more. "I suggest leaving the droids to keep the shuttle warm, perhaps. Surely, you trust me enough not to bring your whole security unit?"

Dresden glances back at his droids, then the turbo lift and shrugs, waving the droids off who march back the way they came. "Doctor, most of my contractors care very little for how they get their product as long as it is efficient and cheap.. although for this particular order I will admit I have to attempt to not harm any animals.." He gives a joking groan at the restrictions set upon him by the client, but they were always right weren't they?

[member="Ballen-Ist"]

Upari could not help but laugh, wondering who [member="Dresden M'koor"] had the unfortunate luck of being a contractor for. "Such restrictions are simply not feasible, especially in a time of war," the cyborg remarked, nodding to the CEO as they stepped in to the turbolift. Pressing a button on the console near the door, Upari would have the lift take them to the lowest levels of the structure, where they would be underground. "I would not call a Sithspawn an animal, more like an abomination, but there are still alternatives. We have just placed the finishing touches on our IG-800 MagnaGuard, a droid model built to combat force-users. On top of that and void stones, there are certain chemicals which can interfere with a force-user's concentration, thus restricting their use of the force. Have you ever heard of force-breaker grenades?" The doctor asked, as they continued to descend within the turbolift.

Dresden shakes his head, glancing over to the Doctor "I've never heard of it before no.."

[member="Ballen-Ist"]

The turbolift stopped, opening up to reveal a large room beyond. It was cut into different sections, by several transparisteel walls that shaped the smaller rectangular rooms. They appeared to be testing grounds for the researchers and developers, for there were staff within some of the rooms along with droid bodies or a team working on blueprints. [member="Dresden M'koor"] and Upari would walk along the corridor, able to spectate either side as they went.

"Ixetal cilona has been used in many anti force-user creations, and for good reason. This paired with an accelerometer chip inside the grenade, makes for a deadly weapon against Jedi and Sith alike. The chip will track speed and trajectory, detonating immediately if it is say, pushed away by the force. Mandalorian in design, I believe," the doctor explained, stopping as they stood outside one of the glass rooms.Within it were a few staff members, and the shining model of the new IG-800 MagnaGuard. It held an electrostaff in its hands, and began to spin it through the air at extreme speeds. "Our newest droid has just been completed, too. I could make sure that you receive some shipments."

"I certainly wouldn't mind having a few.." He commented, looking over the impressive design. "I'll also have to look into procuring several of those grenades.." He brings a hand up to stroke his beard, the other resting on the pommel of his cane. This business venture was proving more and more beneficial. However, he needed realistate "You wouldn't happen to know anyone selling large quantity of land or old factory complexes do you? I'm looking to.. expand."

[member="Ballen-Ist"]

Upari was an expert when it came to matters involving force-users, and so he was not surprised that [member="Dresden M'koor"] was satisfied. Though, the doctor had a better idea than what the Techno Union CEO had suggested. "Of course, we can arrange some shipments to be sent with you. The IG-800 are limited in number however, so they won't come in large quantities. As for the grenades, we could just manufacture our own version together," Upari paused, eager to know what M'koor thought about his proposition. Surely these products would satisfy the man's employer, even if they were not void stones. "Alabash has a lot of land vacant, as you know. You could even build a factory close to our own."

"I would prefer if you were the one to design these grenades, I'm afraid none of my staff quite have the expertise that you and your team does. And one of my newest customers is a Force-User I'd be less than happy to piss off." He says with an amused chuckle before giving a nod "I have been looking to expand, and Alabash certainly is a prime candidate. I'll have my contractors look to set up construction straight away when I return to Coruscant!" He grins enthusiastically at Upari

[member="Ballen-Ist"]

Upari managed to smile beneath his breathing apparatus, nodding slowly as he listened to [member="Dresden M'koor"]. They both knew the wrath of force-users, though Upari figured he was in the worse situation. Not that he saw it as such, for working at Holowan Laboratories was a fine opportunity. "We will begin to design the grenades immediately, then. I will also provide you with enough IG-800 models for yourself and your employer," Upari responded, as he turned to exit the room they had been in. Heading for the turbolift, he continued to speak. "Alabash will be glad to have you, Mr. M'koor. They'll begin surveying for suitable land as soon as we contact them. What else shall we discuss?"

"I have nothing else really to discuss." He admits. He hadn't come to visit very prepared "I believe we've already accomplished a great deal!"
