Strengths:
  • Body Blocker: The front facing deflector shield
  • Tanky: From the front, the armour of the droid is thick, making it extremely resistant to small arms fire, this is not enough to take hits from anti-tank weapons. The added protection of the front facing shield makes this droid especially hard to kill.

Weaknesses:
  • Sluggish: The maneuverability of the Devastator is limited, as it lacks legs or any form of movement other than the repulsors. It has a low turning speed and cannot quickly arrest its momentum.
  • EMP: While having some resistance to ion weapons, the Devastator can easily be felled by EMP based weapons.
  • Weak Points: The rear of the droid is vulnerable, as the armour is weak and there are multiple gaps in the plating.

DESCRIPTION

The hulking cycloptian figure of the Devastator droid is designed to intimidate. This model of the Devastator is built to defend the interiors of buildings and starships, or conversely to grind through interior defenses in CQB. The twin scatterguns are able to fill the air in front of the F-1b with projectiles, letting it lock down areas and giving it an option against lightsaber wielders. The front facing deflector shield is able to deflect most fast moving projectiles, adding to the already venerable durability of the chassis. The droid does struggle to turn around within the close confines of starship corridors, and if it is flanked it has few ways to defend itself.
