An interesting deal with the Sith Empire was about to take place in a shy fifteen minutes as Ar'ekk prepared to meet with a contact regarding the purchase of some top of the line ships that would greatly benefit his future operations with the Hutts.

Either they could prove as a good opportunity to resell at exorbitant prices or put them to use in the near future, he would not walk away empty handed from here.

Pulling into one of the many available docking bays of the orbital complex, the Ebon Hawk settled down safely in its assigned spot. Hopefully, the person he'd be meeting with would be there with a welcoming party that'd preferably would keep things peacefully.

If things turned south, which he hoped that didn't, a backup plan would be under his sleeve.

However... Where there's money, there's a will. No one would be that reckless to pull any dumb tricks, specially in a place like this.

"RB, stay with the ship. Make sure the shields are up, I'll be back soon."

Though the use of materiel from the Imperial Graveyard had certainly assisted Defiance in manufacturing the myriad of ships it had crafted for the Sith Empire, Vanessa was still having difficulty doing what needed to be done. It was still a net drain on resources to use the hulks from the graveyard, and some form of compensation aside from the price the Sith paid for their new ships would be needed. Given the fact that almost any ship in the graveyard would be slagged, even by older Sith fighters and warships, she had considered dipping her foot in the waters of offering some of this exceedingly obsolete technology to members of the criminal element - a way of making money at minimal risk, to compensate.

"I see you're the man I was told would be coming." Vanessa said as she approached Arekk. "Please come with me. We have a bit of a jaunt to take."

"That's me. I'm very much interested on our business, please lead the way."

This was a massive shipyard, no doubt they would be able to provide the necessary elements to have a lethal and effective fleet at his disposal. She looked the part, a serious business woman that went straight to the point just like he liked his business dealt with.

"Please, call me Ar'ekk. I can see you've got a massive operation here on Nathema, no doubt we can reach something agreeable today."

He hoped so that much, not really wanting to go home with his hands empty at all. That wasn't something he'd like so his negotiations would have to be fair and within the limit, credits were not an issue.

“Consider yourself fortunate - some recent circumstances, to say the least, have been responsible for my change of heart regarding even allowing a small selection of outsiders the opportunity to come here.” Vanessa continued.

“I have come across the remains of a naval force beyond comparison. This naval force was once the scourge of the galaxy before being devastated by the Fel Imperium and rendered incapable of arising once more.” She said. “I more than likely am the only person with any knowledge of the location of this force now, and though it certainly is not capable of rivaling current military technology, I would not be opposed to offer it as equipment to some of your associates. Pirates and brigands hardly have modern equipment after all.”

She continued to think about how best to continue approaching the situation as she led them to a very specific shuttle. “In here. We’ll be traveling for a bit - if you want a snack, don’t hesitate to ask.”

"Then I shall take this honor with the utmost respect, miss. You having me here is already some great progress and I appreciate the gesture."

He made a gesture with his hand for Vanessa to move forward, walking side-by-side at a moderate pace and continuing their chatter.

"As long as they serve their purpose well without any issues whatsoever, I don't think my associates will mind at all. This equipment will serve greatly when put into use in future. That is if we... come to an agreement."

Making his way into the shuttle after Vanessa, Ar'ek stood silently during their small trip. His stomach growled loudly but he did not feel the need to ask for a snack. Business was more important than satiating his temporary hunger, eyes on the credits and the prize.

The shuttle would soon exit the hangar of the complex and fly away from it. Vanessa sent a signal to a communications beacon nearby which transmitted a set of coordinates to the shuttle's navicomputer - coordinates the shuttle used to jump to the location in question. This location was well away from any hyperlane, or even any system whatsoever - truly it was the void of space. Immediately before them was a mammoth Tulak Hord-class Star Destroyer, floating lifelessly in the void before them.

"Please Transmit Identification."

A mechanical voice rang through the shuttle's interior as Vanessa typed something in and transmitted it to whatever the voice was coming from. Alongside the shuttle flew two TIE Detonators, their solar panels dinged and dented, the New Order's faded emblem still visible on their exterior wing.

"Identity confirmed. Welcome to the storage facility, Miss Savan. It has been ONE YEAR, FIVE MONTHS, and TWENTY FOUR DAYS since your last recorded visit."

"Just the automated defenses. The graveyard is booby-trapped. See those fighters?" She pointed at the battered TIEs that buzzed away from the shuttle as they went further through the graveyard, disappearing into a the hangar of a Pellaeon II. "TIE Detonators, of New Order vintage. They've been programmed to crash into any enemy ship that does not transmit the correct codes within fifteen seconds - and given their payload bays are full of antimatter charges, I would prefer to be quicker on the margin." The duo would pass by the blackened and charred bridge of a Pluton-class Battleship that was notably missing its main turrets. "The Saturn. I had to salvage her guns for the Ablution's when they wore out."

Vanessa stopped next to the hulk of another Pellaeon II before activating a holoprojector. "This is pretty much everything in here. We have some even older ships too - we're talking original Sith Empire - but this covers what we have the most of. Anything catch your eye?"

The ships escorting them and those that Vanessa had showed him were nothing but a mere minuscule part of the fleet amassed from ancient legions and fleets, he was impressed about everything. Despite being old and outdated pieces of flying metal they would definitely serve a much greater task under the hands of the underworld.

"I must say I am very impressed with what you've shown me so far." He commented while he looked out the window of their shuttle, his hand pressed against the window.

His eyes lingered on the holoprojector for a moment, riffling each option available for purchase.

"I'm most interested in transport ships, starfighters and gunships. My partners do not deem any other bigger vessels necessary for their operations but it's something we'll keep in mind for future purchases. Any of the models, or the ones you recommend, are perfect to purchase."

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
"Let's see." Vanessa pondered over the various items available from the graveyard. "You initially mentioned transports. There are numerous Veratus-class shuttles and Sigma-class transports in the yard - most were actually in service even beyond the end of the New Order. They were just collected as we found the units using them and sent them their separate ways. There are some Reclaimer repair ships - the five section version, though you can cannibalize sections from any of them - which would be good for starship maintenance."

She scrolled down. "If you're in the mood to mock what's left of the Fel Empire, we have some Hades-class Gunships. Used to be their pride and joy during the Fel-Imperial War. There are also plenty of the old S90 MAATs and Pandorum heavy gunships. As for starfighters..." She scrolled through the surprisingly large list of Sith starfighters that had been in use with the New Order - the lack of standardization had certainly harmed them from a logistics perspective. "If you have the manpower, we do have tens of thousands of TIE Caridas floating around here. They were used for training and back-line defense, but could certainly be updated to modern standards. Plenty of TIE Rapiers too - the former space superiority fighter of both the Sith Empire and the New Order. Also have TIE Gladiators, some TIE Hound scouts... Well, what really catches your interest?" She inquired.

His knowledge of military-grade vessels and transport ships was good enough to carry out the purchases alone but any of the specifics were nothing but mumbo-jumbo slang.

Sure, his interest had peaked on a few ships that the woman had mentioned and made mental notes of each with their respective characteristics. If the man was going to make the right choice, he had to take his time about it.

"I want the following ships."

Reaching inside his blazer for a small datapad, Ar'ekk showed the holoscreen to Vanessa while he scribbled down an inventory of vessels needeed to seal the deal. The list included TIE Hounds, Aleph-class starfighters and two Hades-class gunships.

"The transference of credits can be immediate through an encrypted channel to any account of your choice, of course. Instant approval."

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
"Of course." She said, typing in a notice to the Trigon Two platform responsible for overseeing the graveyard. "Some minor ground rules. You may refit the ships you've acquired to your heart's content after your purchase of them. If you ever attack any Sith or Sith-affiliated ships with them, the Empire will hunt your vessels down and eliminate them. Do not attack Sith or Sith-affiliated vessels. The ships will be given to you in a fully functional form, with their transponder codes wiped and replaced with civilian ones. You agree that we are not to be held liable for anything that occurs to your pilots or other individuals after transferal of ownership of these ships to you." She finished. "With that understood, do we have a deal?"

She offered a hand.

The man's hands reached out for Vanessa's to shake it with a strong grip. Everything was agreed with, the terms were fair and her money would be deposited to one of the accounts she had chosen prior to discussing details. Ar'ekk held the datapad on both hands, using his dominant one to type into the screen and make the credit transfer right away.

"Name a number and we'll close this officially."

With that out of the way, his organization would be empowered by ancient yet functional Sith ships with state of the art technology which would be more than enough to carry out tasks in the underworld.

"This deal has to be celebrated with a drink, if that's your kind of thing. It is for me."

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
"Seven hundred and fifty thousand credits." She said. "The Alephs are the most valuable. We don't have that many of them here as is." She made a mental note to begin the production of a small squadron of Alephs for use by elite Sith Empire fighter pilots. Assuming the fighters in question could even be duplicated, that was...

"I don't hit the bottle that much anymore, but I'm willing to make an exception this once." She said. "Once we get back to the Complex, let's get to the bar and drink to this successful transaction."

With a few more tappings on the holoscreen, Ar'ekk successfully transfered the aforementioned sum and concluded the deal. The progress made today with the purchase of valuable and highly recommended Sith vessels would make his operations much more easier thanks to their reliability.

"Your balance should be updated, feel free to confirm."

His eyes looked out the window to watch the TIEs escorting their shuttle, admiring every last detail on them. The purchase was a good decision as any other and considering he had more than enough cash to spend, he'd definitely come back for some more.

"I appreciate that. Tradition's always important."

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
"It was about time to shrink this graveyard. Most if not all the remaining hulks are destined for the furnaces, to be turned into other more modern warships." She pointed out the glow of the furnace as a Pellaeon II was fed into it, the ancient Star Destroyer half inside already. "It'll be smelted down and reconstituted into, I don't know. Maybe a dozen Carrack IIs. Maybe an Aqua liquid transport. Who knows." She said. "The Pellaeon IIs even date back to the original Sith Empire, before the Fel Imperium, the Republic, and everyone else shattered it." Vanessa reminisced a bit before sighing.

"Anyways... our business is concluded here. Give me a location to drop the ships off at and I'll send a Tryton to deliver them." With that, the shuttle headed out of the graveyard as data was fed in from the Trigon Two, the shuttle soon jumping to hyperspace, on its way back to the Complex.
