SPECIAL FEATURES
STRENGTHS
  • Anti-Reflection: The energized plasma beams fired by the Attendant are encased in a relatively weak electromagnetic field by design. While this prevents them from maintaining integrity over extreme ranges, it allows the bolts to immediately destabilize upon impact, yielding an explosion in the process that prevents reflection by lightsabers, Xythan Force shields, and similar defensive technologies.
  • Anti-Ray Shield: The energized plasma beams fired by the Attendant possess a rare energy frequency, lending them the capability of bypassing ray shields. However, they can be intercepted by molecular, Xythan force, Arkanian, and Verpine shields.
  • Extreme Power Quotient: The power quotient of a single energized plasma beam fired by the Attendant matches that of a heavy pulse cannon, capable of ripping through light repulsor craft and heavy powersuits, in addition to challenging the armor of low-flying starfighters.
  • Accuracy: In utilizing a manual action with no moving parts, the Attendant enjoys a hyper-surgical degree of accuracy out to distances of well over a mile. As such, a skilled shooter can play the rifle to terrifying effect at great distances.
WEAKNESSES
  • Rate of Fire: Akin to a slugthrower bolt-action rifle, the Attendant utilizes a manual bolt-action recharger which must be manually operated before each shot. As such, the weapon suffers from a very low rate of fire, especially compared to blaster rifles and conventional sniper blasters.
  • Power Cell Capacity: With only five shots per power cell, the Attendant’s low ammunition capacity means frequent reloading and more power cells that the operator must carry on their person in order to keep the rifle viable over a long firefight.
DESCRIPTION
As the first in a line of mass-produced weapons manufactured by First United Astral Engineering, the Attendant is a high-powered precision weapon that features a high degree of technological integration, including a targeting computer, an autosteady system for shooting in unsupported positions, a weapon integrity reader, and other advanced systems. These systems highlight the Attendant’s extreme accuracy, further augmenting the talents of a skilled shooter to facilitate them in reigning terror on their enemies from afar. While the Attendant suffers from a very low rate of fire given its abnormally manual operation via the bolt-action recharger, it more than makes up for this drawback with its power quotient, which matches that of a heavy pulse cannon, lending it a strong potential to burn through even the most exotic and molecularly dense materials, in spite of the rifle being of a light weight construction.

All in all, in the right hands, the Attendant has the potential to be a long-range instrument of terror, inflicting death on the shooter’s enemies with divine fury.
