When one grows up in a certain place, cut off from all outside forces, it is not crazy to believe that they think that what they know is all that’s out there. For nothing else could be out there. It was just what they knew, in the moment. But when they are suddenly pulled from that controlled environment, it is also not surprising for them to be overwhelmed quickly, with new experiences, sounds, sights, and smells assaulting their senses constantly. This was the fight that Shamira was having to cope with, having been rescued from a world that very much wanted all of her kind dead.
To say that she wasn’t grateful for that would be an outright lie. These witches, her people, had saved her life. There was no telling how much longer she would have lasted on that world in hiding. Yet now, it was opened to her that there was so much she didn’t know. That the galaxy didn’t revolve around her tiny, wasteful little planet, and that there was so much more to see. Perhaps this is what prompted to ask the white skinned witch for a ship, or at least a guide, to go explore and further her knowledge.
It had been granted, though not in the way that she had been expecting. Another witch, though this one from outside of the coven, had been approved to act as her guide and pilot for the time being. An interesting gesture, to be sure, but it got Shamira exactly what she wanted. And if the coven trusted her, it was fair to say that she was worth her trust as well.
At least, this is what she told herself as she watched the ship that was going to be her shuttle for the time being land on the platform just outside the coven. A simple ship, really only fit for a few passengers and some supplies, still looked massive to the witch that had only been given her first ride on a starship a few days ago. She was so busy looking over the massive hunk of steel that the side ramp almost came down on her head, electing a yelp and few quick steps backward from her. That didn’t seem very nice, though she supposed it was her fault. Whoever this witch was probably didn’t expect a passenger so naive as to never seen a side ramp before. What a surprise she was in for.
Purple boots clicked against the gravel as she made her way to the front of the ramp, waiting expectantly down at the bottom. “He…hello? Is this the..’starship’ of a Viana Morreth?” She called up, curls falling over her face as she tilted her head to the side as to try and get a better look up the ramp. Hopefully this was the ship she was supposed to be on. Not a random one that Shamira was now holding up, making her look dumb in the process.
