Eternal Empire

[Batva Narrator]

For a millennea, the desolate, and dark, world of Batva was isolated and ignored by the greater galaxy. However, only recently has it become noteworthy to others. First, some wayward spacers, who remain nameless in galactic records, found the planet by accident. Yet, a recent pulse in the force radiated from the planet like it was trying to scan nearby systems. This pulse was felt by those in the capital worlds of the Eternal Empire, and has caught the attention of the Empress herself. A team of intrepid explorers for the Eternal Empire are now called to explore this new world to get to the bottom of what is going on in the dark fringes of the galaxy.

OOC: This is a campaign thread for a relatively small group of characters as part of the New Worlds narrative that was brought up in a faction advert in the previous month. If you are interested in this, and-or want a better understanding of what is to come of this, feel welcome to post here. I will be the GM for this campaign that introduces the planet of Batva, and thus any questions of interest and-or clarification are welcome.

Plenty to eventually find. IC, nobody will know what is going on. OOC, there will be a sentient race, the Batvadans, that I created that will be found. The native character I have made for this race will be rather powerful in the force, but not understand that. With this, it would be discovering the existance of the Batvadans, some hidden secrets of their ancient civilization, and a few other things I will keep up my sleeve for the narrative.

There are some bits of ancient Batvadan technology not left unable to function due to millennea of neglect that would be a good pull for archeologists. There are also many minerals that could be mined depending on what happens.

Wheelchair accessible is a good question. How is a rocky barren wasteland, and then a potential mineshaft elevator work? From there it's a whole other thing of relatively difficult turrain. Could prove for some interesting story aspects of dealing with that on the journey.

When dealing with what you'd potentially encounter, it would certainly be a good idea to have armed escort here.

-Since you all have expressed interest, wanted to tag you all since the thread is now open. If there are more questions please ask them, however it is open for posts. We have one post already, and would like to have this continue. Feel free to ask anything related to introducing your character to the thread's story. I'm sure we can work something out. If you think you have a good plan in regards to a small exploration team going to a mostly uncharted planet, then you do not need me to say go for it. Just remain in that mindest of this being a somewhat small expedition. Mostly would be about catalogueing what the planet is like, however there is also the force presence that would be looked into as well.
