"I would not trust her, but I would take her deal for now if it gets her to stop talking for a moment and do something useful"

"You mean like my shield? When you nearly crushed her? I know it had to be you, everyone else was in the crowd!"

Kaila scoffed and gave the burning corpses a quick push via the force, leaning over the edge just long enough to confirm that they'd hit the bottom before turning her attention back to the Jedi and the girl. She'd lived among the undead long enough to know that fire might take longer then that to completely destroy them. Better that they burn down there than mid climb.

Tamsin Graves said:
"I don't think, I am who you think I am though. I also have no idea who either of you are?"

"The name's Kaila, by the way. But the Jedi is right, we should explain on the way"

She would march right past the Jedi to the opposite side of the roof, checking the ground for more undead. Luckily that side of the building seemed clear, for now.

"Right, You lifted her before, yeah? I'll jump, you carefully set her down and I'll summon a barrier around her so that nothing can touch us. I can have a ship here in under a minute"

She had done all the diplomacy she needed now, and arguing with the Jedi had already cost her precious focus that prevented her from realizing the Sith had been using necromancy below. Now she was ready to focus on their escape.

"More Sith twisting of the truth, about what I expected," Tella replied in response to the accusation that she had almost gotten the girl killed "but we will have enough time to argue that point later."

Turning to the frightened Tamsin, she gave her a brief nod and a warm, reassuring smile, quite different from how she reacted to Kaila.

"I am Tella, and I am no Jedi, but we can discuss that later. Right now your safety is my main priority, as it has been since this has started. Do not worry, I will make sure no harm comes to you, whatever happens."

No way in hell am I letting this clueless, scared girl be taken onto that Sith ship alone. She would be even more easy pickings than she already is. I doubt for a moment this woman is going to offer more than the illusion of choice to this former slave. That is what they do-offer you "freedom" and when you reach for it, put the collar around your neck. Who even knows if this entire situation is not just an elaborate good cop, bad cop by the two Sith to trick her?

"Very well, you go ahead first. I will make sure…" Tella paused, giving a reassuring yet questioning look to the girl. "…what is your name?"

Tamsin kept shifting her focus between the too women as they sort of talked out the plan partly bickered at each other. She caught the part about nearly crushing her and Kaila shielding her. Truth be told she didn't fully grasp what they were saying. It would a take moment for it to click that the water tower had purposely been brought down. Tamsin had just thought it was an omen the ones that seemed to follow her everywhere. Bad things happened around her, yet she always came out barely harmed, at least physically.

"The name's Kaila, by the way. But the Jedi is right, we should explain on the way"

Tamsin nodded acknowledgement but turned to the silver haired woman as Kaila walked past them to the other end of the roof. She had noted Kaila kicking something off the roof, but she hadn't caught a clear look at what it was. Her reason for turning to Tella was that Kaila had called her a Jedi. I mean they had been calling each other all kinds of snipes and had been talking about jedi and sith but Tamsin in her state had only partly picked up on it.

So, was this silver haired woman that a Jedi of the stories she had heard? A jedi if they were real, not that she didn't think they were real just that the stories of them were over exaggerated thought she was special. It just left her even more damn confused than she already was.

"I am Tella, and I am no Jedi, but we can discuss that later. Right now your safety is my main priority, as it has been since this has started. Do not worry, I will make sure no harm comes to you, whatever happens."

Oh, so she wasn't a Jedi, what a weird insult to call someone she had to admit to herself. She guessed the sentiment about protecting her and helping her was nice but still weird. Tamsin didn't have a clue as to why this was happening to her or what this was all really about, but she supposed she would have to wait to find out. Her fears easing just a bit, it seemed neither woman was out to harm her at least for the moment. Still, she needed answers.

"…what is your name?"

Tamsin was sure she had said her name earlier? Then again things were chaotic, perhaps it was missed or maybe Tamsin hadn't said it at all just though she had.

"Who are you guys? Do you have me confused with someone else? I'm just a slave girl named Tamsin, I have never been special in my life?"

"I'm, Tamsin." She said again with a little more confidence and audible enough that both could hear it for sure if she hadn't said it or they missed it. "So, you're going across to the other building?" She asked Kaila, her eyes scanned down to Kaila's feet those were odd looking repulsor boots, must have been homemade or something Tamsin thought to herself. To her that had to be how jedi, sith, or whatever leapt so high long in the stories. Then she turned back to Tella. "Then you are going to send me across like when you pulled me up? Do you have some sort of anti-grav device on you?" Tamsin wasn't sure how such a device would work on a single target; most would target an area rather then an object or in her case a single person.

"Indeed, Tamsin. Let this be lesson one —Remember the high ground!" Kaila stifled a chuckle while taking a few steps back.

"Lesson two? The force is a pathway to many abilities some consider unnatural"

Kaila then took a running leap off the rooftop, arms out and cloak fluttering behind her as if she were some winged creature while the force carried her an unnatural distance over the road below. She would land atop the next ledge in a crouch, thankful that so many rooftops on Tatooine were so flat and her armor so light.

She stood then to her full height and turned to peer across the way at the Jedi and Tamsin, who she hoped would not be too off-put by the distance.

Normally she would have reached out and tried to lift the girl herself, but with so much happening around them it was actually quite fortunate to have the extra set of hands here even they were... Whatever Tella was. They could lift the girl and keep Kaila's hands free should any unpredictable variables make themselves known, and vice versa of course. If one of them were to suddenly drop her- the worst outcome- they could be assured that the other would reach out and catch Tamsin.

"Your turn! carefully now!" She would call out from across the gap, then lift an oddly shiny vambrace close to speak into a commlink.

<<Droid, I'm transmitting now, bring the ship to my location. Do not uncloak until we've secured an LZ"

Tella rolled her eyes at the Sith's commentary but watched her carefully as she jumped across the chasm of the street, landing gracefully on the next set of rooftops. She had to have been professionally trained, although by which of the many Sith factions she could not say. That would be problematic if it came down to a fight, but for now it was a boon.

Replying to Tamsin, she shook her head.

"No device, as she said, it is through the power of the Force, which you have to potential learn to harness one day. It is what I will use to get you across safely. In time, you may-"

The building began to shake as the combat below began to take off.

"For now, just trust me. Are you ready?"

Tamsin Graves Tamsin Graves Kaila Irons Kaila Irons

Those words of Lesson's remember the high ground, and the force being unnatural where a bit a strange and confusing to her. Then she watched as Kaila leapt across the building though the air and the woman's cape flaring out. She tried to listen for the familiar hum of a repulsor but she didn't hear one. Maybe she was wrong, maybe it was the cape that aided her jump but still that wouldn't explain the height she got the jump.

As Kaila yelled across Tamsin turned to Talle who tried to explain it wasn't some sort of anti-grav tech she had used. It was the force and Tamsin could learn it, the force that was the magick some people claimed the Jedi had. Tamsin understood machines and the mechanical, not something she could ever explain to anyone she just understood them without knowing why she did. The more spiritual things like this force seemed to be had been concepts she really did understand or was exposed to until today.

"So how.." She was about to go into a myriad of questions about what the force was and how it worked but realized she didn't have time at the moment. She then walked up to the edge of the roof, looked across the gap towards kaila, and then down to the ground. People were running chaotically in the streets below. She saw people running to buildings and guards running through the street towards the city square and where the slave auction was.

Trust wasn't easy but Tamsin knew she had no other option. If she thought on it to long, she knew even if she wanted to go back to the slave life, she couldn't, just being on this roof meant she was an escape slave which in most cases meant death. She didn't want to be a slave, she had so few options open to her at the moment adding to her fear and confusion.

"Alright…" She said with a heavy breath. "What do you need me to do? Anything or are you just going to toss me?"

Tella nodded back at Tamsin, understanding the girl had questions but had finally understood the urgency.

"I will make it relatively easy for you and you may not even need to do this, but what you should do is keep your arms up and tight and bend your knees once you are about to land, feet first, then roll over forward-don't fight the momentum, let it disperse over you. Just in the event anything goes wrong."

"I will give you a countdown to prepare. Here we go: ten, nine, eight, seven…"

It was also useful for Tella to build and collect the necessary Force energy more slowly, which was less stressful on her and drained her less. She had to conserve her energy if the Sith was leading them into some kind of trap or if more of the zombies or slavers or whoever showed up.

"six...five...four…three…two…one….!"

Tella pushed Tamsin into the air with a relatively gentle upward Force Push guided by a slight cushion of wind through Alter to ease the transition off the sandstone building. It should be a relatively-for the situation anyway-comfortable ascent to the middle of the street, where Kaila should pick her up, although Tella was ready in case the Sith tried anything.

The sandstone building shook again, and she could feel the Force growing into a storm in the plaza behind her.

And then I will have to plan for my own escape, although mother said any intelligence on Laphisto's combat capabilities would be appreciated, given their encounter on Ossus.

Tamsin looked down at the ground once more and then back to Tella with a nod. “Right, ready then.” She took a few steps back from the edge of the roof. She really didn’t want to take that fall if things failed, that would be more than a few broken bones. She had to reassure herself she could trust this, Tella had after all safely brought her up the roof in the first place even if she didn’t understand how.

"I will give you a countdown to prepare. Here we go: ten, nine, eight, seven…"

The countdown began Tamsin’s heart racing. She didn’t have a fear of heights, but that fall wouldn’t be fun if it happened. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, but they quickly opened, she looked back at Tella, she swore she heard a female laughing when she closed her eyes. There was nothing Tella was fully concentrating on the task at hand. Tamsin closed her eyes again to silence, taking a breath trying to shut out the noises in the street below and square behind her.

"six...five...four…three…two…one….!"

The words Up, Up, and Away flashed in her mind’s eye as she was launched up into the air. Tamsin felt her feet lose ground as she went up into the air her eyes opened as she shot across the gap of the roofs. She looked down for the briefest of seconds and her eyes went wide and she screamed. “Ahhhh fr………aaak!” Alerting pedistrians and guards below who all instinctively looked up to see a small slave girl flying throw the air.

She thought she was going too fast, and she was but not because of Tella’s fault, Tella’s actions were flawless, executed to near perfection. Tamsin would have had a near perfect landing but that laugh she had heard in her head that showed the words and been the woman laughing she had heard decided to have a little fun. It had absorbed some of the force Tella used in her push to push back against the push and causing her to project forward faster than was necessary.

Then she felt herself descending and fast…..she was panicking and breathing heavy as the ground came into sight. “Frak, frak, frak……” She closed her eyes this was going to hurt she thought to herself. She tried to remember what Tella told her arms out and tight, bend your knees, and roll forward using the momentum. Then the ground came and everything Tella had suggest came to pass, Tamsin landed knees bent and went into a perfect roll forward. It was almost unbelievable, like Tamsin had done it before but she hadn’t. She wasn’t in control in that split second someone or something else was. Tamsin came out of the roll just a few feet from Kaila left leg forward and right leg back.

However, as she came out of the roll her momentum could have been easily stopped before running into Kaila there was just the slightest push of the ball of the right foot. Again, it wasn’t Tamsin doing it, the push kept the momentum going and Tamsin’s body went barreling forward towards Kaila out of control.

"Oh chit...!" Kaila muttered as the girl came flying across the gap at high speed, reaching out to try grabbing her with the force but it was too late. Tamsin thankfully stuck the landing somehow but was unable to recover and came barreling towards her, nearly shoving Kaila over if not for her smaller stature.

Kaila kept them both from falling by leaning forward and putting an arm around the girl, even then her foot slid back a few inches as they collided.

"Are you alright-"

She was cut off by the sound of blaster fire, causing her to hunch over the girl protectively as a beam of plasma grazed her shoulder, although strangely she barely made any more sound than a sharp inhale despite the clear scent of burnt flesh and the thin wisp of smoke wafting from the singed fabric.

A feint blue glow surrounded them just like it had surrounded Tamsin when the tower fell, deflecting more blaster bolts wildly as a pair of city guards came bursting through the roof access door nearby.

"Do not touch the barrier!" She held Tamsin a little tighter to make sure she'd stay in the safety of the dome's center, then flung her free hand out. Simultaneously, a spectral hand reached out the remaining distance to touch the barrier, and lightning shot out from their combined finger tips as Kaila's eyes took on a violet glow even through the mask.

The barrier crackled with electricity along it's dome-like surface, and then bolts began to arc out wildly until finding purchase within the guards, several striking and bringing them to their knees until the barrier suddenly dropped, allowing Kaila to let go and then push the two men back down the stairs from whence they came with an unseen force.

Only then did she allow herself to wince and rub at her burnt shoulder with a gloved hand as she turned to check on the girl.

"Tamsin, you alright? Where's Tella...?"

Tamsin Graves Tamsin Graves Tella Voland Tella Voland

What?

Tella felt the Tamsin use the Force, but not in the way one might expect a regular untrained Force Sensitive would, a desperate, untrained burst of power. No, it was more subtle, and if she had not been carefully watching she would not have seen it. The girl used the Force to absorb-and then work against-her own Force push, to her detriment. Tella would not have believed it and would have blamed the Sith for the disturbance if she had not seen it herself.

Luckily, the girl had listened, and managed to land in the way Tella had told her, although the Sith managed to catch her prize. Tella was still trying to figure out what happened when two guards burst through the other roof's door, opening fire at the two of them, which the Sith dealt with by throwing up a barrier and then using lightning, although just the regular and not the more powerful red variant. Definitely somewhat skilled, and definitely going to scare the already skittish girl even more.

I'll have to figure out what is up with her when I get across, all I can do is reach her for now and not leave her alone in the grip of that woman.

Tella was not as proficient in jumping as she was in other areas and the distance was too large for her to simply leap using the Force to enhance her body conventionally, instead she played to her strengths doing a running jump off the building then using a powerful gust of wind to propel herself across, and then a small cushion of air to cushion her landing. She performed the same roll as Tamsin did, but far more elegantly, coming up a little ways short between the two.

"Tamsin," she started "what happened? There was-"

A hint of danger through the Force, Tella's head turned towards two more guards trying to parkour their way up from a stall to their roof. Narrowing her eyes, she projected a small adjustment to their vision into their minds-making them think the jump was shorter than it actually was. The two guards, a human and a trandoshan, attempted to make their final jump onto the roof-only to misjudge the distance and fall screaming to the ground below, where their screaming was soon heard as bones broke and pain flared through their body.

"Never mind that for now…" she turned and looked at Kaila, still untrusting. "I take it you have an exit plan?"

Tamsin Graves Tamsin Graves Kaila Irons Kaila Irons

"Ooooof!" Tamsin grunted as she slammed into Kaila who thankfully stopped the momentum catching her and managing to keep them both from tumbling to the ground. Before Tamsin could tell Kaila she was fine, she found herself being hunched over as blaster fire opened up on them. Outside of her eye she just caught a glimpse of a blaster bolt grazing Kaila's shoulder. Then a blue aura came to life around them both, as Kaila pulled her in tighter and told her not to touch the blue barrier.

Tamsin just watched as Kaila flung her arm out and touched the barrier. Tasmin watched in shock as lightning sprung forth from the spectral hand sprung forth super charging the barrier. Then the whole barrier lit up with electric infusion snap and crackling as the blaster bolts were deflected back at the guards who were brought down. Tasmin looked up her eyes almost asking if this was even real, and she noticed a violet hue coming out from the helmet's visor.

"Tamsin, you alright? Where's Tella...?"

Tamsin's mouth was agape, no words came out. Her mind was trying to rationalize what had just happened. The technology needed to produce such an effect could be made but the power it would require would hardly have been portable. This is what the force was capable of?

"Tamsin," she started "what happened? There was-"

Tamsin's attention turned as her name was called out, now seeing Tella on the roof with them. "Kaila…." She was about to try and explain what Kaila had just done thinking that was what Tella was asking about but she was cut off as more guards started trying to make there way to the roof top. Tamsin just watched as they leapt across the roof only to miss and fall screaming. She could still hear them screaming after hitting the ground in pain from thier broken bones.

"Never mind that for now…" she turned and looked at Kaila, still untrusting. "I take it you have an exit plan?"

Tamsin then looked back at the ground where the guards from earlier that Kaila had dispatched had been, laying there on the ground was a GL-13 blaster pistol that had been dropped. She then reached into the dress she was wearing and pulled out the med kit Kaila had handed her earlier for her thumb. She reached out with it handing it towards Kaila. "For your shoulder." She kept her eyes off the blaster not drawing attention to it, but she wanted it, but she needed to get it without Tella and Kaila noticing. It might be the only protection she had from the two if this was some sort of twisted game.

"I will be fine all things considered…" Finally answering Kaila. Still not sure what the hell was going on. Turning to Tella. "If you want to know about the whole lightning thing, ask Kaila she did it. I can't explain it…." She really couldn't explain it and was oblivious to the real reason why Tella asked her what the hell happened.

The trio might hear a feint hum in the air even over the pained yelping below as Tella sent two men to their near deaths, Kaila visibly searching the sky for it's origins until Tella spoke again.
"Never mind that for now…" she turned and looked at Kaila, still untrusting. "I take it you have an exit plan?"

She did not respond, merely raising a finger to shush the grey while focusing her senses, the violet glow having faded as she was no longer focused on offensive powers.

"There," The hum became a roar as The Masquerade entered the city and decloaked, suddenly visible to all.

"That's our exit!" She stated proudly while pointing to the stealth courier which began to circle while searching for a place to land.

"For your shoulder."

Kaila turned her attention from the sky to Tamsin, tilting her head. It was curious to see the girl offer the very same medpac back to her when Tamsin's own thumb remained broken. Neither of them could do much about their present circumstances, but with Kaila's wound having been cauterized, the girl likely needed medical attention more than herself.

"That' sweet," She would pat Tamsin on the head "But there's no time, I'll tend to us both aboard the ship"

As if on cue, the courier ship touched down atop a large flat roof a couple buildings over, it's droid pilot sending a hurried chime over the commlink about Kaila's wrist.

<<We're on our way, be ready to cloak and run>> She would speak into the commlink before turning to the others.

"Tella, I need you to watch my back in case something goes wrong. Tamsin, I would like to lift you across this time- not throw- but lift, to avoid what happened last time. It's slower, which is why I want backup, but comparatively safer for you"

Tella was irritated as the Sith dared to hush her, but said nothing as she was trying not to look overly petty to Tamsin. Instead, she waited until the others had finished speaking, ignoring most of the what the Sith said and finding it patronizing that she patted Tamsin on the head, as if she was already claiming her as her own. Of course that is what the Sith do, treat you like a child…and give you the same rights as one too.

"It was not about the lightning, when I tried to lift you across there was a…disturbance…in the Force. I am not sure what it was, but you should not have landed how you did. There's something off that we need to figure out before we risk anything again."

She turned towards Kaila, firmly responding and letting her know something was wrong. She was not petty enough to endanger Tamsin's life just so the Sith could look bad if whatever was wrong happened again.

"You need to be prepared for something to go wrong with her. I can watch your back, as you put it, but if that anomaly rears its head again, who knows what could happen?"

She glanced again at Tamsin.

"What did you feel when I lifted you across? Did you feel anything out of place? Think hard if you can."
She asked, genuine concern in her voice. She had recalled something about the Sith mentioning "twin souls" before and Tamsin having one, but it was not something she had run across, nor did she really trust the word of a Sith. She would rather hear it from the girl herself.

Tamsin Graves Tamsin Graves Kaila Irons Kaila Irons

Tamsin could just barely make out a light buzz just before a ship appeared a few roof tops away from the group. The escape plan only a skip and jump away then there was a freedom. Something Tamsin had never had in her life just moment away. Fear once again set in, though this was different, the fear of the unknown of what was to come next.

"Take it." She said honestly, looking at her thumb with a bacta patch on it. It dulled the pain she hardly felt it, though she knew it wouldn't heal properly in its current state. "I need a minute anyway." The thought of going the air again so soon after the last time, was a bit daunting. On top of that she needed to buy herself sometime to get to the blaster. She gave the medkit to Kaila and took a few steps away.

Then Tella started in asking what the hell happened when Tamsin was up in the air. Tamsin looked at her confused for a moment, she hadn't done anything she was aware of. She tried to think back on it but nothing was coming really obvious or at least nothing she thought of as really out of the ordinary. Then she remembered the laugh she thought she heard.

"Just before you sent me off I heard someone laughing, at first I thought it was you but you were pretty focused. Then just like when you lifted me before I felt a cold chill in my body and it felt like I had no control over my body." Well not her whole body she had control over her eyes, head movements, and speech. "It was like I was a passenger in my own body from the neck down. Isn't that how your uhhhhh….lifty thing works?" She lifted her left hand wiggling it about like she was playing with air like they both seemed to do when manifesting the force.

Tamsin moved about as she spoke to Tella inching herself closer to the blaster but making it look like she was dealing with the fact she was about to go in the air again and trying to answer Tella's questions as best she could. "I mean there were the words that also flashed in my head but that's normal it happens all the time. I mean a lot of strange crap has been happening today I mean I have even heard voices in my head, one sounded a lot like Kaila when you were lifting me the first time. Is that something you all can do?"

"Well, if you insist" She clipped the medpac to her belt from whence it came, listening to both women but trying to keep her senses about her all the while.

Tella asked about the anomalous way in which Tamsin's powers manifested, and the girl's answers were unusually honest but otherwise unsurprising. They all but confirmed Kaila's initially theory, all symptoms of possession she had experienced when Parasideus still had control. Every detail, down to the exact wording.

It was as relieving to hear- for knowledge that she had the means to render aid- as it was heartbreaking to see it all over again, but from the outside.

"I spoke to you through the force, yes. It's something we can do with practice, But if you've heard a voice that wasn't ours, and you've already lost control once today, then I fear that you..."

She turned to Tella, speaking in a more hushed tone.

"She's in the early stages of possession. I've learned to control it, but the ritual will take time to complete. Even if it is temporary, it is in her best interest that I either teach her how to perform it or that I be allowed to perform it before we all part ways"

"Now please," She turned addressed them both.

"Either we lift Tamsin across, or the three of us try our luck on the ground, but I suggest we come a decision quickly"

Tamsin Graves Tamsin Graves Tella Voland Tella Voland

The more she heard the more Tella disliked the current plan and the situation. Possession? This sounded like something her mother should handle on Ossus, given their extensive resources there from the former Jedi and Sith libraries to find a more permanent solution. The Sith claimed she had a ritual which could help, but again it was a Sith ritual of all things, likely to be dangerous with the potential to backfire, even more so with a completely untrained Force Sensitive.

She glanced again at Tamsin. The girl looked, and felt, terrified, which was understandable given the situation. She replied to her first.

"No, what you experienced is not normal. You should have had full control over your body, perhaps even heightened control given the circumstances. What the Sith said, this time, would seem true. You have a kind of 'passenger' with you, although we don't know its nature."

She shook her head at the Sith next.

"We should find a place to land. Who knows what could happen if we try to lift her? She could get seriously injured or worse. We do not know what triggers her little difficulty, and we need to be ready in case it resurfaces again."

Tella did not want to take any chances with the safety of the girl. She did genuinely want to help her as much as she could, and leaving it up to chance whether or not she would completely lose control of her body, and worse, her Force abilities, while floating in the air seemed like a horrible idea.

The two jedi, sith, hand wiggling whatever's started talking about possession. I mean for all the strange stuff she had seen and experienced just in a short period of time it wasn't really that crazy and out there. Still Tamsin didn't believe a word of it, because that would mean she was possessed for as long as she could remember always seeing words pop in her head at certain moments in her life.

She kept inching back toward the weapon and it was long, and it was just a step behind her. The words of a ritual didn't sound good at all though as she heard them. Of course, her only frame of reference was the kind of rituals Blougah the Hutt liked and they were unsavory, thankfully Tamsin never had to participate. Though had seen many rituals of combat where a bosting tough guy would be forced to face off against some creature in Blougah's zoo usually the rancor. It never ended well for the tough guy, because the poor rancor would starved a few days before the ritual took place.

"Yep, I am demon for sure." She quipped under her breath as she took one half step back and turned around to pick up the blaster. As she did she saw the steps that Kaila had tossed some guards down earlier. She quickly stuffed the blaster into her dress. "How about we take the steps down if you are both so worried about the demon in me?"

"Not a demon, more of a spirit" She hummed in thought while stroking her chin with a leather-clad hand.
"How about we take the steps down if you are both so worried about the demon in me?"

"Oh but I'm less worried about the spirit, more worried for your safety. I've learned how to consume them, you have not"

"But you are correct," She moved for the stairs, opening the door via the force as she walked past Tamsin, ignorant of the blaster as she was currently focused on their assumingly shared goal of fleeing this place.

"The stairs will be safest. I've got point, but we all need to stay close"

The stairs would take them down into what must have been some kind of Inn, most of the doors being locked and others left open as their occupants must have fled the building when the city guard came searching for the trio of unlawful force users. A few individuals could be seen cowering behind the front desk as Kaila descended the stairs.

To which she stopped for but a moment

"Sorry for the mess"

Then flicked a few credit sticks atop the counter as she passed by, once again opening the front door with an unseen hand as she took up an inactive lightsaber in the other.

She would peek the corner then, not seeing any guards just yet, only fleeing citizens that were still fleeing the auction or even the nearby street after hearing blaster fire mere moments ago from the rooftop she'd just vacated.

"Not seeing any guards... I'll watch the right, Tella if you'd kindly watch the left"

And then just like that, she pushed out of the doorway.

The ship was landed atop a roof on the other side of the building directly in front of them. Freedom was nearly at hand for the girl, A safe place in which Kaila could explain to both of them what her intentions were and how best to solve Tamsin's ghost problem, and whatever the hell that Gray Jedi was after, all of it was so close now.

What could possibly go wrong?

Tella Voland Tella Voland Tamsin Graves Tamsin Graves

Tella felt bad for the Tamsin. She was clearly way out of her league and she did not blame her. Earlier today she was a slave, now she was dealing with force zombies, talks of possession, and a Sith suggesting they do a "ritual" to "consume" whatever was inside of her. She must be terrified. She was, unlike Kaila, paying enough attention to notice the girl had slipped a blaster inside of her dress. Tella did not begrudge her that, even if it was more of a safety blanket than a real means of defending herself considering she had zero training, since it likely made her feel more secure.

As the Sith mentioned being concerned about Tamsin's safety, Tella again had to refrain from raising her eyebrows. Sure she was, like any slave owner who was concerned about the state of their slave-if they died or became injured, it was a loss to them, whatever the slave might feel.

Tella let Kaila lead the way in the event anything happened, staying closer to the Tamsin, and replied to the girl.

"I will be honest with you as I have been, this is the first time I have heard of this occurring, but I am sure my mother knows of ways to get rid of it or control it if you were to come with me, if you are not comfortable about a Sith 'ritual' to 'consume' it. I have a feeling there is a way of handling things that is not so…dramatic..and risky sounding." She whispered to the girl as Kaila dealt with the citizens of the Inn.

Tella, letting the girl mull over what she had said, moved to follow Kaila, and glanced outside just as she did. This was strange, the city guard usually did not just give up that easily. What was more strange was they were just letting a ship land on top of one of the rather rickety Tatooine structures without making it go to a docking bay.

"It seems okay from what I can tell, but even for Bestine they usually have some kind of countermeasures for this. And no more guards?" Tella asked, skepticism in her voice. "We should still be prepared for anything."
